[Qudrat ka Nizam] 'We need to accept wins/losses because this is how nature works': Saqlain Mushtaq

Saqlain didn't produce one single spinner for Pakistan. Our spin bowling was toothless under his reign.

There should be a permanent cross on a black list against Saqlains name from here on out against the PCB for future opportunities.

I was surprised that Saqlain got the Head Coach role in the first place and stand by that.

He should not have been given the job and to be honest he had shown nothing reviously to show that he deserved the role.

So Saqlain's contract expires in a few weeks.

He was okay as a short-term interim measure. There was a fleeting feel good factor with the 2021 T20 World Cup run. However it was soon evident his coaching consisted of little more than shabaashes and backslaps, with Babar being given total authority by Ramiz.

Will go down as the worst PAK coaching tenure unfortunately.

That surely has to go to Mickey Arthur.

As Mamoon has proven several times, Arthur was one of the worst coaches for us, had zero results, and is responsible for our longest losing streak as well.

Our test team showed how poor a coach is saqlain mushtaq. We have always been a good t20 team.

Remind me did we win either one of those finals ?

We couldn't beat an average Sri Lankan team even after reducing them to 58-5.

We got lucky in the World Cup after Netherlands caused a miraculous upset - saving our skins having lost to Zimbabwe chasing a modest total, and a monumental choke against India when they were 31-4.

I'm not a Misbah or Waqar fan, and vocally criticised their coaching tenures. However we didn't lose a home Test series under Misbah or Waqar, and Mickey actually won a tournament, and oversaw our rise to #1 in T20 rankings.

Meanwhile Saqlain has overseen our first ever home Test series whitewash, four successive home Test defeats, and eight winless home Tests in a row.

If you think that's something to be grateful for, perhaps you're watching the wrong sport.

Well let me remind everyone.

Under Waqar we got HAMMERED in the 2016 Asia Cup and 2016 WorldT20 including being shot out for 83 against India.

Under Misbah we got HAMMERED by an England C team and whitewashed against NZ back in 2020/21. He was lucky we didn’t play in an ICC tournament under his reign otherwise the results would have been much worse.

Under Mickey - we got HAMMERED in 2018 Asia Cup, lost 5-0 to NZ and lost 4-0 to England and eliminated in group stages of 2019 WC. Utter humiliation if you ask me..

Blaming Saqlain is the flavor of the month but he has done wonders. Losing 3-4 to England was our ceiling along with doing exceptionally well in the ICC tournaments. The team will regress no matter since our players are simply not good enough who is the next coach and ungrateful fans will deserve the humiliation. We don’t realize it yet but Saqlain actually overachieved with this mediocre team..

Nobody's defending any of those results under the previous coaches. Nor is anyone arguing we have a worldclass talent pool.

However does that mean we only highlight the successes and don't hold Saqlain accountable for his failings ?

I repeat, we've never lost four consecutive home Tests in our history. We've never been whitewashed in a home Test series in Pakistan. This includes even weaker Pakistan teams in the past. This was a new low, and Saqlain must take some responsibility.

It's not just the results either. Selecting Zahid Mehmood over Abrar Ahmed was criminal, especially for a coach whose expertise is meant to be spin bowling. Did he develop a single spinner on his watch ?

Shadab Khan got married to Saqlain Mushtaq’s daughter. Is this not a conflict of interest where a current player is involved with the daughter of the team head coach? How long has the relationship being going on for?

Lol at conflict of interest.

Well in a few weeks Saqlain won't be the head coach so any favouritism will have been lost for Shadab.

Guys - please dont make any comments about the personal lives of cricketers.

We are only discussing Saqlain.

Hahah. I can’t believe I am reading a post like this.

What's it to us how long the relationship is going on for and great post not.

Shaheen Afridi shedding light on 'qudrat ka nizam' after loss to Multan in the PSL 8 Qualifier.

"We lost wickets quickly, and we will look into what went wrong and prepare for the next game as we still have a chance. When the main batters get out early, there is pressure on the lower-order batters,

A good catch or run-out can win you a game; we will work on that. It is Qudrat ka Nizam, the wind started to blow, and Cottrell got the ball to swing. This is Qudrat ka Nizam,"

Saqlain was a high IQ bowler. He troubled the best batsmen of his generation.

It is puzzling that he's such a poor coach. However, a coach can only do so much with a sorry bunch of cricketers who severely lack in skills.

Qudrat Ka Nizam comes to Blackcaps...

The New Zealand cricket team has hired former Pakistan coach, Saqlain Mushtaq, as a consultant.

The announcement was made ahead of New Zealand's tour of Pakistan, where they are set to play five T20s and five ODIs from mid-April.

Well Cricket is just a joke now, such unprofessionalism becomes stupid really.

Saqlain Mushtaq speaking to Radio New Zealand:

"When I had a call from New Zealand I told my spiritual teacher that the offer has come to me to help and support a young Kiwi team"

"He (spiritual teacher) told me two things.... one, if you have the knowledge, do not keep it to yourself."

"Number two, he said that this whole world is ours and god never draws a line on the earth, so enjoy living in this world, help each other and care for each other

"From an Islamic point of view and for humanity you must pass on the knowledge."

What? He is being heavily paid for that. It's not like he is offering it for free. Saqlain brings weird logics again and again.

The much maligned "Qudrat Ka Nizam" gained instant currency among Pakistan fans yesterday - and honestly who would begrudge them that. It was a once in a life time innings by Fakhar.

Here we have it ..Quadrat Ka nizam in play,

Couple of weeks back after Pak lost against Afghan and I had written pakistan off with no chance of reaching the semi , a poster posted this screenshot . All these results had to go in our favour almost for us to reach the semis ..I screenshotted it just for laughs thinking there's no chance.. now we're more than half way through and all the results are coming true on this screenshot. The rain timing being perfect yesterday too..Who can deny Qudrat ka nizam?

New Zealand head coach Luke Ronchi on utility of Saqlain: (tour of Bangladesh)

"I mean his (Saqlain) knowledge of these parts of the world is fantastic and the way he can talk with our spinners and sort of coach them in different areas with, I guess, the trajectory, lines, lengths, and different things like reading a wicket as well, sort of how it might play. It's fantastic, and I guess he played a lot of international cricket. He's been around for a long, long time. To use his knowledge is very big thing for us,"

PCT desperately needs Qudrat ka Nizam now as NZ has crossed 300 and a loss here may end their campaign early.

So when is Saqlain back for another stint? It's time that him, Misbah and Waqar are brought back to enjoy their 2 years.
