No, Indoor stadiums are not the answer. So what can be done about it?

Over the years all formats of cricket have been marred by rains from time to time and some key contests washed away.

This CT like, last is yet again a victim of rains and has already robbed us of one exciting contest and likely to pour water over the much awaited Indo-Pak clash.

So while Cricket has evolved over the years in every aspect, why haven't they been able to work around this menace i.e 'Rain' and find a solution for it?

Can't help it. Cricket is a summer game like football is a winter game and that is how it is supposed to be. If it rains, don't play. If the play should be imminent, schedule them taking weather forecast into consideration. With the advanced technology, you can know the weather months in advance.

Water repellent sprays on pitch, outfield and ball.

Nothing short of retractable roofs in various stadiums. Other than that you have to schedule the matches at the right time of the year too.

On a side note, and a positive one [not really] maybe Trump was right to leave the Paris Climate Agreement, maybe he foresaw cricket being played in the heatwave :|
