Rajasthan Royals will play the role of hosts for the first time in Pepsi IPL 2015 when they take on the Mumbai Indians in Match 9.

The home side should be brimming with confidence given they come into this fixture with two wins from two outings. In their season opener they caused an upset of sorts by defeating last season’s runner-up Kings XI Punjab by 26 runs in Pune. That was followed by a thrilling last-ball three wicket win over the Delhi Daredevils. That RR’s wins have come without any substantial contribution from Steve Smith and Shane Watson – who were seen as their most important players leading into the season – augurs well for the team.

The Mumbai Indians have played two matches but are yet to get their first points on the board. They lost to the defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders in the season opener and then came a cropper in the match against Kings XI Punjab; the margin of defeat in that match might only read 18 runs, but in reality MI were never in the contest after being reduced to 59 for 6 in their pursuit of 178.

Mumbai's batting is a joke - Chand appears to think he's playing a 4 day match out there.

Rohit hit a new low. Got out to Binny :))

Lets see what this Chand kid is made of. This is where names are made. Whole of India is watching.

Mumbai should play Kieron Pollard up the order. He can make a real difference.

And why did Rohit Sharma move down the order when he was doing well as an opener?

Unmukt Chand has lost it completely now. The u19 World Cup win was a flash in the pan.

Just a couple of months ago, I read news that Chand has hit 2 big hundreds. Not sure against whom or what tournament.

I will not write him off so quickly, He did look good when taking singles. But looked awkward when he had to play big shots.

Shows the quality of cricket when Pollard of all people looks like Bradman.

Aren't domestic competitions meant to groom domestic players? Because I noticed pretty much every game in IPL is dominated by already established overseas players. The Indian trundlers are always smashed so they hardly bowl, and the Indian hacksmen don't last long at the crease.

Pollard has been hitting Southee and Faulkner out of the park. Not exactly 'Indian trundlers' are they?

This Pakistani soreness about India and the IPL is getting a tad annoying.

4 out 5 of the leading wicket-takers in last year's IPL were Indians, Narine being the only exception at no.2. In the top 10 leading run-scorers last year, 4 out of 10 were Indians including the leading run-scorer.

You're making conclusions just two games in and even then you have an Indian domestic bowler who's the leading wicket-taker then you have another Indian trundler who has the best economy rate. In the batting department, there are two Indians in the top 5 leading run-scorers.

Let's just wait until at least half the season ends before we start making judgments.

He did score some back to back centuries for India A against visiting international teams last year. So won't say that he was just a flash in the pan. Just need to get back on the track. Praveen Amre's help might turn out to be good for him

HOOOOOOOOOOOOOODDDDDDAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA..... against an unfit, aging Malinga and he is shown his place. God help him if he faces the likes of Junaid.

Well Indian Talents(or lack of it) gonna keep Orbis busy throughout this IPL season
