Zalmi's Cadmore looked like a frightened kitten against Cummins and Kumar. Different class of game altogether!

Terrible captaincy by Cummins

Bhuvi was clearly struggling to bowl to Jaiswal, why did he not bowl himself in the last over of the powerplay instead of giving it to Bhuvi with Jaiswal on strike?

SRH and Cummins were lucky that jaiswal only faced 15 balls in PP thanks to garbage Tom Kohler

Said it earlier, TKC is not a good opener, should've utilised him as a finisher or replaced him with Shubham..

That 19 run over could have been avoided if Cummins bowled it and not Bhuvi

There goes Samson.failed in both big matches. We can't trust that guy in imp matches. He will drive any fan crazy.

Seems correct now that Parag wasn’t selected for the WC squad.

Clearly can’t play under pressure

Shahbaz Nadeem turned this game upside down for SRH

Beautiful bowling

Very disappointing batting by Jaiswal and Parag. A brilliant opportunity for both of them to become legends had they won the match for Royals. But they both couldn’t handle the pressure.

RR was top untill Jaiswal brain fade.

SunRisers Hyderabad beat Rajasthan Royals by 36 runs in Qualifier 2 of the IPL 2024 in Chennai on Friday. SRH thus set up a final clash with Shah Rukh Khan-co-owned Kolkata Knight Riders at the same venue. The summit clash will take place on May 26.

Talking about the game on Friday, the pace duo of Trent Boult and Avesh Khan snapped three wickets each, but SRH managed to post a competitive 175 for nine. Apart from Boult (3/45) and Avesh Khan (3/27), Sandeep Sharma (2/25) also claimed two wickets after RR won the toss and elected to bowl.

For SRH, Heinrich Klaasen top-scored with a 34-ball 50, while Travis Head (34) and Rahul Tripathi (37) got starts but couldn't stay longer. In reply, RR were restricted to 139 for 7 in 20 overs, thanks to Shahbaz Ahmed's 3 for 23.

SRH owner Kavya Maran was ecstatic as the side made it to the IPL final after 6 years.

I think changes are coming to contracts and player availability. Mostly affecting Eng. players.

RR missed Butler big time. Sangakkara mentioned that specifically in the press conf. He is right. I think the time has come for the IPL teams to force players to choose. It is in their best interest.

Should be a good final. Both teams are good and the pitch offering something for both batsmen and bowlers.

Both teams who dominated the whole season are in the final. RCB choked as usual after having a miraculous run in last few games. Good to See KKR and SRH in the final, they deserved that.

I think KKR will take the title in the end.

Well SRH & KKR carried by foreigners (except Abhishek Sharma)..

You are right. KKR has Narine and salt while SRH has Travis Head and Cummins. No Indian guy here who looked good apart from Abhishek and Bhuvaneshwar.

Chakraborty has been good and so has been Harshit Rana.

But yeah, top performers were Narine and Head.
Yep. Foreign players made it easy for both these teams and they were mostly relying on their form to win games. SRH lost badly when Travis head failed at the top, as we have seen in a eliminator.

Agreed. For some reasons most (not all) key Indian players have this disease to play anchor or anchor type role, eat as many balls as possible and get their orange cups, pointless 50s and centuries. This is why I love the way Abhishek Sharma, Rahul Tripathi played. A breath of fresh air. Most of the heavy lifting is done by foreign players for the most part.

All the time from starting its Australian batsmen and indian bowlers for Hyderabad franchise. Gilchrist, symonds,Warner, Head etc. They had afridi in first season and afridi did afridi things while batting to loose the matches from winning positions. (24 balls and 24 runs .He will
hit a 6 and get out when there are no other batsmen left)

They (along with Samson) did the same against RCB, but RCB couldn't capitalize because they are even bigger chickens in knockout games!

Dhruv Jurel is big match player he show that in 2 qualifier and England test series he can play as pure batsman

If KKR wins Gambhir very much deserves a stint as Indian Coach (at least a run - and see what he can offer). I would love to see what he will do with the likes of Kohli, Rohit, etc, and what he demands from them, and whether he forces them to move away if needed... I think Kohli will not find it easy this time as he did with Kumble...

Kohli was at his peak when Kumble was there and he will be gone from t20s after wc.He may retire from odis after 1 year,so all gambir has to do as a catalyst for that change than enforcer.surely Gambir will push the seniors from the team.

Cummins well on his way to complete Cricket in a span of 12 months if he wins the IPL as captain.

Still don't understand why CA chose to go with Mitch Marsh as their T20 captain. Cummins would definitely would have completed captaincy as well.

Its directly a clash between Cummins the captain vs. Gambhir the coach/mentor (I think the latter will be the winner)

There's no way on earth Kohli is not playing the 2027 ODI world cup. He'll "only" be 37 years old then.

Heck , I don't even think he's going anywhere from the T20is until atleast the 2026 WT20. He's still somewhere at his near best and there's just so much money and broadcaster pressure involved.

Indeed, that's what I meant to say...

Travis Head failed yesterday and they still won.

In sub continent no senior will retire on their own.all are leaches and wants to stuck forever for financial reasons. evryone has to go at once by force for the team

India can play jurel at 3 in test gill can move to Kohli position these days Kohli does not have interest in test cricket
Actually, I would say that Kohli will play test cricket till the end. He will retire from T20i and ODI but continue tests till he retires completely.

He should play odi till he Retire. he struggle against spinners in test

Yuzvendra Chahal has conceded 30 sixes in this season which is on the second spot in the list of conceding the most number of sixes in an IPL season ever.

Big day for both KKR and SRH fans as it is the IPL 2024 Final today between Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.

Which team is going to win it?

KKR IMO has the upper hand. Get rid of Travis head and Klassen and the game is theirs.

KKR Or SRH? Grammy-Winning Artist Drake Places Rs 2.07 Crore Bet On IPL Final

Multiple Grammy-winning rapper Drake placed a massive USD 250,000 (around Rs 2.07 Crore) bet on Kolkata Knight Riders to defeat Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2024 final on Sunday. The Canadian musician, who regularly places bets on various sporting events around the world, took to social media platform Instagram to share a picture of the receipt. This was the first time that Drake placed a bet on any cricket match. The post quickly went viral with users commenting on the rapper's betting record.

When it comes to his bets, Drake has lost quite a bit of money including a USD 2 million bet that he placed on the UFC fight in 2022 between Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira. While Drake had his bet on Adesanya winning the fight, Pereira finally emerged victorious via technical knockout.

However, Drake got his SuperBowl 2024 prediction completely right as Kansas City Chiefs claimed a sensational victory over the San Francisco 49ers.

Kolkata Knight Riders topped the league stages with 19 points and then defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad in Qualifier 1 to comfortably book their spot in the IPL 2024 final. On the other hand, it has been a tough road for SRH who finished third in the points table despite showing a good run of form.

In the IPL Eliminator, SRH defeated Royal Challengers Bengaluru and the Pat Cummins-led side followed it up with a comprehensive victory over Rajasthan Royals in IPL Qualifier 2 on Friday.

Pitch Report: It's a red-soil pitch. The square boundaries are 63 and 70 metres; 77 metres down the ground. "The red clay tends to have a lot more bounce than the black one," says Matthew Hayden. "I think it could be a 180-190-pitch. There is not going to be a lot of spin. The cutters will play a part for seamers."

The amount of money bet in IPL is mind boggling .
off topic [ not entirely ] : Starc & Cummins take home a combined $ 5.4 Million 👊

The entire world cup team can leave tomorrow... not even a single player in the IPL final :genius
I noticed the same thing just now when the team sheets came out. Such a pathetic team selection. Hope the army of anchors in Team Indian get exposed big time in the World Cup and we see the end of Kohli, Rohit in Indian team.

Ball of the tournament by Starc. Absolutely unplayable. Ball pitched on a length and moved just enough to miss the bat clip the top of the off stump. Nobody can play a ball like that
