The more you suck up to people, the higher you rise in Pakistan
True. The sycophancy of Mani and Wasim (towards Imran) got them the jobs.

There are 12 teams because the 2nd 11s also play.
Most people don't know anything about 2nd XI games, and frankly, they aren't of the same quality as the domestic system itself.
Abrar Ahmed is an example, he was taking a lot of wickets in the 2nd XI and was spanked when he came to the 1st XI.
I want to see two more teams so that the players who are continuously benched can get opportunities.
The only way to improve the prospects of finding better players is if more are given an opportunity.
Read my post again.
There are players who cannot make their 1st XI teams because of high competition.
It is in our interest to get as many players as possible to play in the mainstream domestic system.
Our interest is also to promote more Pakistan A tours.

Ramiz Raja has tasted PCB power before..... in 2004
Islamabad, Aug 7 (PTI) Ramiz Raja has resigned as the Chief Executive of the Pakistan Cricket Board citing his commitments as television commentator, Board Chairman Sharyar Khan said today.
"I have received, yesterday, a communication from Ramiz Raja stating that due to the heavy schedule of his TV broadcasting commitments in the coming months, he would be unable to do justice to his responsibilities as CEO," Khan told a press conference here.
"In fact, Ramiz had raised this issue with me since the beginning of the Asia Cup and I had asked him to reconsider his decision which he has now conveyed to me," he said.
Raja conveyed his resignation over phone from Sri Lanka where he has been commentating on the Sri LankaSouth Africa series for Ten Sports, Khan said.
"I informed Ramiz that I understood the reasons for his decision. I added that he had taken an honourable course of action, given the need to advance his professional career as a television commentator.
"I accepted his decision to step down from his assignment with a personal sense of regret," he added.
Raja was offered the post of honorary adviser which he said he would consider after his return, Khan said.
The post of CEO will be advertised according to the PCB policy, he said and appreciated Ramiz's services to the Board.
Raja's resignation has been on cards for sometime due to heavy criticism in the media as well as in the cricket circles for his preference to do the dual jobs of commentator and Chief Executive.

Just 1 more team is needed 8 would be too much 7 is perfect. Split sind in South and North Sind.
7 team would guarantee atleast 12 FC matches to everyone each year otherwise you have max 8-9 matches being played by guys in whole year how will they improve.
According to sources, in the meeting, the Prime Minister will inform PCB Chairman Ehsan Mani for not extending his tenure for the next term as PCB head.
Ehsan Mani's tenure as Cricket Board Chief ends tomorrow.
Sources say that Rameez Raja, an old aide of the Prime Minister, is a strong candidate for the PCB chairmanship.
Prime Minister Imran Khan will also meet former captain Rameez Raja, in which he will inform him of his appointment as a new PCB head.
In his meeting with Rameez Raja, the Prime Minister will discuss handing over the affairs of PCB to him for the next 3 years.
It may be recalled that Prime Minister Imran Khan had on August 20, 2018 nominated Ehsan Mani as Chairman PCB in place of Najam Sethi.

As per social media :
Ehsan Mani to meet PM at 3.30 PM today and Ramiz Raja at 4.00 PM.
If Misbah resigns before the month ends , he will definitely get the job. Heck he may even keep the coaching job as well.
Mani is one of the top worst PCB boss. The guy has lack of depth in character, timid like a scared kitten (Even one of my cat was far brave than him) who always hide when problem arise, unfit for big position along with super laziness and bowing down attitude. Good riddance!!!!
Sounds like except Yousuf, rest are good points for Pakistan fans.
Misbah to be shown the door, fixers kept away from the game
He also dislikes Fawad from what I have heard. I heard Ramiz likes aggression and he was a strong advocate of Wahab being the Pakistan Captain after the 2015 WC.
I'm shocked to see Ramiz Raja as our new PCB Chairman. It looks like they didn't think this through properly. The real reason I'm saying this is Ramiz has a lot of personal issues with most of the key PCB figures and it is bound to be a strained and tumultuous relationship.
For example, Mohammad Yousuf has done an excellent job but unfortunately he will most likely be shown the door by Ramiz. Ramiz has remained critical of Misbah all throughout his career, so that relationship is also likely to be strained.
The fixers and fixing in general will not be tolerated so people like Sharjeel, Umar Akmal and Amir won't be around much you would imagine.
Furthermore, you'd expect the senior cricketers whom have been severely criticised by Ramiz to also have a strained relationship with the new chairman.
This appointment will be a total shambles in my opinion.

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan was satisfied with Ehsan Mani’s performance and insisted him to continue as Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman.
Mani presented a report on PCB’s performance during his three-years tenure to PM Khan during their meeting at PM House on Monday. PM Khan expressed satisfaction over Mani’s performance and wants him to continue.
According to the sources, Mani refused to work with the PCB for three more years.
Meanwhile, PM inquired Mani about bidding for the ICC tournaments. Mani answered that it will take 3-4 months more. A report on the new domestic system was also presented to the Premier.
On the other hand, former Test cricketer Ramiz Raja also met PM separately. Reportedly, PM Khan will nominate him and former Board of Governors (BoG) member Jawad Sajid for the next PCB chairman.
BoG members will give votes to the nominated members and the new chairman will be elected.
It must be noted here that Mani had overthrown Najam Sethi as PCB chairman soon after Imran Khan-led Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf made government in the country in 2018.

What are Ramiz’s qualifications ?
What are Ramiz’s qualifications ?
A few twists and turns but it seems that Imran Khan wants Mani to continue, but Mani doesn't want a 3-year term.
In addition Ramiz is being lined up to work within PCB and then possibly take over from Mani.
Dual Chairmen? Maybe one way of learning on the job for Ramiz without doing damage!

Wasn't Ramiz CEO/COO pcb in the past?
IK wants a puppet and Mani fits the criteria. So he can dictate PCB and keep Misbah. Don’t think Ramiz will put up with Misqar’s poor performance for years. IK is no better than Zardari and Nawaz.

I am assuming that Rameez is earning somewhere in the region of 250k a year and the PCB job as chairman pays zilch, so why would Rameez give up 750k over 3 years.
He seems to be running the Lahore Gymkhana club.
Media reports:
Ramiz Raja:
I did meet with the PM and presented him with a roadmap for how Pakistan cricket can go forward. It was a cricket-related discussion on the problems Pakistan cricket is facing and what possible steps can be taken to improve the overall performance.
I am glad he called me up and heard me out. He is concerned about the state of cricket overall and is open to discussion
Pakistan has been extremely inconsistent and, let's be fair, that the ranking in each format reflects that Pakistan cannot make it into the final of tournaments. The only chance they have is to play the semi-final in T20 format while considering the ODI and Test format it's hard for them to go past the pool stage. So I have updated the PM on things on the cricketing front. We had a productive meeting and it is now his call on how to proceed"
Ehsan Mani stepped down so Ramiz Raza chairman of the PCB finally? Saj - is that so?
"The aim is to reset Pakistan cricket's GPS and will be in pursuit of excellence," Ramiz Raja was quoted by the website as saying.....
Ah what?
I've heard that Wasim Khan might be prepared to work alongside Ramiz Raja.
Reset Pakistan's GPS??
- Ex international Cricketer (National captain) who has come through grass root club cricket
- Has been part of ICC cricket committee as well as MCC cricket committee
- Was CEO of PCB for a short period (Is given credit for NCA by many)
- Has MBA as well as has exposure of the cricketing world through commentary stints as well
- On top of that has been vocal, involved and enthusiastic about Pak cricket in one way or another along with being much younger option than most past chairmen which means he will try to form his legacy rather than do run of the mill things and enjoying it as post retirement advisory role unlike some
So on paper and logically he is a pretty good option. I dont think people can recommend many better alternatives.
He is putting his reputation and brand name at risk. He could easily have refused the role given how well settled he is as a commentator and with his YT channel
I've heard that Wasim Khan might be prepared to work alongside Ramiz Raja.
I hope WK stays, we need him to stay and finish his work. He is a Professional CEO in an environment where most of the PCB employees are looking to fleece the gravy train. If you have any contact with WK, please tell him that PK cricket needs him.
I've heard that Wasim Khan might be prepared to work alongside Ramiz Raja.
I have a feeling that Ramiz will be another version of Sethi - he will listen to his press buddies - which in itself may not be bad as long as he listens to the right advice!
