Bullet Drive is one of my favourites.

I troll him and he is delusional sometimes (well most of the times) but he is entertaining and brings value to the forum in his own way.

My favourite posters on pp in no particular order sensible-indian-fan (his posts perfectly match his username,we always don't agree on the same points but still love listening to his very rational arguments Varun(He is point blank and that's what I love about him and his hate for ipl and sir jadeja is legendary :D, 96NotOut(have participated in many amazing threads with her :)@ozgod (one of the most unbiased posters you will find here, a credit to the forum. leatherface58 (Hilarious poster and very underrated on the forum. And last but not the least Mamoon - pp legend and his posts on bhai :amla are just awesome :))
Obliged ma nikka :afridi

Massive fans of Pakistani players others don't see much in. But a fun poster to have around!

8/10

Is it just me or is SIF like the Cupid of this forum, any time any hint of a relationship is mentioned he's bang on the case with advice

I'll be honest. I thought he was an Indian or Pakistani fan based in Ireland at first, but turns out he is an out and out Irishman after all! We won a POTW together once, and that post of his was just quality.

8/10.

We'll remains brothers in arms for that unique achievement :yk

7.9/10. Nice guy and knows a lot about Indian cricket. Surprisingly haven't seen much of him in the TP forums but I guess that's just my mind playing tricks on me.

My favourite director (lost hope with Tarantino and his fetish for masala stuff - fun movies though)...

I consider his film Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb as the greatest film ever made.

Black comedy mixed with unbelievable drama.

Haha...no bud.

Its Stanley Kubrick.

A legendary film director.

Mamoon too thought it was Aamir Khan for a long time and mentioned it a page or two back. ;-)

That's Kubrick around the Strangelove era if I am not wrong.

One of my favourite directors but a notorious perfectionist. (126 takes for a single scene is overkill!!)

Ironically, I didn't like his only foray into my favourite genre all that much. It was good but I felt it was overlong.

His 2001 and Dr. Strangelove are amazing movies though. Even Eyes Wide Shut is underrated.

He is a crazy guy haha.

What's your favourite genre? Talking about Shining?

That pic was a very young Kubrick (maybe of Spartacus or even before period though I am not sure).

Yeah. Well-directed film but an ordinary story. Not engaging enough for 2.5 hours. Some really scary bits though.

Kubrick was a notorious troll. He told George C. Scott to ham like crazy promising him that those scenes won't be used. He then filmed those scenes using hidden cameras and put them in the movie which Scott hated lol.

He also was great friends with Malcolm McDowell during the filming of A Clockwork Orange and after the movie was finished, he never contacted him again. :))

This was nothing compared to what Cameron did on the Abyss though. Now that was a maniac. Rumours are Kate Winslet's bruises in Titanic were all real.

Yeah...Shining had issues.

Did he really get the hamming part like that? Wow.

That guy was amazing in Strangelove due to his OTT actions. Very very funny.

What did Cameron do?

Cameron is notorious for his fits of temper. He reportedly almost got Ed Harris killed on the set of Abyss though Harris and Cameron have denied it. Regardless, he seems to have calmed down. Sam Worthington claimed he was okay during Avatar although probably cause he was working more with technology than humans.

Regardless, Cameron is a taskmaster but he expects 100% from you and gives a 100% too.

9/10. Like sif, I was shocked when I found out she was a girl. Definitely the most knowledgable female cricket fan I've come across. Very friendly and easy to get along with. A highlight of the TP forum. Gets a -1 because she doesn't understand why Hence why is wrong. :P

'Hence why' is redundant, I'll give it that. I wouldn't ever write it in an essay or an article. But colloquially, it's fine :P

Thanks bro ^_^

We had a mathematics teacher who pronounced hence like he was saying "hans." Every time he said it, the class would break out into laughter en masse. He would ask what the problem was, and we would tell him he had told us to laugh.

Then there was the word "thus." Every time he said it, it would be an excuse to kick the guy in front of you and say "dus naa." Or whip out ten rupee notes. Or hold up all ten fingers.

Good, clean nerdy entertainment.

:)))

Reminds me of my school days :'D

Right? These Amreekans can't even spell "favour" correctly, what do they know?

Moving on from these plebs' opinions, how are your studies going? Did you get admission for the summer semester you were planning abroad?

Exactly! They are quite unaware of the labour, even if of the mental variety, involved in making use of proper Inglees..

Drowning in course work and now, finals - as always. How about you?

I never applied for it. I guess I'm gonna stick around and do another summer sesh - so I can have minimum course load for the next year. Then I can be an azaad panchi for a few weeks, before getting a Masters.

Thanks 96NotOut.

Your posts are very damn cool. And your craze for Junaid was funny as hell. :))

Still you remember you and cricket083 (am I right) throwing a mini tantrum when Junaid got engaged.. :)))

Also our gang on the Mamoon's love thread will never be forgotten (Mamoon, me, you, Blinding light, battler, Donal Cozzie, Dhoni183 and a few others who used to chip in). :))

Just because you disagree wit he most of times doesn't you I don't like you.

Yes, I have been exasperated with our discussions at times (maybe because we constantly argue for long :)) ) but overall, I always respect you and your views which are based on honesty and fairness.

Forgot to mention another fellow Indian in the list - IndianWillow too.

I agree with him most of the times but not always but he is a damn good poster with some killer insights.

Indian Willow - Dude...if you don't mind answering (feel free not to)....are you the Mallu dude with starting with M? ;-)
Buffet too (half or quarter Indian or whatever :)) ).

Class poster. The amount of threads he has killed with his calm rational stat based analysis is insane.

That was by far the most entertaining thread, ever! :)))

^ Don't think I know you too well, but you get a 7/10 from me anyway :)

:80:

Oh dem American Eeenglish speakers :baelish There is nothing wrong with "Hence why". I use it all the time! :P

Thanks anyway bro =)

But your comment in that other thread - "Shami kabab thunderbolts" ... :))) I know it's mean, but t'was funny as hell! XD

Lol, glad someone took it properly. But as usual, there was that one fob who deleted that message.

That was an overreaction. I could have handled it so much better, and should have. :)) It seems very funny, and just as embarrassing, if not more, in hindsight, though. :)) And yeah, 083 was the only one who shared my pain that day. :P (Is there anyone who hasn't seen my/our reaction in that thread? :))) )

Oh man, The Complexity Of Getting Married is (was) right up there in the list of PP ATG threads. :))) Kudos to Mamoon for creating it. :)) All that trouble, planning and advice, laughing at Mamoon's expense (who doesn't want a chance to laugh at him? :P) ... Complete with a happy ending. :')

Has to be the paragon of threads going off topic, too. :))

Btw, with all this talk about your avatar, let me mention, I still see you with the Goku one. :))

Is it just me or is SIF like the Cupid of this forum, any time any hint of a relationship is mentioned he's bang on the case with advice

Like Azzurri and DHONI183, SIF is a reservoir of advice. Unlike them, however, his advice is actually practical. (Dhoni's is too, sometimes. :P)

Let us not trivilialize their pain, even for the people living in the centre of the world, it is hard to spell aluminium.

No rest for the wicked?

I have been paying for neglecting to study during the last few months. It's a monastic routine of ''Eat, Pray, Study''.

Seems like you can't wait to get it over with. I assume you secretly wish to do your masters in Pakistan?

Great to hear from you.. blinding light.

Extremely good poster both in cricket and Timepass section.

When I first heard that you and 96NotOut were girls, I was shocked cos both of you exhibited tremendous knowledge about cricket. I must say that while I have seen some girls liking and following cricket, I haven't seen them exhibit intricate knowledge about it like you two.

Awesome stuff.

Your detailed thought provoking posts in the Time Pass section are equally good (if not better).

Do post more often in the cricket section if you have the time. :)

I educated them.

9.5/10

Talks sense. Hated on for no reason other than the fact that he talks sense. :)) Varies between being very nice, and being just as blunt. Patriotic (in a crazy way). And yes, he is indeed responsible for most of what I know about cricket. :D

-0.5 because he doesn't like the words dude, bro, etc.

There's a lot more which I don't feel like typing. Great poster overall. :19:

Mamoon I will give 10/10.

My favourite poster on this forum, although sometimes I disagree with his strong opinions but I feel he is the life of PakPassion. I can never ever forget that legendary thread of his here on Timepass :kohli

I educated them.

3/10 for you now.

-2 for your narcissim.
-1 for you dissing sherwanis.
-1 for having flabby arms.
-3 for that blatant lie.

:baelish

Aluminium is easy. I can't spell diarrohea correctly. That blasted red line again - there you go.

None, indeed :baelish I see you are burning in the same fire as I am, endy. Of guilt. Of rage. Despair. Agony. I wish I was more poetic about this, but I only slept 3 hours last night...

Take it as a ritual. A rites of passage, of sorts. Academic excellence and a scholarly bent of mind are absolute essentials in order to be part of the Dark Warriors of PP :batman:

I wish, but won't happen I'm afraid. Pakistan still lacks behind when it comes to graduate studies, even in institutions like LUMS. Don't know where I'm going atm, as usual :sigh:

That is one part of the british orthograph I simply refuse to accept. The ''o'' has no business being there (not unlike Firebreaker in this thread).

If it helps you, for words with greek origin, the rule is that, if the r is a the start of the word, it is always followed by an h; if the r is inside the word, it isn't followed by an h unless it is a double r.

I think you mean red lines

I know that feeling when you feel the ideas you are trying to express deserve nobler words than what you can come up with. I usually give up: sometimes, it's just not there.

That's the first secret society I have heard of which hazes its members by making them study. I guess it fits the nature of its founding parents.

You'll probably be fine as long as you don't land in the same city as Mamoon.

Congrats on reaching 50k BTW. That's gargantuesque when you think about it. I would have been OCDive to carry on posting after reaching the mark though. I guess your crusade against Bhai Corporation is more important than your obsession for neat numbers.

8.5/10 for Saqs

A very cool poster - but would like to read more from him.

Thanks bl. You need to post more often in the cricket forum to see more of my posts. Also, they should do an interview thread of the usual suspects in this thread.

Need to get into the Hall of Fame.

Iyengar is a sub sect of the Brahmin community.

Iyers being another one.

While others are there too.

Colloquially the term Iyer is used to refer to all. :)

So, you're a Brahmin? If yes, could you send three strands of your hair to our brother enkidu? I can't guarantee what he does with it is PG but it would certainly mean a lot to him.

You're already in the Hall of Fame as well as that of Infamy. I doubt there has ever been a poster on PP who generates so much passion. Maybe BlackZero got close.

The Blazer and Easa generated more passion than anyone else combined. But yeah, Mamoon is quite the divisive character.

:))

Thanks.

Why do you and EliteCynical say I am patient?

I am hardly patient. Maybe I give out that vibe (but trust me...I am not patient). One can see me get impatient many times during discussions.

I also got asked by a couple of Indians..why I am serious all the time?

I am not that too. :))

As for you.....in simple words:

1. Ability to take a brutally honest look at things no matter how bitter it is

2. Calling a spade a spade no matter who the concerned party is (I respect that a lot) - Its easy for some posters (who don't know you) to take offense if you speak something against their country but if the situation is reversed, you wouldn't waste one nanosecond to criticize your own country in the same way.

3. Extremely well reasoned arguments...one of the few posters with whom you can hold a discussion and expect them to get what you are trying to say without needing to give 10,000 clarifications....its more fun to discuss stuff with such posters even if their views are diametrically opposite to ours cos

i get the impresson youre patient because many times ive seen you try to put totally well thought out, reasoned arguments to someone who has no intention whatsoever of having a discussion let alone be open to a different ideas. and the fact that you take the format your posts and make them look presentable makes me think that only someone with a lot of patience can do that when trying to put a point across.

What kind of a thread is this. Made to massage bruised egos, congratulate people on wasting their time, main teri tareef karta hoon tu meri tareef kar...."you are a balanced poster" lol.....what does that even mean?
