Raw talent from Bangladesh: Mosaddek Hossain Saikat

I noticed this guy name in yesterday match between England Under-19s and Bangladesh Under-19s he scored 110* in that ODI match and also took 3 wickets and almost won the match for his team alone so i thought to check the stats of this 17 Year old kid and it looks good i know it's too early to say anything but it looks like we will see him in Bangaldesh team soon he looks like a batting all rounder.

He played 18 U19 ODIs averaging 46 with the bat scored a century and 4 half centuries and also got 15 wickets.

He also played 2 U19 Test matches against Lanka and scored 107 and 74 and got 2 wickets.

It's good to see some raw talent coming from Bangladesh and i also want to mention Bangladesh U19 is not a minnow team at least at U19 level they are giving tough competition to big guys...

He might be the inspiratiion that Bang nneed for better performances
 
Still only 17. Long way to go but early signs look promising.
 
Looks good. His under-19 record is miles better than Tamim, Nasir or Shakib when they were playing in the youth team.

so do i but we all know that bd doesnt have the structure to process talent at domestic level unlike pakistan. Pakistan on the other turns processed talent into garbage at times while trying to refine TTFS

Even PAkistan's domestic circuit is very crap
 
BD UN-19 Team is one of the best UN-19 team around
Good for BD Cricket
but still BD UN-19 Dont have Pure Pace bowling Talent

No there are still 6 matches to be played before final and after tomorrow Pakistan and Bangladesh will play again on 11th thn Pak and BD both will play 2 matches against Eng before final...

Don't worry, Pakistan U19 vl give his international career a kick start instantly....

Hope Bang bats 1st as v can expect him to score a hundred...otherwise if Pak bats, we'll get (as usual) scores a 150 ALL OUT :)) ..then less chance for this young bat to score 100

Poor guy only has 3 years left in him, as with every upcoming U19 player from BD they hit a wall at 20. That is why the national team is weak as compared to their U19.
 
Bright future for the kid, hopefully he can be a better batsman than Shakib and a better bowler than murali. Good to see young talents in Bangladesh. It's good for cricket and for BD that they got talent in U19 and if these young players can cash it at big stage all the cricket fans will be happy because we want to see more Shakib and Nasir Hussain type players in BD and these away tournaments like the one they are playing now will really help them to improve. I am also enjoying Nasir Hussain performances against Top teams and want to see more players like him from BD.

That sami aslam guy is also promising. The future looks bright. Lets hope these guys dont get involved in controversies like most pakistani cricketers. Sad thing for pakistan fans, imran farhat gets picked and talents are keeping the bench warm so that farhat's bottom will remain comfortable after scoring his glorious 7 from 10 balls. His FILaw just wants to keep him comfy
 
What type does he bowl?

BD desperately need a wrist spinner or seamer all-rounder.
 
Offie. But we dont need another spinner, a fm bowling allrounder would do nicely. Our youngsters are genetically short and doesnt have the fitness as they dont do gym. I wanted to be a cricketer when i was younger, being 6'2 and i did well in 2nd division cricket, though i was later forced to give it all up to concentrate on studies. Batsman struggled to play me, especially my bouncers becaused they never faced me before. The point is, if we had better pacers, the batsman from the domestics will be better of facing morkel, broad.
 
The problem with BD is that their pace bowling sucks! which is why they will most of the time flop in tests as 20 wickets is near impossible for them. Domestic structure is also rubbish and pitches don't help either. BCB is a stupid board anyway for not doing anything to rectify its problems.

It will be a great shame if Mosaddek and Taskin are not taken care off.

Since your Domestic structure is crap, you need to identify the younggsters with talent and throw them in international cricket
 
70* runs and 3 wickets for 29 runs in yesterday U19 WC match.

Try to become a late bloomer just like Misbah :)
 
Would be great for cricket if this kid becomes a star and even better for Bangladesh because if he does become a star (In Shaa Allah) he could be that force you need to inspire the next generation. Good luck to him.
 
Mosaddek Hossain - Bangladesh batsman

His first class debut was in 2013-14 season.In 2014-15 season he made 1033 runs at an average of 86.06 in 12 innings. In 2015-16 season he made 734 runs at an average of 81.55 in 10 innings.

Overall he made 1985 runs in 18 innings at an average of 70.89 with 7 hundreds.Of those 7 hundreds 3 are double ton and 5 are 150s.His highest score is 282.

He also had very good average of 77.07 in list A.

He can be very good prospect of remedy for bd's pathetic test squad and also can be shining star in ODI too...good luck to the 20 year old kid.
 
So many talented players coming from Bangladesh these days. Atleast in LOI's Bangladesh's future looks bright.
 
Litton John, Soumya Sarkar, Mustafizur Rahman and now this guy. Future looks good for Bangladesh.

Afghanistan has a better bowling attack than us. They are faster and their new leg spinner can actually spin the ball, unlike our darters and Jubair Hussein who has no control.

Without Fizz and Taskin, our bowling attack is surely inferior.
 
At least he is 10x better than our Azhar Ali for sure. This guy play according to the situation it seems where Azhar slogs

When your team is on 51/4 then what you can expect from a batsman??? Mosaddek played according to the situation and got 76 from 97 balls with 5 4s and 3 6s with strike rate of 78...he tried his best to get the team out of trouble...he did briliant job.

Why he batting so lower the order? How come Musfuqur or Sabbir bats ahead of him? Whats going on with Bds think tank?

Saikat is quite a player.

Genuine 20 years Old. Mature, Compact, Sensible batsman with a Strong Head on his shoulders and very confident. Technique is quite good and has lazy elegance in his batting.


Very handy Offspinner.



Hope he does not fall apart like few other youngsters of Bangladesh and rises to next steps of Progression & Development.

The way he was dealing with Herath exuded class...unless of course Herath is crap bowler. But he was just at ease against a spinner who is old enough to be his father.
 
He will be the SRT of Bangladesh in near future if he learn more to deal with new balls in test.

Opening?nope. He has some problem with new ball.He is actually middle order batsman. He plays 5/6 in fc. He is the best in fc at middle order.

The good thing for Ban. is that Shakib is a genuine all-rounder so they can play an extra batsman like Saikat at 7.

But now with Mushfiq giving up gloves, things might change.
 
This guy has insane FC stats, looks like a absolutely stunning talent.

Hopefully he will progress well.
