Looks like 3 relatively one sided matches for tomorrow

peshawar team has been weakened because of younis and yaser hameed exit,
also i think instead of 2 karachi and 2 lahore teams, extra players should go to either Haiderabad or abbottabad,so that they should be strong enough and that should raise the level of game.

I dont know why Muhammad Irshad is not playing from Multan side? other than Abdur Rauf, they have got a quit poor attack.

and watch out for Faisalabad wicketkeeper Mohommad Salman...gr8 player he is :D

Is younus not playing??
Hameed is the captain of abbottabad,
does anyone know why younus not playing??

Afridi 30 balls century, if he doesn't bite the ball:)

I predict that with the help of Allah Shahid Afridi will help himself to a 102* off 17 balls (17 sixes).

Asif hussain was compared to sehwag by sanjay manjraker in the first T20 tournament which was live on tensports

Faisalabad Wolves off to a great start!!
Thanks to abbottabad's 4 th over bowler (I don't know the name of) 18 in an over he bowled like 3 wides and a no ball!!!
Wolves 47/0 in 4.1 overs!!

he is playing ok, but he's no sehwag, atleast not yet!
I am getting tired of these commentators comparing new lads to world class players!! It makes them over-confident then they flop!

Please don't ask for links as pp doesn't want anyone on the forum to share links!
If u can follow it on Geo Super, then great! If not then look somewhee else for links

No I know he is no sehwag i was just telling sanjay compared him to sehwag back in 2005

Not a lot of people in stadium!
Meanwhile after 8 overs, wolves are 72 without loss

It is good because if matches were played on different venues geo super would not be able to telecast all matches

No travel costs and no time wasted in travel. The whole tournie can finish in just a week or so this way. Plus easier from a TV and audience perspective, easier logistically too, eg umpires, scorers, administrators.

Not ideal to have them all at NSK, but in the circumstances, not a bad move at all. I'm sure its been done in the past elsewhere too for T20 competitions.

Thank you, and well said :)

I think all matches are in national stadium, Karachi
maybe because they don't want to want to waste time in travel between cities,
although I think it should be spread through different cities!

Finally a wicket! Hussain caught
wolves 89/1 in 10.4

Afridi strikes with a violent delivery that forced Asif Hussain to give his wicket away. Get this man into the final playing XI of the national side immediately.

Wow, that's a great start. Who are the two openers? Hussain who?

Aah ok. So Asif Afridi takes Asif Hussain's wicket.

Asif Hussain, largely a 20/20 specialist and a pretty good one at that. Was man of the tournament in the very first domestic T20 tournament.

Hmm right but wouldn't it make sense if they held it in smaller city then. They could have had more people in. Even then it seems a lot of matches on couple of pitches. 120 potential overs/day on a day for a week..that is alot.

Hafeez gets to his 50 with a beautiful stroke through point for 2. He started off with a bang, but has been slowed down quite significantly by the spinners.

Mirza Iqbal Baig is such an annoying commentator. Can never stop himself from showing off his statistical knowledge of Pakistani cricket matches played in the past.

101 off 13 overs are the Wolves

The second 50 has taken 50 balls, whereas the first one took 28 balls. That's how much of an effect the spinners have had.

Yup will try and do my best :younis

lol I was thinking the same thing since yesterday. This guy keep showing off his irrelevant knowledge, especially when he does it while cutting off other commentator. Very annoying, indeed.

He does it on Bolein Kya Baat Hai as well. The worst of the lot is when the over finishes and the other commentator might be speaking, he'll immediately interrupt them and say the score, how many are out etc etc.

105-1 after 14 overs

WOW!! Considering they were 60 odd after 6 overs.

Hafeez plays a nothing shot that goes straight to long off and gets out. Very, very poor shot.

58 off 49 balls he made

105-2 after 14.1 overs

He's exceptionally annoying on that show - not least because he's often woefully ill-informed on anything outside Pak domestic cricket.

Loves the sound of his voice, it seems.

Just looked him up - is 30+, so I guess not much of a prospect.

I have to say, this is the first time I've seen Yasir Shah bowl and have been pretty impressed with what I've seen. Bowls with a lot of confidence, was not afraid to give the ball flight and varied his deliveries as well with plenty of googlies mixed in.

113-2 after 15 overs

Sorry for asking the question again! But does anyone know why younus khan is not in playing XI?

No and his innings today was quite unimpressive compared to what I've seen him produce in the past.

Shoaib Mohammad's commentary is also very poor, even for a guest commentator. Often he doesn't know when to speak in Urdu and when to speak in English, gets confused and just says what he wants to say in English.

I hate it when so much English is mixed in with commentary that's meant to be in Urdu.

Paddled fine to the boundary by Ali Waquas, good shot.

three 4s in an over by Ali Waqas. 126/2 in 16.

Misbah escapes, dropped by wkt keeper off yasir.

Catch dropped by the keeper off Yasir Shah's bowling. He's been extrememly unlucky thus far today has Yasir Shah.

Misbah smashes a 6 over long off. Typical Misbah stroke, down on one knee and launched straight with power.

Down the track and plays a better shot this time, hit with a straight bat over long off again for 6 by Misbah.

140-2 after 17 overs

Makes room, bowler follows him and Misbah slog sweeps it over mid wicket for 6. Again was muscled rather than timed.

I think he's more comfortable talking about and describing 'cricket' issues in English - that definitely came out from the interview we did with him too! Maybe that's what he's used to - we often have a 'preferred' language for a set topic/discussion. For instance, even though my Urdu is better than most Pakistanis, ask me to talk about my work in Urdu and I'd have difficulty in going beyond two sentences.

Misbah gets his 4th six, slogged really over wide long off for six.

155-2 after 18 overs (3rd 50 has come in 29 balls)

Misbah bowled!!! Awesome yorker, Misbah went to slog across the line, trying to get low, but was beaten all ends up.

SirRyanOfSalford said:
Standard of out fielding is pathetic. 155/2 in 18. Misbah with his usual hoi slogs.

Rhinos have been very poor in the field and their discipline with the ball. Too many extras conceded, which allowed the Wolves to get off to a flier.

I find that a bit strange, as I would think that he'd be more fluent in speaking Urdu than English and thus you'd be comfortable speaking in your first language, no matter what the conversation is.

Khurram Shehzad gone, ugly swipe and caught out at backward point off the left arm spinner

and another one bites the dust! Asif Afridi on a hattrick!

and another! 3rd wicket of the over, simply stumping...Asif Afridi cashing in big time :))

Despite these wickets, Misbah has given them an excellent score. Hameed will have to come off in the run chase.
