I'm perfectly aware. I'm not defending his decision to bring back those salty mouth-pieces but he has also done a commendable job by bringing on people like Urooj Mumtaz and Misbah. As for the idea of scrapping dept. cricket, I prefer not to comment on speculation till things are final. And even if they are considering scrapping dept. cricket, I'm sure they will have some plan in place to take care of the players financially.
Also, dept. cricket is by no means the backbone of producing FC players. Pakistan is the only country in the world that has dept. cricket. You're only saying this because Pakistan has never had a stable regional domestic structure. If anything, fewer regional teams would ensure a higher quality of cricket with matches actually carrying some meaning, something that can never happen when a bank plays a research lab. If this actually ends up happening it will be a welcome change for Pakistan cricket provided the PCB finds a way to empower the regional associations and guarantee the player's financial safety.
There is no point in preferences. Mickey has to learn to work with Mohsin. If Wahab can work with Mickey without Mickey apologizing to Wahab then surely Mickey should be able to work with Mohsin without getting an apology from Mohsin. You cannot have different set of rules for Mickey. Get out of your inferior mentality.
What Mickey said about Wahab is a fact, Yes, it could have been discussed behind close doors, but that does not make it not true. What Mohsin said about Mickey is nothing but a cheap insult which is inappropriate and disrespectful in any setting.

That's what he said about Wahab " He has not won us a game in two years," I expect players that have been around for a long time to be winning us games and setting standards. Otherwise, we will invest in younger players who have long futures. We have good youngsters around. First of all he it wasn't Mickey's decision to bring Amir, firstly PCB has done alot of work to bring Amir back, then selection committee selected him for international matches. But surely that time Mohsin didn't said any word to Najam Sethi or Shehryar Khan because he was trying to kissing ********* to get any position in PCB.

I dont blame him for being upset at such stupid remarks you hear in school playgrounds.
However I think Mohsin wont have any influence over Mickey, it's not his job and both will continue doing their own work. Mohsin should apologise though.
Mohsin seems very bitter and jealous after he was thrown out as coach. Seems as if he has been unable to move on from his life from those days. No matter how well Pak does this man always find a reason to moan about and criticise the team. He only praised a victory when he was the coach.

What words did he use 'against players'? He is one of the most vociferous with regards to defending his players, generally.
Don't know about the dressing room (wasn't aware you're privy to dressing room matters), but anyway saying something in the dressing room is not comparable to insulting someone on live television.

You can check out his clip on youtube the way he was shouting and using explicitives against Sohail Khan. We are already aware of his episode with Umar Akmal at the NCA. I certainly didn't see him defend Sarfaraz Ahmed after the first test match.
And please, being called a ghada is not really that humiliating or insulting, I get called a lot worse. If Mickey Arthur is offended, insulted, humiliated then perhaps this field is too rough for him.

You are equating apples and oranges. Saying something to a player is not the same as personally insulting someone on TV.
It is insulting when you're a public figure and someone says it about you on a TV channel in front of a massive audience. It's simply not done, and it's extremely stupid.
Anyway, Arthur didn't care about it until MHK was signed up on a committee which is supposed to oversee HIS performances and report on them, and hold meetings with HIM. THAT is the issue here.

Are you seriously going to use Umar Akmal as your defence for Mohsin Khan? It was only 6 months ago or so when he was chucked out by Qalanders under the advice given from Brendan McCullum in the PSL because he was causing problems behind the scenes once again!
Sohail Khan didn't work hard enough on his fitness and let Mickey down several times not just for Pakistan but also when he was being coached by him during his Karachi Kings playing days.
Your blind hatred of Mickey Arthur is so obvious that you're clutching at straws.

Arthur has blown the whole issue out of proportion, he can just simply resolve this with the first face to face meeting he has with Mohsin Khan.
The committee has been given authority over the management, which includes the coach. Hence, in a way, Mickey will be reporting to Mohsin. No one, in their right mind, would work under a person who has just recently called him a stupid donkey!
This is certainly not about blowing the issue out of proportion or not having a thick skin. It is basic professionalism!

Yep, it's a sign that Mani either has very poor judgment, that he's not paid close attention to Pakistani cricket over the last decade or just that he likes to favour his buddies, much like those before him. Whichever it is, the outcome isn't great for the future of Pakistani cricket.
If Mohsin drives Mickey away from the coaching job, Mani needs to sacked by Imran Khan.

The committee has no real powers, they will submit their reports, findings to the PCB Chairman and then it is up to the Chairman to do what he deems fit.

First if all i dont see what mickey has done wrong by demanding an apology from someone who publicly humilated him on national tv. Secondly i would be concerned if someone who has been personal about him in the past would be part of the committee. And most of all this is a minor issue which has been blown out of propotion. Why does PCB have to leak everything in the media? What is there a need to create a circus everytime.

I think mohsin should take back his words and possibly apologise by saying that he didnt mean it and that his actions were wrong. We have seen big ex-players like miandad and aamir sohail apologise in the past. Apologise and get over with it. If MHK can provide any productive assistance he is more than welcome but ifhe has to rant big time, then GEO SUPER is the best place for him to earn money

Look, I think Mohsin is thoroughbred motormouth - and there will be dramas aplenty, especially with Wasim Akram's own background coming into it as well. But after the boring Misbah and Arthur era, some drama may be what we need to create some spark.

Sarfraz is not a test captain material, and I thought misbah was bad. Sarfraz does not follow plans and it usually ends up being to the bowlers to do something magical. Also the pressure of being an international captain takes it toll and so the suggestion of a different captain for test is valid. Pakistan needs to look for the best interest of itself and sarfraz will be helped too as he will not have the headache of captaincy in tests and can focus on the lois.

What Mickey did is arguably worse, but I'm guessing he probably apologised for it. I don't have much sympathy for Mickey if he's happy to talk about our players like that and shift blame, especially since he made some pretty stupid errors himself.

I have actually seen people asking for the inclusion of a 34 years old cricketer who averages below 40 at a strike rate below 80 since his comeback, in the place of our new young opener imam ul haq who is settling himself in the ODI and test squad.
Imam has an average of 64 at a strike rate in the mid 80s in the ODIs, and He has a healthy number of centuries and is performing quite well too.
Even If I want to include someone, to a squad that needs almost no entry, I would add some young blood, players like Saud Shakeel or Saif Badar.
On One hand we have this kind of fans, on the other we have a bigger threat, now in the board itself: Mohsin Hasan Khan! his U turns are known to everyone now, and he has been speaking some real Garbage recently.
I would probably start a petition to remove Khan from the board, because this guy has actually some real intentions to ruin our cricket, which is already recovering from many other problems.

Why do people keep on bringing wahab into the conversation? Mickey spoke the truth about wahab and I feel he said it very politely. Ppl on this forum including me have said much worse about wahab.
Mani is a very smart dude and he's not a crook. Seriously u guys are not willing to give a chance to the only one person who was willing to go against the very strong BCCI? What's wrong with you people? You should be glad a guy like Mani is on our side.

I think Mohsin Khan is a very smart guy and has good cricket knowledge. He just needs a brain mouth filter. He should apologize to king Mickey. I want to thank Mickey again for all his efforts in helping us win the CT. Please treat the foreigner with a little respect he has sweated a lot for pak cricket. All of his meals should be free in Karachi and Lahore and we should give me free pak citizenship for life.

No Saj, the PCB should not have appointed Mohsin full stop. In no other country would someone as mentally troubled as Mohsin be made head of an all important cricket committee. The man is a waste of space and an embarrassment to Pakistan.

both him and sikander bakht have referred to Athur as a '****' and throw in some other insults.
Its no different to sarfraz really. We may not think its a big deal but just imagine white player calling our team "brownies" or "curries"
Calling someone a bewakoof gadha is not a racial slur and won't become one because you want it so.
i have no clue about the internal shenanigans of the pcb or mohsin khans ability as admin or coach but i do think pak cricket will be better served with a john wright or peter kirsten as coach rather than mickey arthur
