The ongoing row over bilateral series between India and Pakistan has taken another interesting twist with Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) board president Thilanga Sumathipala offering to host India and Pakistan to play series in their land. Recently, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has insisted that despite security threats, they are ready to send their cricket team to play a series in India. PCB chairman Shahryar Khan said on Thursday alleged that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is not ready to let the Indian team play against Pakistan even in India.

As reported by Pakistan Observer, SLC president requested Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make India-Pakistan cricket series happen in Sri Lanka as there are always issues to play in both India and Pakistan. Sumathipala requested the Hon. Prime Minister during his recent visit to Sri Lanka. “I met Mr. Narendra Modi at BMICH (Bandarnayaka Memorial International Conference Hall) and conveyed the message to him to consider playing against Pakistan,” said Sumathipala.

Showing his concern towards India-Pakistan cricketing relations, Sumathipala added, ” Not only Pakistan is suffering. India is losing when Pakistan is not playing India as much as Pakistan is losing if India is not playing them”. “I have requested Mr. Modi either to allow both play in Dubai or in Sri Lanka.”

Sumathipala then confirmed over plans of playing in Pakistan and said, “There is no immediate plan this year to play against Pakistan in Pakistan.”

If Pakistan is so desperate to play a similar offer was made before by India. They rejected. Now they will not get even peanuts.

Guys Time for Sports diplomacy.

I hope we both end proxy wars, solve Kashmir duspute Yeah " All Kashmir " and live like respectable neighbours. Lets fight the war in Sports, Economy etc.

Let's play a 3 to 5 Tests, 3 Odi's & 2 T20i series in Srilanka.

Oh please not in Monsoon Rainy Season

First either penalize India on points for all missing bilateral series matches and points awarded to Pakistan then discuss a series.

no interest in this whatsoever. Whya re we so desperate to play a nation that is hell bent on destroying our cricket?

If this happens you can expect massive crowd including Indians,Pakistanis & Sri Lankans... Ind vs Pak matches always attract massive crowds... so i really hope PCB and BCCI accept this offer.

don't think Modi government is going to allow this. For them it is a matter of playing with Pakistan, not a matter of venue apart in Pakistan, i assume. This because the Indian govt: feels that Pakistan is behind terrorism in India. From a neutral point of view I defend Indian govt: . The situation is just like 2 neighbours A & B who are having good peaceful relations with each other and cooperating with each other on a lot of matters. All of a sudden 'A' feels that 'B' has been indulged in some serious non ethical matters that are causing serious troubles for them quite a while and stops all the relations with B.And just assume that there are lots of truths in the allegations raised by A .Then personally I defend A In this matter.
Here I am not going deep into who is right or wrong in IND-PAK case but just expressing my verdict from a neutral point of view.

I don't like India's this politics and sports mixing saga. They are doing injustice to all cricket lovers around the globe.

Absolutely!

PCB should demand ICC to swap Pak and India in test rankings, cover your $60mn loss from BCCI's share and ask BCCI to send a team to tour Pak in Pak, until then PCB shouldn't budge.

Things are going to get better i heard , pakistan is going to include india in CPEC and this has the potential to bring peace in that region.
