According to India.

You can deny about LET and other groups that operate out of Pakistan. It is your choice. But India believes they are the ones that provide training to these people. They do not get their guns and logistical support on their own. Someone is doing it. We know who it is.

Why should we believe what India says?

If India has the proof that Pakistan is involved in these attacks then take it up with ICJ

You do not have to.

I and most people with ties to India believe that. Militants need support. Lots of support. They do not get it out of thin air. They also should know where the security forces are and how to fire weapons. Proper training is needed. We know who is giving them the training.

Its the trees in balakot 😄

This is a vague, hypothetical question at this moment of time. The attack has happened.

Current sentiments is unlikely to die down for months. Asia Cup will be first casuality.

BCCI can afford to take tough stance only because they can due to their financial strength.

There are already talks of cancelling Indus Water treaty. What is cricket in front of that?

Nothing will happen, Asia Cup will go ahead as planned.

What’s your XI vs Pakistan?

We also know who is training BLA. Ever seen one of their videos where they’re standing on the hills giving speeches.

The perfect English.

The high quality gear.

The guns.

I wonder where they get their funding from.

But, you don’t want to talk about that, do you?

Don't think Asia Cup will happen. Its just 3 months away.

BCCI is not PCB. IF BCCI get orders from Govt. of India, then no India vs Pak and without India, no Asia Cup.

Mohsin Naqvi will be overseeing all that mess. Goodluck to him.

I am done with Indian Cricket team and following them.. and BCCI as well.
No more cricket for me. Because I know what will happen.. It will be few days of mourning, and then few days of all talk and no action. Then there will be lovey dovey videos with Pakistan players during the Asia Cup or World cup.. and then talk of "ham saare eko i hain ji"...
Done with all these nonsense. The image of the young lady with her husbands dead body is still haunting me.
You say BCCI should boycott Pakistan, yet you can’t excuse yourself from a Pakistani forum?

The 2018 Asia Cup went ahead after the Sunjuwan Attack, where 10 people were killed by JeM.

Like i said, the broadcasters will decide what BCCI does.

2008 Mumbai was a civilan attack, pakistan players were forever banned from IPL.
2025 Pahelgam is a civilan attack, I can forsee a total boycott vs Pakistan.

If you want to still live in bubble, let it be.

I fully expect India to play Pakistan during ICC events because they love money very much. Pakistan-India generate money. :inti

I spoke to some Indian friends today on a call to discuss a project and offered my condolences on the attack. They are quite clued up and semi connected. They have said it is a red line that has been crossed and India will behind the scenes saying that if you tour Pakistan, India is not going to tour you, if you play PSL you aint ever getting a visa for India, no Pakistani will play in any league that has an Indian owner.

Now they said that behind the scenes India will be lobbying further to countries like UAE that if you give Pakistanis visas or investments you cant access our market, or to KFC Mcdonalds that if you offer more franchises to Pakistanis you must exit Indian market.

Money off you? That money is laughable in the Indian scheme of things, whereas the money in India’s cricket system in turn can buy PCB lock stock and barrel.

Some levels of delusion
You can laugh cry or do whatever you wnt. But the thing is, for BCCI playing against Pakistan was always important as it got them money. It mattered to them more than any indian life

I can’t say much in response to this outlandish post; except that may it never be deleted as an example of unthinking and unfeeling opinion.

BCCI’s stern take on IND vs PAK after Pahalgam attacks; Rajeev Shukla says ‘won’t play with Pakistan…ICC is also aware’
The Pahalgam terror attack on Tuesday has forced the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to make its stance more stronger on its long-standing stand of not playing bilateral series with Pakistan, with vice-president Rajeev Shukla stating India will continue to stay away from non-multiple team tournaments with the Men in Green.

At least 26 innocent lives were lost while several injured when militants brutally shot the Indian tourists in the picturesque town in Kashmir. This appalling violence has sent shockwaves around the world.

Speaking on the heinous incident, Rajeev Shukla condemned the incident and stated that they will continue their stance on Pakistan. "We are with the victims and we condemn it," Shukla told Sports Tak.

"Whatever our government will say Will do. We don't play with Pakistan in bilateral series because of the government stand. And we will not play with Pakistan in bilaterals going forward. But when the it comes to ICC event we play due to ICC engagement.

Meanwhile, BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia also extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. “The cricketing community is deeply shocked and anguished by the tragic loss of innocent lives in the gruesome terror attack at Pahalgam yesterday.

“On behalf of the BCCI, while condemning this ghastly and cowardly act with strongest possible words, I extend our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayers for the departed souls. In sharing their pain and grief, we stand hand in hand at this hour of tragedy,” he said.

Earlier in February, India refused to travel to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy due to security reasons. Instead, Rohit Sharma's men played all their Champions Trophy game in Dubai.

Majority of both nations want to see cricket and sports between both. Using sport to further political goals is extremism itself.

Decent folk would be calling for peace and justice in the region for all so eventually one day both can play a series in both regions of a free and United kashmir .

It is terrible what happened and we all hope justice will be done, but what has Pakistan or Pak cricket team to do with this?

The point of this thread is to discuss cricket ties only...for political stuff, we have another thread in the TPS section. You guys can go there.

Talk about the effects of these attacks on Indo-Pak cricket only...

This will likely have big consequences WRT ICC "handouts".

If there are no Ind-Pak games in ICC events, the broadcasters will want to re-negotiate their contracts in some form. Which means less $$ coming into ICC coffers. Which means less $$ to distribute among boards.

Will impact majority of the boards. In fact everyone outside of BCCI, CA, ECB.

This guy does not miss a single chance.

They Sound like Donald Trump who ended up over extending USA leverage over world and particularly China. Now he is dialling down his rhetoric. Indians think too highly of themselves but they are still 3rd world in terms of progress.

Remember India refused to stop buying Oil from Russia during Ukraine Invasion. why do this lot think rest of the world will just be on its knees because Indians are mad right now?

Its sad if cricket stops between these two great nations. Indian bowlers will not get the privilege to bowl against ATG in making Saim Ayub.

@DeadlyVenom
The situation is best explained by the example of @saimayubera . Despite his constant reminders of Pakistans poor economy, bad infrastructure and his scintillating accounts of holidays on railways in Indian Held Kashmir, he was encouraged enough by Saim Ayub to name himself after him.

Unfortunately after these events he gave us a 3 day warning of Indians planned retribution before disappearing from the forums.

If Saim's biggest fan can turn against us then there can be no hope for cricket.

According to reports - BCCI is set to instruct the ICC not to place India and Pakistan in the same group in any future ICC events.

But what about knockout stages , I mean final as semifinals can be manageable.

Ohh wait looking at Pakistan cricket team they are not going to reach in any ICC tournament final at least for next 5 year's.

:kp

Not playing with Pakistan in ICC and ACC events is not enough. As long as India plays in an ICC event it will be profitable. Then this profit gets distributed across all boards including Pakistan. So it will not be a big dent for them. If anything, PCB will be glad that their boys dont have to face humiliation on the field everytime in the hands of their arch rivals.

If BCCI really wants to hurt Pakistan, they must lobby to remove PCB from ICCs full member under the pretext of terrorism. So no more fund distribution, ICC events, ICC shares for Pakistan. And if ICC dont listen, BCCI can threaten to pull out from ICC all together which will mean ICC will go bankrupt and die. BCCI can also make a rule than any player or individual remotely connected with PSL will be banned from all IPL owner franchise teams.

These measures will really hurt Pakistan...boycot karne se kuch nehi hoga.

@Devadwal

Indus Water Treaty was a big step but this is too far now. Indians are really gunning for revenge, I can't believe they stopped PSL coverage.
After seeing the standard of PSL( poor quality) , I don't think that the many Indian fans will be watching the match and that too at a time when IPL is going on simultaneously. So Not much effect on PSL.

Many Indian posters watched it and posted on the match threads here and we enjoyed their insights. This move by Indians is like a gunshot both sides of the border. The reverberations will be felt for ages. Similar vibes to what I read after Archduke Franz Ferdinand was assasinated.

Incase of war, Saim Ayub, will be spared

PSL removed from Dream11.

Fantasy is the lifeline for smaller leagues—viewership, revenue, sponsors.

How can anyone discuss "Cricket ties" without bringing politics into it, when the reason we don't play each other is literally political?

What kind of posts do you guys expect on this thread?

"Oh Babar Azam and KL Rahul should play an off drive through the Wagah border off a 150 kph away swinging delivery to settle the relations between the two nations".

Is that "Cricket" enough for you? :facepalm

You seem like hurt? Ask PCB what they have lost.

Playing on cricketweb 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 this is free of cost lol

:kp
Not even kidding, today is the day I found out what Dream11 was. I thought it was some sports betting website.

I doubt anyone is playing PSL fantasy on Dream11 except for other Indians.

These days fantasy platform are one of the reason why Most of team play too many T20 Cricket.

This is where most of the money comes from.

Cricbuzz has stopped showing pSL on its website.

I wonder if we can ban all indian posters?

BCCI has written to ICC asking that all matches with Pakistan be erased from historic records. From now it will look like the countries have never played cricket against each other.

They have made this request for all bilateral and Champions Trophy matches, but asked that the records for the World Cup matches be retained.

Without ICC funding, PCB is screwed. BCCI and the Indian Govt will do everything in their power to wreck Pakistan, PCB and the PSL. If the PCB and the Pakistani Cricketers had not seen a recession before, they better get a harsh reality now. And the IPL franchises are already taking over T-20 leagues world wide therefore no more T-20 free lancing for Pakistani Cricketers.

I think everything will be just fine in sha Allah.

Was there no cricket before BCCI became powerful? International cricket is older than India as a nation. :inti

I have been saying this for years that BCCI and BJP are hypocrites. If you really want to boycott Pakistan, then do it across all tournaments and demand that the ICC avoid placing them in the same group. :inti

I'm sorry but what relationships were there between PCB and BCCI as it is? Two years in a row India refused to tour Pakistan despite having an opportunity to try and change everyone's minds against holding tournaments in Pakistan. This isn't new. Everyone is well aware by this point that BCCI despises Pakistan and was only playing the tournament matches out of practical necessity for the ICC TV deal. I'll give BCCI credit for this much though-if you're serious about completely burning the little that was left, then refusing to play Pakistan in ICC tournaments and blacking out PSL in India is a real start.

Curious to see if what has been said about trying to block off all ICC revenue for Pakistan will come true. As I have stated before England and Australia may have something to say about that.

Meanwhile Tendulkar is making sure during every match of Pakistan, a hockey match is scheduled so that he has something to tweet about

To be frank, I think this attack is going to be a lot bigger than cricket relations. You don't announce you're ending compliance with the Indus Waters Treaty without having some very serious plans in mind. I think Indian government is expecting a rather large response from Pakistan on this and what the response ends up being will dictate India's response. they surely have ensured that Pakistan is the bad guy with Trump and all the international leaders here.

Rather than think about Pakistan, I'd be worried for all international players in the IPL currently as their lives are under threat. Indian security cannot be trusted at this time as they're either busy gambling or sightseeing.

Pahalgam Attack fallout: Indian nationals in PSL crew ordered to leave Pakistan

In a separate development, just days after the tragic terrorist attack in Pahalgam that resulted in the deaths of 26 civilians, the live streaming platform Fancode has taken down all PSL-related content from its site.

The Pakistan Super League (PSL) faces uncertainty after the Pakistan government decided to send back Indian nationals who were part of the tournament’s broadcast crew, citing security and diplomatic concerns. This move comes after escalating cross-border tensions in the aftermath of Pahalgam terrorist attack. Pakistani terrorists are believed to be behind the killing of 26 Indian nationals, who were visiting Kashmir’s Pahalgam area.

An insider from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) revealed that a significant portion of the PSL’s production and broadcast team—comprising over two dozen individuals—are Indian citizens. Measures are now underway to find replacements for these key technical personnel, which include engineers, production leads, camera operators, and specialists in player-tracking systems, all of whom play a vital role in the seamless delivery of PSL coverage. Following a high-level meeting in Islamabad on Thursday, the National Security Council announced that all Indian nationals in Pakistan should leave the country in the next 48 hours.

U should condemn India for mixing politics with cricket. U are fueling the fire

These guys are blind nationalists. One Indian poster was even defending Indian call center scammers. ROFL. :yk

Beautiful game of cricket has been ruined by India. It is a tragedy. :inti

Considering India have a population of over 1.4-billion, I say they underachieved.

China has a similar population and China is 4-5 times ahead of India. :inti

Anyway, India should stop causing drama in cricket. Politics shouldn't mix with cricket.

Exactly. That's so stupid. The nations of both countries have a lot of respect for each other and are friends round the globe. People are busy earning their bread.. why would any non sense gut even pay attention to this
