Let's say it's a decent offer. Why would he perform at a ceremony for a sport he doesn't care about to an audience that's not his target?

I highly doubt he gives two hoots about whether he cares or not about cricket. It would just be like another concert to him.

Understandably his fanbase and the PSL's target audience don't match. But if Beiber was to perform in Dubai (which itself is a huge market - probably the largest in Asia) - it is not just the cricket fans who will be drawn but also the Arabs, other expats and the European/North American kids who reside there would also want to attend.

I can see it being a huge draw and have enormous attendance if marketed properly.

The biggest issue I see if the money that PCB is willing to offer. We are already cash strapped so not sure how much the PCB is willing to bend over for this.

His availability would be an issue but I am sure him and his manager would be tempted to perform in Dubai for such a large market.

Jesus Christ man, only you can shoehorn in Mohammad Asif and Salman Butt into a thread about who'll be performing at the PSL Opening Ceremony.

A realistic choice would be Bryan Adams since he has performed in the subcontinent various times, including Pakistan. And I remember him performing at the 2011 WC opening ceremony too.
Also, he is a million times better than Bieber, even at this age.
