Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 24th July, 2018) Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, who is presently incarcerated in Rawalpindi's Adiala jail for corruption, has reportedly agreed for another National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO).

According to media reports, the inside story of Nawaz Sharif’s secret meetings in the jail have been revealed.

Nawaz Sharif has secretly met with Punjab and KP governors in Adiala Jail. The former prime minister wants to get out of the jail at all costs.

Media reports said that Nawaz Sharif is ready for another NRO. He wants to come out of jail and leave the country.

In case of a deal, Nawaz Sharif has assured that he will leave the country after coming out of the jail.

Reports said that Nawaz Sharif is upset over Shehbaz Sharif and other senior party leadership not being able to reach Lahore Airport and wants to come out of the jail in any case.

He is therefore ready for an NRO.

Earlier, a medical board of pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) on Monday examined the central leader Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) Nawaz Sharif at Adiala Jail.

According to an official of the hospital, the patient will be re-examined by the same medical board after the results of investigation.

The board members advised the patient to continue previous medication and that the patient needs fluids, re-hydration and comfortable environment.

They observed that follow up of medication may be closely monitored by personal physician. The board also examined the reports of blood tests while some further blood tests and echocardiography will be conducted on Tuesday.

Nawaz Sharif has just said that he would like to leave the country and will not return. He has asked for a deal.

More to follow.

This is very clever from Nawaz. As currently no party is in power and he knows if PTI wins then there is no NRO so he wants a deal TODAY as tomorrow there might be no deal.

I think Nawaz has kept this very late in the day and this has lingered on too much. He must admit that he was wrong in coming back to Pakistan and is now regretting that decision.

Can't believe he is that dumb to ask for it befre 25th to further den his vote? But well it might be true inse machar aur patle gadae wale bed berdasht nae hote :yk

In which capacity 2 governors met him and tried to keep the meeting secret?

This is big news, how is this going to effect the elections? Perhaps a few PML-N supporters simply won't turn up to vote?

Is it fair to let him go out of the country and live as a free Man if he has done corruption?

Half of the PML-N TV ad campaign was based on how Nawaz Sharif is in jail, and "came to Pakistan for the Pakistani people". Him asking for an NRO kills that narrative, I really wonder what sort of effect it has.

Whatever the case, they should not let him go. He deserves to serve his sentence, and there are also several pending cases against him.

Incredibly naive person. Misguided by his own brother to return back so he could benefit from it. I can't believe he was a three time prime minister, I wonder what his IQ level would be. Going by his actions it wouldn't be much more than his jahil followers. We should all be ashamed of ourselves that such a person (along with Zardari) were prime ministers of our country.

Abb to Sharam karloo Pakistanioo.

I thought Mamoon said he was brave?

He isn’t brave, his daughter is. He returned to Pakistan as a parental sacrifice. He knows his career is over, but Maryam returning to Pakistan was very important for the future of her political career.

All over the news channels now so I guess it has some weight to it.

Ufffffffffff bechari nai apnay supporters ki Baja dy

If its true then how will PMLN supporters defend badshah salamat now? The so called brave leader was suppose to bring an end to our slavery from the evil estb. lol. I feel so sorry for his supporters who he keeps fooling and tricking, even they are confused as what to say and what not.

Was there any doubt this coward wouldn't try to run when he face his first major hurdle?

No doubt our urdu point, arif bhatti and the ary team are paragons of journalistic integrity.

Just like Geo News who just came up with this breakign news ke Nawaz Sharif ne bahir se elaj kerwaane se inkar kerdya and jail main he elaaj hoga.

Could someone pls explain what a NRO is?

Pakistani politics in the 90s was very dirty. All parties would mud sling and register politically motivated cases against each other. Murder, embezzlement, rape, insider trading, everything they could think of. Musharraf recognized that to move forward, the politicians should not be burdened with these fake cases and cleared them of this criminal record with an ordinance. The National Reconciliation Ordinance, it was later also ratified by the National Assembly and Senate.

However, as the differences between the Judiciary led by Iftikhar Ch. and Musharraf grew, several acts of his government were stalled. The NRO suffered along with PIA, Steel Mills privatization.

Nah i don't trust GEO or Ary with blindly. ARY is too soft for PPP, PTI and Malik Riaz but Geo is also not any better with aqal e qul like Talat and Shahzeb acting as maalshiay of Sharif family.

So why didnt these "democrats" get together in 2008 and setup a proper investigation agency which would investigate without bias; a bit like the South African truth and reconciliation commission. Is it too much to ask our elected reps not too murder, rape and loot. You know that most of the allegations were actually true as the Panama revelations showed with the Sharifs, or the sale of Rockingham showed with BB and AZ.

Mamoon how about now? The Quaid wants out.

Coming to your mention of Maryam Nawaz, what makes you think she will stick it out? She is no leader, I don't understand how we can keep supporting family-based politics. This is not the way to go, why doesn't this happen in developed countries. Senior leaders in the party should also get a chance.

So does this mean he knew there is no chance of winning the appeal?
I suppose if he couldn't put up a defense in the initial case so what chance of him putting up a defense now?

If these reports are true then PMLN supporters, your corrupt murderous leader has abandoned you!

Do you think Establishment will agree?

Lol..never..they have found something so devastating against him that they ensured they did not interfere in the verdict. Contrary to popular belief he has actually been protected by the establishment especially in the last election. He was always their man. Then they caught Yadhav and if you look at the trajectory of NS army ties they go considerably downhill after the canary started singing. He is not coming back.

If the PMLN win the election he may get a reprieve but he is finished..

What is the basis of this news, ARY, Really, why nobody else is reporting it?? Fake News propaganda by EST Mouth Piece

Maryam has already proven a lot of people wrong. Her coming back to Pakistan and refusing to be shifted to a jail with better facilities was not part of the script.

Her resilience and defiance has agitated and frustrated a lot of people, who are very eager for her to break down so that they can criticize her for being a coward, but so far, she has managed to deny them that opportunity.

I don’t believe in family politics, but Maryam will gain a lot of momentum after going through this ordeal. She will play the “I went to jail for my people instead of running away like Musharraf” card at every opportunity in the future, and she will get a lot of support for it.

She is smarter than her father, uncle and cousin, and has made the right moves under pressure. I don’t see anyone else heading the party in the future, and I think she will be PM one day.

It’s all pointless if Pakistan can’t recover it’s money from these crooks. What’s the point of NRO? Basically admitting I stole and looted from the nation and now you can just kick me out of the country so I can go live the rest of my life in luxury with that money in some foreign country?

How pathetic is that? NO.. big NO. Rot in jail you ****!!! I really hope people like him and Nawaid himself die a long painful humiliating death, and history remembers them with nothing but hatred and the coming generations spit on their graves

His world is collapsing. NRO might dent PMLn but it's life insurance for Sharifs.
There is a reason why courts are not disclosing corruptions of Sharifs. If they disclose the evidences, they admit that 3 times PM of a nuclear state was having business network involving , directly or indirectly, banned terrorist organisations.

Add India. Also add secret meetings in Israel Embassy UK and people in Pakistan will literally eat Sharif alive.
Establishment is still safe guarding sharifs.

Come on bro, she's been inside for a couple of weeks. If she remains in this jail for 2/3 years, her bravery will be soon be a thing of the past. At present this brave face is a face begging for sympathy from the Pakistani public hoping for them to vote her party in so they can finance a deal to bring her out of jail. If she is truly brave she will want to complete her sentence and within this time admit her guilt.

On Topic, looks like Nawaz has been sold out by his brother. He thought he'd come back to Pakistan, be greeted by his brother and then moved into Sihala house until his party wins the election, appeals set him free and the looting would continue. Now he has reaslied his brother stabbed him the back and he will stay in the jail for many years to come. The brave leader is crying and demoralised, begging for freedom by wanting to leave his land forever. He's no Nelson Mandela.

Please do not send him to England, we dont want him here.

If part of any deal is he is willing to give back billions of £ he has accumulated, Pakistan could use this money to improve the nation. If he wont hand over the money, he can complete his sentence.

True i also heard there is a lot of sensitive details that cant hurt Pakistan big time so it's being ignored.

Great post. Already NS is getting "illnesses" and the betrayal by the brother must be really galling- no honour amongst theives.

If brother deserted him, why can't his companions. But Noora being Noora won't be deciphering it untill after the damage.

The arrogance of these people is extraordinary! To think they can just waltz back to Pakistan as martyrs, spend a few weeks in jail and then walk out with their party in power as heros! Even Dr Evil from Austin Powers wouldn't be so stupid.

Nawaz Shrief Ka Ho Na Ho, Generals Kay Aisay connection Zaroor Haan. Did we all forget the Episode of AQ Khan, Entire Establishment of Army made AQ Khan escape goat to cover up Army's internal working with no so popular people in the world...Blaming one guy(who happened to be treated like God for last 3 decades), for everything went south, is the easy escape. I am not sure if most of Pakistanis buy that, but when Army does anything with the greater good of national in mind, we all swallow it as necessary pill to keep the Country in high steam :yk2

Well I would fully back PTI to win elections in that case if Pakistan's most popular celebrity is supporting PTI... this could be the game changer.

When you are in contract with state, you shouldn't be doing this.
And PTI actually went on to tweet this.
Unethical.

Marriyum slams 'shameful' fake news of Nawaz entering into a 'deal'

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) leader Maryam Aurangzeb on Tuesday rejected "shameful" fake news reported by certain media outlets implying that the party chief Nawaz Sharif had struck a 'deal', a day before the general election in the country.

The former state minister called the fake news reported by certain media outlets against Nawaz Sharif were an attempt to influence results of July 25 polls.

"Nawaz refused to go to the hospital despite going through health issues," the PML-N spokesperson noted, saying that it was "shameful" to accuse the former premier of entering into a 'deal'.

Regretting propaganda against the PML-N supremo, she demanded the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to take notice of the campaign against the party chief after the end of electioneering.

"We categorically reject all negative media reports including the one regarding any deal,” Marriyum said.

She said the motive behind these fake news was to perplex her party's voters.

"Nawaz Sharif is in prison for the sake of respect of the vote of people," the PML-N spokesperson said.

She said that a historic decision would come for giving respect to the vote on July 25.

The former premier and his daughter, who were convicted in the Avenfield properties reference, were arrested upon their arrival in Lahore on July 13 and subsequently taken to the Central Jail in Adiala, Rawalpindi. They have since been there.

Nawaz was sentenced to a total of 11 years in prison and slapped a £8 million fine (Rs1.3 billion) while Maryam was sentenced to eight years with a £2 million fine (Rs335 million).

Moreover, Maryam's husband, Capt (retd) Safdar, was sentenced to one year in prison.

Yes that is a possibility, but the fact is that she is already shown more resilience than what PTI supporters thought. A lot of the were under the impression that she will pull a Musharraf and not return, and if she does, she won’t last a day in a regular jail.

She has proved those people wrong so far, which has clearly frustrated them.

She has proved those people wrong so far, which has clearly frustrated them.

It's propaganda to gain the sympathy vote not resilience.

Has she shown any remorse for her crime and has accepted her guilt or does she feel she is innocent?

Of course it is a political move, and that is why I said that she is playing her cards right. However, whatever her motive is, she is going through this ordeal with defiance.

At least you accept that she is guilty of hiding assets and forged documents. Here i was thinking that you wont even accept her guilt, or maybe i am wrong and you believe she is innocent.

Marriyum Aurangzeb is the last person I would believe. She loves spewing lies for the Shariff family.

In denial.

I think this describes PTI supporters better, who cannot to terms with the fact that Maryam so far has shown a lot more guts than they think she had. Again, indeed it is for her political career, but that doesn't make her sufferings in jail any easier.

She has more cojones than Commando Musharraf. That much is clear.

I have never denied the corruption of the Sharif family, but I also insist that this isn't about corruption, which is why many corrupt people are walking around scot-free. This is a power struggle between establishment and anti-establishment, and I would support anyone who opposes military interference in politics, and that includes the Sharifs who were once in the pockets of the GHQ.

whos marryam aurangzaib ? since when sharif family is answerable to marryam aurangzaib ? only fools will believe that they will tell everyone about their secret deals.

Boy, you have not got one good reason to categorise Maryam as a 'Leader' and somehow you are bringing her jail term as a reason to support a leader?

She is nothing without her surname, and you are accepting a surname as your leader. Sorry, to break this news to you but the rest of Pakistan has advanced from stone age you are living in. You are alone in your world which is why it is hard for you to accept reality. Reality is she is crook which is why she is in jail. Period.

And specifically on Maryam, did she hide assets and did she forge documents. Yes or no

I will answer if you explain why Imran has been running from his foreign funding and embezzlement case, and why it is still pending. It has been 4 years now, why is he still running?

I am not sure how much you have spent following the cases that ran simultaneously with Panama( the chances are that you spent the time hiding behind the Sofa to avoid hearing about the criminality of the Sharifs)but IK spent a year in court and he provided all the receipts and came out clean. If this case you keep diverting to was important, i am sure Maryam, Talal and Powdri would have had him on a skewer.
This poor attempt at diversion makes you look even more sillier and stupid than you already look.
You did this with Rana the Qatil thread and as always, you ran with your tail between your legs, you did the same with the 400crore stolen Shabaz and the best you could do with that was it was an allegation and you didnt want to comment, although you are quite happy to comment on other allegations such as the saplings or the PK hospital allegation, which again you ran from.
So once again, do you think that your leader is guilty of hiding assets and forgery.

I am pretty sure that this guy is trolling, brother. His posts are just ridiculous, and if he truly believes what he says then I laugh at the people refer to him as intelligent. He is definitely articulate, but this doesn't always equate to intelligence.

I still think he is trolling though. Every single one of his views is contrary to popular opinion on this forum. He is simply trolling and seeking attention.
