[REPORTS] Pakistani SSG crossing over LoC and infiltrating posts

I've heard that there's an shelling on wagah border and an upscale suburb of Lahore, this doesn't sound good.

I'm in sialkot and some people from my area are saying that tanks are being transported to somewhere.
This is escalating really fast.

India started it. Now they have to suffer the consequences.

Alright Modi,

You wanted this, you got it.

Congrats Bhakths, your wet dream has come true, start marching to the border.

As if news channels weren't enough now we have to sort through fake news from random twitter accounts from both sides.

Whatever may be happening, these twitter sources are only good for spreading panic.

Indian soldiers across the LOC are no match for the SSG. They have been training for such a situation their whole careers. If this is true, you will hear of many Indian soldiers being killed.

Thank you!

These people seem credible (even though it's a Pakistani source) and many are reporting the same thing.

This could get really nasty for India, I don't think the infantry grunts are ready for these guys :O

Hope its just LOc as it has been happening there. But outside LOC will be serious thing.

There have been 100s of ceasefire violations across the LOC in the last 5-10 years alone.

But yes, if it's the international border then it's all out war.

Well, whatever is really happening, Twitter is ablaze.

Claims of the Sialkot sector escalating into a big conflict with heavy casualties on both sides.

This is the first from a verified account:

This was posted in the main thread 30 mins ago, there are tanks are on the border :(

A military war meaning Pak losing POK within a month....take it from me.

Not possible because of how mountainous the terrain is, even more than IoK, however India can go all out roll over the Punjab border cause of no natural defenses but they won't be able to subdue a gurreila uprising of 110+ million Punjabis

I am in srinagar. Mobile internet has been snapped. I can hear fighter jets flying since last couple of hours.

I am looking from a financial perspective. I heard after todays attack, markets took a heavy dent in Pakistan much more than sensex. With a full fleged war, Pak economy will face worse consequences than what Britain faced post WWII. Pakistan wont be able to sustain a week of war and will surrender.

Take it from me Pak wont go for full war. Imran Khan is a smart guy...he understands it. But yes, there may be few cross border firings.

Thanks a lot
Were they not flying prior to 2 hours ago?

Prior to two hours there was very little movement. About an hour ago there was extremely heavy movement (going by noise coming from the sky) and now there is little movement again. As we speak, i can't hear the jets anymore.

You are so deluded you have no idea.

I will ask you this - If the Indian Kashmiris hate your guts and you need 600,000 Indian soldiers just to keep that area heavily fortified how many do you think India will need to keep Pakistani Kashmir occupied ?

And even if India did secure Pakistan Kashmir they would sacrifice tens of thousands. And then there would be insurgency that would cost thousands more Indian troops in the years to come.

This is a nice Indian Bollywood dream you may have witnessed but it’s never happening.

I don't think anything has happened in Sialkot, but trust Twitter to go off like a train.

Hmmm....and I don't know if you are an aviation guy, but any chance you could identify the type of aircraft they were?

Mig-21 / Mig-27 / Mig-29 / Mirage 2000 / Su-30MKI / Jaguar ?

"I am in contact with PAF pilots who are full of passion & rage to attack the Indians...but the rules of engagement is holding them back...many times they lock their missiles on to Indian jets & then lock off...both sides are flying very hostile CAPs in very close proximity."

Hard to say if this guy is just trying to stir things up.

Probs due to Zaid Hamid tweeting about it

And he sounds like a trademark know-it-all who is likely just hankering for airtime:

People in Sialkot have been reporting loud bangs from tge LOC area over the last hour or 2 so something is happening, not sure exactly what it is though

Irrespective time to back Indian forces now, hopefully everyone has a plan

Only the BBC URDU guy can identify planes based on sounds produced :))

I really can't. I have no clue really. but if i have to guess, it might be Mirage 2000 because i heard the same sounds yesterday evening.

How is the morale there in Srinagar?

Who are these people? Amidst the chatter on Twitter every now and then there is a guy from Sialkot proper who claims that everything is normal and this is fake news.

How is this unprovoked..

Now we have a baffoon sitting in WH who is probably inflaming the situation further rather than calming it.

He could be from the city, not the district which would be larger.

Its 2 o'clock and its a working day tomorrow but i just can't sleep.I am so worried. What if this escalates into a full fledged war God forbid. Both countries are nuckear powers.

Stay safe guys. And pray hard. The civilians and soldiers have to pay for the hot headedness of the Govts. And Modi is the sort of person who will only stir more fire.May Allah keep us all safe and sound and our soldiers too.
