Bhai waisey bhi pyaar se rehna chahiye hai in these difficult times.

Already bohat tension hai sabko :))

Having been through various seasons of PPCL.

I do agree with MG that previous seasons had more banter, rivalries and controversy.

But this season has had its own charm despite having much less active members. It’s been fun and more about friendly banter rather than ‘phacharney wala banter’. Which is nice as you want to release tension rather than getting tension :))

Don't think banter and rivalries would give anyone tension? Did you get tension from that? :danish

Also, it was all friendly banter in good spirit, otherwise majority of the old gang weren't still good friends.

MG everyone missed the rivalries but most teams had maximum 2-3 active members and others were MIA after signup subjected to their commitments. Banter works better in a crowded environment.
Lesser number of active players in this season meant banter will shape up into One-vs-One which is a very Delicate line to tread upon.

This coming from the guy who's trailing us 4-2 in the actual league lol. So much for "BeTteR TeAm oN pApEr" :))

Khisyani billi khamba nochay.

Nochtay raho. Results matter, opinions don't :kp

Last time I checked you finished below us in FC's as well as in ODI's. T20 tamasha cricket main bhi ro ro k reham ki appeals kar kar k qualify karne pe uchalna dekho :lol

Aur tum chaat te raho :troll

Itna chaat chaat k bhi kuch haath na aanay pe dukh to bohat hua hoga? :sree

Yet you finished below us in FC, didn't qualify in ODIs, ended up with same points as us in T20s only to go through based on NRR and because we did another favour to you by beating the Hawks in Round 10.

Doob marne ka mukaam :))

Not really but I mean that more divide and conquer kind of thing and things get senti - not everyone likes that kind of banter.

Here it’s more sort of a family feel.

Anyone who was part of PPCL glory days would concur this season is probably the most boring one. PPCL used to be really exciting back in the day because there were hardly any boot polishiye but obviously you're clueless as ever

Disagree.

Obviously it's nowhere near the original PPCL where we literally had 50+ active members, especially Hawks and Cats who literally had 10+ active members each.

But still, we've definitely had worse seasons. For example the one where all of VF got banned and they had filler players e.g. Dude_At_Number_Four batting at 4 for them :)))

There have been other seasons too where I played as a player and didn't even show up more than once because of how boring it was.

This one though has been a pretty special and memorable one because it kept us busy during Covid, and also because most members are new and have adapted pretty quickly.

Yes, banter was something else back then but as someone said above, entire teams were involved. Here it becomes 1 v 1 and targeting anyone, especially someone in their rookie season can be more discouraging then you think.

At the end of the day it's a simmed league for some fun and everyone has fun in their own way. Just relax and enjoy the last couple of days before this all ends altogether.

Shoutout to Batman jeetu and all the members from each team for making this a very memorable season IMO.

2 batting heavy teams chasing in the finals.

Is anyone really surprised?

Well for you guys I was surprised because batting first on normal seems to be the way to go in T20s, same way chasing is the way to go in ODIs.

So surprised by yours as well as CA's decision here. Of course, that doesn't mean both of you can't win.

Hopefully both Hawks and PB can pull it off here :afridi

Simmed an interesting final. Players losing nerve in spectacular fashion.

I was part of the very first sim league here also (clearly with a differ username for which I forgot the details hence why made a new account!) and have to admit we're compraing apples with oranges... as you say one had full teams with active players and here it is one or two per team at best.

From a simmer's perspective old days were more fun but also pain too. 8 teams with 150+ player database wasn't easy to manage. But the biggest pain was sim software. Sim use to crash often and bugs were legendary. The most annoying bug happened in test matches. After few wickets sim liked the batting team so much that wickets stopped falling and i was getting 500+ partnership. The other classic bug had 50+ wides in a T20 game alone.

had to use "players" otherwise it would ruin all fun. 3 bowlers losing nerves is less likely vs 4 batsmen loosing nerves. Let's see if it happened in first innings or second ?
