Lot of hue and cry over England winning but it’s been the case all through out with World Cup winning teams ending up on right side of luck
Following are the incidents that I could think of
1) 1992 World Cup Pakistan scrapping through to a point after bowled out for 87
2) 1992 dropped catch of Imran in the final ! (Unconvincing would have been not out in today’s ultra edge ) Ian bothams caught behind being given by umpire
3)1996 Sachin loosing sight of the ball and getting run out in World Cup semifinal (more to do with his mistake that allowed srilanka to come into the game )
4)1999 South Africa vs Australia gibs dropping Steven Waugh in trying to do an early celebration which proved costly since aus won the match and then with super over being tie (no ball overlooked on the last ball )
4) 2003 pontings plumb LBW being turned down (could have made the match even steven)
5)2011 Sachin being dropped 4 times
6) 2019 England getting 4 over throw runs
7)2007 t20 imran Nazirs run out when pak was in control of t20 final
8)2019 World Cup semifinal ,Dhoni’s run out
