Russia invades Ukraine

Look at all these European leaders panicking, they now realise the reality Russia has consolidated most of the territory they have gained and it's never going to be a part of Ukraine again. The sanctions have hurt Europe more than Russia and now that Putin has declared partial mobilisation they can be flexible with the next goal.

The west did this, they prevented negotiations in Istanbul earlier this year. Now Russia will definitely take more land.

Nobody is panicking... All it does is further weaken Russia.

Putin's an idiot

300000 dads army

These are reserves and forced conscripts basically farmers ,bakers and mechanics will be sent to the frontlines

If putin wants to win this war its time he hires the Syrians, hezbollah , shia militias , taliban and n korean troops since they are all professional battle hardened fighters who know how to maneuvere on the battlefield and fight they can be led by the chechens these russian European slavs simply don't have the stomach to fight in ukraine and most probably don't want to fight and kill their slavic christian kin that's why they keep abandoning their positions and surrendering and running away.

Putin's an idiot

Unless putin is eliminated within I don't thinks he's bluffing

If ukraine troops enter deep into donbas and cross into crimea I'm afraid putin will use massive ordinance bombs and tactical nukes on ukraine.
Because for putin that is russia In particular crimea there's no way putin will accept crimea being taken away

No need to panic. These partial mobilised reservists are mainly pensioners, and cadets who maybe did three months of service when they were teenagers.

The winter is coming on.

I think UKR has little to fear.

Unless Putin goes thermobaric.....

Ukrainian troops can't even get past the first line of defence near kherson and you think they can reach crimea?

Unlike Kharkiv and Izyum which were abandoned and handed over without a fight, the Russians have done serious numbers, equipment and value in Donbas and Crimea.

President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday ordered Russia's first mobilisation since World War Two, warning the West that if it continued what he called its "nuclear blackmail" that Moscow would respond with the might of all its vast arsenal.

"If the territorial integrity of our country is threatened, we will use all available means to protect our people - this is not a bluff," Putin said in a televised address to the nation, adding Russia had "lots of weapons to reply".

Russia's defence minister said the partial mobilisation will see 300,000 reserves called and up would apply to those with previous military experience.

Putin's partial mobilisation significantly escalates the conflict over Ukraine and comes as Russia battles a Ukrainian counter-offensive that has forced its troops to retreat and surrender some occupied territory.

Putin said the partial military mobilisation of its 2 million-strong military reserves was to defend Russia and its territories, claiming the West did not want peace in Ukraine.

Putin's speech was a worrying escalation and the threats he made in it must be taken seriously, British foreign office minister Gillian Keegan told Sky News.

"Clearly it's something that we should take very seriously because, you know, we're not in control - I'm not sure he's in control either, really. This is obviously an escalation," she said.

Russia's rouble fell and global oil prices surged after Putin's comments. The war has already caused a spike in fuel and food prices around the world.

'Liberate Ukraine'

Putin restated his aim was to "liberate" east Ukraine's Donbas industrial heartland region and that most people in the region did not want to return to what he called the "yoke" of Ukraine.

Russia already considers Luhansk and Donetsk, which together make up the Donbas region Moscow partially occupied in 2014, to be independent states. Ukraine and the West consider all parts of Ukraine held by Russian forces to be illegally occupied.

Russia now holds about 60% of Donetsk and had captured nearly all of Luhansk by July after slow advances during months of intense fighting.

Those gains are now under threat after Russian forces were driven from neighbouring Kharkiv province this month, losing control of their main supply lines for much of the Donetsk and Luhansk front lines.

Ahead of Putin's speech, in an apparently coordinated move on Tuesday, Moscow-installed leaders in occupied areas of four Ukrainian regions announced plans to hold referendums on joining Russia in coming days.

they could have held referendums in these proxy territories without a war and likely swayed the result their own way.

my guess would be that russia wants to stand pat for the winter, and then relaunch an offensive in the early spring, the reservists are likely to be used as defensive soldiers within the occupied territories. the nuclear sabre is rattled to allow it time to regroup.

putin likely wants to reorganise his military, given their gross incompetence over the previous six months. putin has rolled the dice, and china is the only influence which can force him to de-escalate, however with Russia getting absorbed deeper into China's sphere of influence China has much to gain from a drawn-out conflict.

Have you had your eyes closed for the last 8 years? The Ukranians are shelling the Russians, harassing them and trying to root them out. You think would have allowed a referendum to happen?

It's almost like the majority of people in this thread think Putin just woke up on Feb 24 this year and decided to start this operating because he felt like it.

Russia and Ukraine will both have to pretty much stand put because of the mud, so we're looking at no major moves for a while. However the Russians have fuel and food in a abundance. Can't say the same about Ukraine and Europe. All European countries are having to implement desperate measure to try and get through the winter, the best they can hope for a mild one.

The dads army reservists and forced conscripts won't able to handle the ukranian winter their not proper soldiers .

I feared that if donbas was not liberated by winter russia would be screwed.

It's pretty obvious the vast majority of the Russian units that are slavic have no stomach for this fight.

Russians best troops are the chechens and asiatic mongol types alongwith their special forces and wagner pmc.

They should have started drafting In foreigners straight away into the wagner pmc and under the chechen kadyrov units fighters from iran iraq Lebanon Syria yemen Afghanistan Libya , Africa and n Korea they would not have had this problem

They came into this war half assed and held back with shock and awe they didn't hold back in Afghanistan, Syria , Mali and chechenya there they used massive ordanance , chemical weapons barrel bombs in.afghanistan and chechenya they even used ballistic missiles in grozny they hit buildings with scud missiles.

Maybe they are distressed they don't want to kill fellow Christian slavs .

Well if that was the case they should not have gone to war and if they insisted use the groups drafted in above because they wouldn't care about slavs and Christians.

Sounds reasonable. Probably true.

a referendum in an active war is a joke regardless, so the actual referendum doesn't matter, its just a tick box exercise to try to project that there is some semblance of a process.

you cant honestly have believed this is a real referendum, the kind which take months to organise and ensure are fair?

Putin has been on the back foot from almost the start of the conflict. The apologists on this thread claim it's "deliberate" but I'm not sure why a nation would deliberately take this approach.

This is now where things can take a serious turn as he is backed into a corner. The West have nothing to lose, Ukraine is a sacrificial pawn.

Putin really only has two options - expend major force in Ukraine which the West will secretly want him to do or try to draw Western Powers into the conflict then force through some sort of de-escalation to save face.

The frontline Russian troops already are poorly trained and unmotivated and are losing.

Adding 300,000 reservists weakens Russia by adding troops who are even worse-trained, less fit and who didn’t volunteer to fight.

Biden won’t be able to believe his luck.

Yep, the war within Ukraine was going on since 2014. Russia had been showing restrain for 8 years of not getting directly involved. But the Nazi Government of Zelensky kept on oppressing and bombing people of DPR and LPR. Thankfully Russian had the Army strength to respond in fitting manner and liberate the oppressed Russian in Ukraine. The last nail in coffin for Zelensky was his efforts to join NATO.

Its unfortunate for Kashmiri people that they can't hold referendum due to stronger rivals on the opposite side and Pakistan Army is not capable enough of liberating them due to very strong Indian military strength. And other superpowers have no interest in solving this issue nor do anything for oppressed Palestine people.

The US president says Russia has "shamelessly violated the core tenets" of the United Nations charter with its "brutal, needless war" in Ukraine.

Delivering a forceful condemnation of Russia's invasion to the international body, Joe Biden said reports of abuses against civilians in Ukraine "should make your blood run cold".

He also said President Vladimir Putin's new nuclear threats against Europe showed "reckless disregard" for his nation's responsibilities as a signatory of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.

"A nuclear war cannot be won and must never be fought," he added.

"We will stand in solidarity against Russia's aggression. Period."

Mr Biden said no one had threatened Russia, despite its claims to the contrary, and that only Russia had sought conflict.

Spot on.

NATO has been on the backfoot since economic sanctions backfired, and cost of energy went through the roof. Adding to this Russia and BRICS+ initiative, which India and China have signed up to.

So scared are the West that you now have NATO bots and liberal warmongering folk hoping Putin has cancer and is in his last year - they must be bricking it even though they claim Putin is running scared.

Putin should park his nukes in Ukraine once the referendums are over. Give these western governments and NATO a taste of their own medicine.

I don’t think anyone is coming out of this looking particularly great to be honest.

lol. Americans couldnt defeat the Taliban.

If Ukraine is Nato it would mean your American troops will have no choice but to enter Ukraine, along with other Nato members. Are you willing to be nuked in the long run because of watching CNN and realising there is a country called Ukraine somewhere in Europe? Are you willing to join the army and fight in Ukraine?

Genius move by Putin. Now he can use much more power to defend what will be part of the Russian federation. Any weapons used in the south supplied by Nato/West will mean they are now at war with Russia.

Putin realises winter is coming, its already snowing in some parts of Europe. Ukraine will run out of energy. Europe has no energy to provide them, while Russia has an abundance.

Its looking like a rout of huge proportions is coming towards the Ukrainians and their Nazi mates.

Hundreds of arrests at anti-mobilisation protests in several Russian cities.

Hundreds of arrests at anti-mobilisation protests in several Russian cities.

Let me guess according to the BBC/CNN.

Russians were in uproar when Russia conceded the northern territory, their parliament insisted this law was to be passed.

Putin has a higher approval rating than Biden and the blonde bimbo PM of UK. Russians believe its not just Ukraine but also the US/West fighting them. They want Putin to be more aggressive, so he will happily will.

The key was the sanctions, the people of Russia now realise they are living a better standard of life than before the sanctions so will support a more aggressive approach from now on.

The winter for Ukranian Nazis will not be much fun, some will literally freeze to death while out fighting.

Europeans need to stand up to the Yanks to end this with a peace deal because Yanks dont care for Ukranians(civilians) . Those poor people are suffering and will suffer more in winter, all for a proxy war by Yanks so they could sell more weapons and more gas. Truss is a key puppet for Yanks too.

Putin is bluffing with the nuclear threat, because he has no faith in the Dad’s Army reservists he's calling up to die under Ukrainian guns.

He’s trying to up the stakes so high that his opponents at home fold and he won’t be deposed.

He's on the way out. A lot of Russian conscripts will go first, though.

I suggest everyone who is a NATO bot and liberal warmonger to tune into what the Federal Reserve has just announced. In simple terms - economic pain, and US rates were raised by 0.75% a few hours ago.

Wake up you liberal folk, the Western economy is suffering as well as struggling, and the Feds are blaming Putin. Get your head out of the sand and accept reality that your JC alliance sanctions have backfired, and Putin has won the economic war. This is the only war that matters because people only care about money in their pockets.

Comparing opinion polls in democracies with those in a dictatorship is fallacious.

Europe will not appease Putin. It will be tantamount to allowing the Baltic states to be invaded too. We remember what happened last time a European leader tried to appease a despot.

Russian police are reported to have arrested hundreds of protesters rallying against the Kremlin's decision to call up thousands of extra troops to fight in Ukraine.

Russian human rights group OVD-Info put the total at more than 1,000. The largest numbers arrested were in St Petersburg and Moscow.

Dozens were held in Irkutsk and other Siberian cities, and Yekaterinburg.

Flights out of Russia sold out fast after Vladimir Putin's announcement.

Russia's president ordered a partial mobilisation, meaning some 300,000 military reservists - but not conscripts - will be drafted to bolster Russia's forces who have suffered recent battlefield reverses in Ukraine.

The move came a day after occupied areas of Ukraine announced snap referendums on joining Russia.

And in remarks condemned by Ukraine and its allies, Mr Putin stressed that he would use "all available means" to protect Russian territory - implying this could involve nuclear weapons.

Read and weep - keep in mind this the Amreekan economy and the words of Colin Powell a few moments ago - Chairman of the Federal reserve.

The “pain” Americans are likely to endure from higher U.S. interest rates is a tepid economy in 2023 and rising layoffs and unemployment, the Federal Reserve said Wednesday.

The central bank raised a key U.S. interest rate that influences the cost of borrowing for the fifth time this year. The rate hikes are meant to slow the economy enough to bring down the highest inflation in 40 years.

Putin is winning the economic war, his ‘dad’s army’, are a distraction to the real carnage upon the West - economy.

Liberals and NATO bots deserve this.

This is merely your opinion Putin is a despot. You have a senile old man who is a warmonger in Biden using Ukraine for a proxy war but he's a hero? lol

Sorry Robert, the days of fooling the world thinking UK and US governments, leaders are the good guys are long gone, its laughed at now.

Russia has turned this proxy war of the west in to suicide for the west. This will go down in history as such

I am reminded of what Liberals said - It’s a price worth paying.

Yet no NATO bot in the thread is prepared to house Ukrainian refugees, let alone pay towards the price worth paying.

Still, let them carry on thinking we are living during the times of WW2 [delusional], because sooner or later they will realise that wars of today are not fought the conventional way anymore.

By the look of things, the additional army main role will be to defend the territories where referendum will take place.

Indeed, Biden has a long history of being a warmonger.

When liberals in the UK will never condemn or call for Bush or Blair to be tried for war crimes then you know which side their bread is buttered is on. Liberals do not seek peace, but blood, the blood of those who do not subscribe to the JC alliance.

You couldn’t make this up. Dizzy Lizzy was the one who went public and declared UK citizens should fight against Russia, then Russia captures these mercenaries, and now a country with one of the worst human rights records mediates in saving the life of said UK mercenaries.

Human rights are out the window when it comes to saving grace. The. Again, UK send weapons to Saudis to bomb Yemen.

Lizzy knew if they were executed shown on TV her words would come back to haunt her. I wonder when they return if they will be arrested as those who went to Syria etc.

I wonder what the Saudis got out of this? Imo Saudis were just happy Lizzy helped their oil giant friends by giving them more tax breaks.

Not opinion. He is a despot. The elections are rigged, and anyone who criticised him disappears.

Biden never started a war, and indeed spoke out repeatedly again the invasion of Iraq.

It’s extraordinary that you would side with the man who actually did start this war. It’s quixotic. It’s like claiming that the Sun rises in the West.

USA/UK *are* the good guys this time. Not every time. But this time. And I am proud that we are helping a democracy stay alive.

Correct.

Russia invaded Ukraine.

Russia’s self-appointed role as Protector of Ethnic Russians is unlawful.

Russia has forfeited almost all its rights in terms of Ukraine.

Russia’s only remaining rights in Ukraine are-

1. The right to surrender.
2. The obligation to pay reparations for every damaged road and building in Ukraine.

That’s it for Russia. They have no other rights.

And they certainly don’t have the right to invade bits of their neighbour, ethnically cleanse those areas, and then pole their remaining supporters.

Mind you, after Putin’s nuclear blackmail yesterday “Give me the areas of Ukraine I want, and if I’m driven out of Crimea or Donbas I’ll nuke you”, there should be no further negotiation or dealing with Russia under Putin.

I would immediately proceed to full-scale military strikes across Russia now after Putin’s speech threatening nuclear terror yesterday.

Putin is wrongly viewed by some as a master strategist, when the reality is that he is a brainless little bully who has extorted the international community because he inherited some badly maintained nukes.

He’s gone too far now. It’s time to get rid of Putin and to dismantle Russia’s empire.

Zelenskyy demands 'just punishment' for Russia
Volodymyr Zelenskyy has demanded "just punishment" for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine during an address to the UN General Assembly tonight.

The Ukrainian premier called for Vladimir Putin to be held to account for "the catastrophic turbulence Russia provoked with its illegal war", including the torture, humiliation and murders of thousands of people.

Addressing the summit in Manhattan, New York, remotely from Kyiv, Zelenskyy described the war as a "crime committed against the values that make you and me a community of the United Nations", adding: "Ukraine demands punishment for trying to steal our territory".

"There is only one entity among all UN member states who would say now, if he could interrupt my speech, that he is happy with the war, with his war," Zelenskyy said.

"We will not let this entity prevail over us, even though it is the largest state in the world.

"We shouldn't turn a blind eye to propagandists who justify aggression but apply a full package of restrictions against them.

"We didn’t provoke this war but we had no choice but to defend ourselves.

"We must protect life. The world must protect life."

What do you consider proof? No free and fair elections, any dissent suppressed with murder or detention without trial. Have a read on what happened to poor Magnitsky as an example.

If NATO forces trained Ukraine troops after Putin’s invasion in 2014, they did the right thing to help a democracy repel a despot.

I don’t understand how you can frame invasion of another sovereign state as “defending borders”.

Why didn't NATO also help Ukraine by working to remove Nazi ideology from the country? Why didn't NATO help Ukraine by working to remove American biolabs from their territory. Why didn't they help Ukraine by asking them to meet their end of the Minsk Accords?

The sovereign state you keep referring too, went to bed with the west turning their back on a huge portion of their civilians. They got what was coming their way.

It should be a lesson to any nation, any people in the world, getting involved with the west, especially America will just bring you ruin, if not immediately or in the coming years, then a decade or two down the line.

Plus which, Kaliningrad is bristling with nukes that can hit any point in Western Europe.

Given how the neighbouring countries have behaved these last few months towards Russia, Kaliningrad will only end up being more armed. Lithuania for example had the genius idea to try and cut off Kaliningrad, it was only a couple of other larger European nations who talked them out of such a stupid move.

Looks like a lot of Russians are leaving Russia on the first flight possible out. Have a look at FR24!

Why wasn't FR24 covering the Ukranians when they were leaving to avoid war? Russians leaving to avoid being called up is exactly the same that Ukranians were doing, but only the Russians make the news. Basically MSM calling Russians cowards when they do it, but ignore Ukranians when they do it.

It could be argued that the Ukrainian Nazis (<1% of the army) only gelled into a unit when Putin invaded in 2014. Why don’t you ask the same question of Putin’s reprehensible Wagner Group, who profess the same ideology and are responsible for numerous atrocities?

In a democracy the whole goes with the majority vote. That’s how, to my great sense of loss, aUK got pulled out of EU.

Looks like you didn't check properly at the time. Of course FR24 covered it. It can track any aircraft that has its ADS-B transponder turned on.

Flights out of Russia were nearly fully booked after President Vladimir Putin said the country will mobilise reservists to fight in Ukraine. Direct flights to cities in nearby countries of Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan were all sold out for Wednesday, the Aviasales website, popular in Russia, showed. Turkish Airlines said on its website that flights to Istanbul, which has become an important travel hub to and from Russia, were fully booked until Saturday. Mr Putin made the announcement in a televised address.

Several news outlets and journalists said on Twitter that Russian airlines have stopped selling tickets to Russian men between 18 and 65 (the fighting age) amid fears that a martial law could be imposed.

Fortune said in a report that only those young men who have approval from Russia's Ministry of Defence will be allowed to leave the country.

There is also a possibility that referenda will be held in the provinces of Luhansk and Donetsk later this week to give Mr Putin an opportunity to officially annex those parts of Ukraine and make it official Russian territory, the outlet further said.

After Mr Putin's address on Wednesday, Russia's Defence Minister Sergey Shoigu claimed that 300,000 men could be called up to serve.

Russia's "special military operation", which has been going on for more than six months, has led to the loss of life of thousands and displaced millions. But Mr Putin is refusing to stop, even accusing the West of "blackmail and intimidation".

There are reports that Russia, in a desperate move, is trying to recruit convicts to joins its war in Ukraine. The recruitments are being done by Yevgeny Prigozhin the head of mercenary outfit known as the Wagner Group, according to The Guardian.

All prisoners have been promised a presidential pardon after six months and a salary of 100,000 rubles (1,400 pounds) a month, the outlet further said.

The Daily Beast said that the new recruits include serial killers "at least one cannibal".

No need to panic. These partial mobilised reservists are mainly pensioners, and cadets who maybe did three months of service when they were teenagers.

The winter is coming on.

I think UKR has little to fear.

Unless Putin goes thermobaric.....

Well at this point, there has to be concern that he might. For the west, this is a proxy war, the cost is mainly financial. For Russia, it is existential. They are seeing NATO on their doorstep, having lost so many lives by treading lightly, you have to think the temptation will be to go all in and unleash the big guns. Especially as they know Ukraine is being armed by the west.

spitting image at its finest.

What’s more interesting is that NATO bots and ZMSM were claiming that 2 of these UK mercenaries were living in Ukraine at the time, seems like they are fleeing Ukraine now for the UK!

Good question on what Saudis get out of this, maybe more UK weapons to bomb Yemen!?

NATO member states have been on Russia's doorstep for thousands of miles and five decades already, and more miles since the Baltic states joined EU for prosperity and NATO for protection against Putin. Just as Putin has been on the EU's doorstep for twenty years.

As a result of this war, Finland and Sweden are joining too, so that's another 900 miles of NATO front for Putin to worry about.

This is about one man seeing UKR as part of Russia, nothing else.

Amreeka's capitalist imperialism sees Europe as part of the Amreekan global Empire, and thus parked missiles and weapons of their own to goad Russia.

I wait in awe for the day Liberal warmongering NATO apologists make a point without it being hypocritical because as it stands, these folk justify Western aggression as long as the aggressors are White and subscribe to Judeo-Christianity - in essence - the very definition of Racism.

Exactly. Putin just wants to recreate the glory days of the Soviet Union- nothing more, nothing else. Nato was always on Russia’s doorstep- Poland a full Nato country shares its borders with Russia. And it is not impossible for Germany to launch nukes on Russia without crossing any territory.

Nato was just an excuse by Putin to annex Ukraine. And I reiterate, Nato should just call his nuke bluff and grant immediate membership to Ukraine, Finland & Sweden. Unnecessary dragging their feet on this issue.

I tend to see things through a British lens, so for me Russia and the Ukraine seems a long way away, I would imagine it is even further for Americans. Poland and Ukraine are on the Russian doorstep, but they don't run NATO, the US do, and we play some lesser role. It looks like imperialism through the back door to me.

It's imperialism to help democracies defend themselves against a despot? Seriously?

Social media video from Russia's land borders with several countries shows long lines of traffic trying to leave the country on the day after President Vladimir Putin announced a "partial mobilization."

There were queues at border crossings into Kazakhstan, Georgia and Mongolia. One video showed dozens of vehicles lining up at the Zemo Larsi/Verkhny Lars checkpoint on the Georgia-Russia border overnight Wednesday. That line appears to have grown longer Thursday. One video showed a long queue stretching into the mountains behind the crossing, with a man commenting that it was five to six kilometers long.

Another posted Thursday showed long lines at the Khaykhta crossing into Mongolia.

One man spoke over video recorded at the Troitsk crossing into Kazakhstan, where dozens of cars were lined up Thursday morning. "This is Troitsk, queues of trucks and passenger vehicles ... you can't see the start or the end of this queue ... everyone, everyone is fleeing Russia, all sorts."

A senior Kazakh official, Maulen Ashimbaev, had said Kazakhstan could not restrict the entry of Russian citizens into the country, Russian state news agency RIA Novosti reported earlier Thursday. But Ashimbaev, the speaker of the upper house of the Kazakh parliament, said that in order to obtain a residence permit, applicants must have a set of documents that comply with the law.

It is difficult to compare the current flow of traffic to the average in the absence of official data.

Flights from Russia to countries that do not require visas continue to be very busy and frequently sold out. A search on the Aviasales website showed there were no seats available on Moscow-Istanbul one-way economy flights until Sunday — with the lowest price almost $2,900.

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov on Thursday dismissed reports of airports crowded with people trying to leave Russia following the announcement, calling it "exaggeration" and "fake news."

Do you really believe nations that operate under Capitalist principles are prepared to put their own citizens under financial duress for a country halfway across the world unless they are going to get something back at the end of it? I was reading this morning that we are planning to make Russia pay reparations when the war ends, and to me that just means Russia will go to any lengths to make sure they don't lose. It's a scary proposition.

Seems like I was very wrong 2 days ago. My usually reliable sources said mobilisation would include 40k regular army and over 100k reservists. Both the the regular and reservists could be way over that.

I'm going to hold back on giving numbers for now because all sides are inconsistent on this.

Bottom line is that Russia finally realised that 200k was not enough manpower to hold a 1000km front line.

A despot is someone who is cruel oppressor of his/her people. When Putin came into office, Russians were very very poor reeling from the collapse of the SU, eating soup out of bowls. He has not only transformed the life of the people but made Russia a major world power in every aspect.

Now the BBC are making up stories of Russians leaving in droves, when Putin has a huge approval rating. A despot isnt loved so much.

Nato forces trained Nazis for a Proxy war. Im sure you'd be fine with Russia helping say the New IRA who also want their land back.

Because I know history, those lands are historically Russian. If Russia supported Mexico in wanting to get back California, arming and training their soldiers, you'd support America blowing up Mexico to bits. You also ignored my point on Falklands.

When you give others the same principles you hold, then argue, otherwise its hypocritical in every post.

Are you Wolf Blitzer or Anderson Cooper?

Let me ask if Russia in future were to train, equip, finance and inspire Mexico to take back Cali, your senile President would stand by?

Ukraine's foreign minister: Russian diplomats are 'complicit'

In his address to the UN Security Council, Ukraine's foreign minister said Russian diplomats are "complicit" and play a part in "covering up" their country's crimes.

His speech came after his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov left the meeting after his own address.

Dmytro Kuleba continued: "Many of you may listen to me right now and will have one question in mind, 'is there a chance for peace?'. Will Ukraine negotiate with Russia to end this war?'

"I want to be crystal clear, no other nation in the world craves peace more than Ukraine. We have never wanted this war and never chose it, we simply want to live normal lives."

He added that Russia is "shameless" and must prioritise peace over war.

More than 10,000 Russian reservists have turned up to enlist - report
In the first 24 hours since Russia ordered a partial mobilisation, Russian news agencies are reporting 10,000 reservists have turned up to enlist.

Russian news agency RIA said they are all volunteers who did not wait for the call-up papers and arrived at military enlistment offices.

Vladimir Putin has announced that 300,000 reservists will be sent to Ukraine to support the conflict there.

Ukraine has recently made significant gains in northern areas previously captured by Russia, angering the Kremlin.

Boris Johnson thanks Putin for his 'inspirational leadership' ... instead of Zelensky

Former PM's slip-up came during his first major contribution as a backbench MP in a Commons debate.

Boris Johnson inadvertently thanked Russia's Vladimir Putin for his "inspirational leadership" instead of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Try geography first then come back with your NATO not involved lies. NATO is arming and funding Ukraine. It's called a PROXY war.

As for attacking NATO members, Afghanistan never attacked a NATO member but you lot decided to wage war in Afghanistan.

How anyone can take you seriously is beyond me.

NATO nations are welcome to support Ukraine with any weapons they please.

Ukraine has been invaded, and has had large tracts of its stolen territory unlawfully annexed by its invading neighbour.

It is not "escalation" to help a friendly nation to defend itself against invasion.

lol. Ill have to find the video, this is hilarious. It may well be, Biden could learn 1-10 from Putin, wont remember anything else.

Meanwhile Zelensky will be in the US for a talk to weapons manufactures and defence contractors. Must be inspirational for Biden to help out his bosses, whose profits are more important than Ukrainian blood.

That is a False Comparison and you know it.

Russia has invaded Russian-speaking areas of Ukraine, ethnically cleansed those areas of the majority of the population which wants to remain Ukrainian, commits war crimes in the occupied areas and then holds Sham Referenda in which only its own supporters get a vote. And then it annexes the stolen lands.

There are two examples which would be the exact equivalent of what Russia is doing:

1. If Mexico invaded California, Arizona and Texas, ethnically cleansed it of English speakers and of Spanish speakers who wish it to be American, then held a poll of its own supporters and on that basis annexed California and Texas.

2. If India invaded Sindh and Punjab, ethnically cleansed it of Muslims, then held a referendum in which Hindu residents voted for India to "reunite" with Sindh and Punjab.

That is what Russia is doing. And anyone who supports and helps the victims is doing a good thing, not a bad thing.

So in response Russia is also entitled to self defence against Nato nations?

1.Which areas have Russia ethnically cleansed? Please be specific with evidence.

Only one question as your points are based on it.

The whole of Donbas - using their own Sham Referendum statistics from 2014, the population which was still in Donbas had fallen by 75% in Donetsk Oblast and by 78% in Luhansk Oblast.

So their own Sham Referenda are actually a signed confession of Ethnic Cleansing.
