I’ve always thought that at some point he will lose face and credibility, then there will be a power struggle to replace him - sic semper tyrannus. I think that this is why he was not driven out by the west after the Crimea invasion and after his troops shot down the Malaysian Airlines 777.

But I think that Biden has always been stronger on foreign policy than Obama and is not impressed by tinpot dictators like Trump is.

The problem is that Putin was not satisfied by getting Crimea and parts of Georgia. And he is willing to play Nuclear Chicken to get what he feels like taking.

I share your concerns, but I think that the solution is to disarm Russia. This war is working beautifully in getting them to degrade their own conventional weapon capability, but the world will only be safe from Russian nuclear blackmail if/when they forfeit their nuclear weapons.

Ukraine's richest mineral deposits worth at least $12.4 trillion are now in the hands of Russia, writes The Washington Post.

We are talking about 63% of all coal deposits, 11% of its oil, 20% of gas, 42% of metals and 33% of rare earth elements. Since February, the Russians have seized deposits of titanium, zirconium, lithium, strontium, uranium and gold. And that's not counting agricultural land.

“Ukraine has found 117 of the 120 most widely used metals and minerals,” the American newspaper writes. “If the Kremlin succeeds in annexing the captured territory — and US officials believe it will try to do so in the coming months — then Kyiv will forever lose access to almost two-thirds of their fields."

However, the fate of the Ukrainians is of little concern to the newspaper: it worries about Europe. It will now be harder for the continent to seek alternatives to imports from Russia and China.

“Ukraine will not only lose most of its territory and resources, but will also be constantly vulnerable to a new onslaught of Russia,” WP quotes the opinion of Jacob Kierkegaard, a research fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics in Washington. “No private company in their right mind will invest in the rest part of Ukraine if it turns into a frozen conflict."

In recent weeks, Indian steelmakers and cement manufacturers have purchased Russian coal using the UAE dirham, the Hong Kong dollar, the Chinese yuan and the euro, customs documents reviewed by the agency show.

A White mans life to them is far more valuable, even though they are Nazis. Japan Asks Mitsui, Mitsubishi To Stay On In Crucial Sakhalin-2 Russian Project

The Japanese industry ministry has asked Mitsui and Mitsubishi to "think positively" about their participation in the Russian Sakhalin-2 oil and gas project after the Russian government announced it would boost state ownership.

Reuters reports that industry minister Koichi Hagiuda today asked the two companies, which are minority shareholders in Sakhalin-2, to consider staying on, saying he was due to discuss the matter with a Mitsubishi executive in the coming days.

I don’t think I’m being rude or harsh when I say you’re ignorant on this topic. The Balfour treaty for example is a basic fact that is deliberately not taught in schools because it paints the British, Americans and especially Jewish Zionists in a bad light.
