inzi's looks to be moving well here ( kiss of death?)

still liable for in teh in-ducker tho

Here's yet another attempt at making it look possible for Pakistan.

22 overs, PAK 48/4

In the next 16 overs, if they score 4.5 rpo, that gives 72 runs, and puts PAK at 120 in 38 overs. Hopefully, we haven't lost any more wickets.

From that point, we can score another 100 runs, and bring it to 220. Unfortunately that seems, at the time, the most we can manage. Clearly not easy to defend this total, but, at least, we can have a fighting chance.

220 would be a winning total unless the conditions change.

I dont really understand what are we aiming at here...
There is no chance that Pakistan is gona make a game out of this by scoring less than 200.

man this game is so friken unpredictable....one day you wake up in morning and your team is blazing away at over 7 runs/ over.....the next day you find that the same team vs the same bowlers is struggling to even score at 2 runs/over!!

Pakistan and Australia are almost in same position today. Aus need 247 to win and are 50/4. And if Pak gets to 240-250 its sure is a match-winning score...

why not? maybe the pitch is really tough for batting!

yea but they haven't played out so many overs!

Is the weather supposed to be overcast like this for the whole day??

If yes then we can defend 200 score as we have 4 seamers that can do a good job too. Weather has to help us though

How can Pakistan get 240-250 without Afridi?

Razzaq is way better than Afridi. He can get us there.

With our luck, its going to be bright sunshine when SA come out to bat !

This batting reminds me one the famous Sidhu's comments. he said once "Indian batting at the moment is like an envelope without an address and it goes no where"

When has Razzaq got a 40 ball century? He wont score at a strike rate of slightly more than 100 unless these two bat until the 40th over and the score is 130+.

Pakistan: 56/4 (26.0 Ovs)
I Haq*18(44)
S Malik4(19)

South Africa

C Langeveldt *5-1-10-0
J Kallis 3-1-6-0

Run Rate : 2.15 Current Partnership: 15(40)

Afridi would never get a 40 ball century from this situation.

Razzaq is much more consistent and can score just as fast as Afridi can on an average day.

Pak 56/4 looking like a lost cause. On the bright side, Australia are also 56/4.

Aus has a better run rate.. if they can hang around for full overs, they are possibly through.

i tell ya irrespective of whatever target we set

i just feel our bowlers namely razzaq and rana - just dont have the discipline to bowl the right line & lengths on this track i.e. the liability to drop it short

I was right about Hussey...hes useless while chasing.its a myth that Hussy's agood finisher!

If the RSA openers go after the bowling like in the other games the game will be over very quickly.

you guys shouldnt be sad, Australia is 63 for 5 vs the ENGLAND ATTACK!!!!

How was Nazir out today ? good ball or bad shot ?

target is 150+ at the moment and then hope that the pitch has same demons as it has now.

I was one the people who was praising Nazir a few days ago for his excellent knock, but if he getting out playing stupid strokes the Pakistan management need to tell him to use his brain and consistently get a quick 30-40 not a one-off 60-70.

Chaps, It's good that England are doing well, but on this thread can we pls stick to PK game !! some of us are not watching the game live, and would prefer to read updates on PK game on this thread ..

Good ball mainly- Pollock was moving it off just short of a good length both ways and he nicked an inside-edge from one that came in very quickly

i like the way england keep their main strike bowler for the 1st change

72-4 from 29 here.
Only mentioning AUS to make us feel a bit better :D

RR picked up in last few overs. If they can score around 5 for next 10/11 overs then without losing a wicket then we will be in a decent place to launch for last 10 overs

More than double as the scoring rate before was so slow. Normally it is double when the scoring rate is 4-5 an over.

sun coming out - pitch does look eaither to play - but maybe its cos teh feilding restrictions has meant teh feilds more spread

I feel that Younis & Yousuf both threw it away today- both were set and both played it rather then edged it back

It was a very good ball that he got out on !!

off topic but i tell ya how can any1 take Hall seriously with that haircut?

4 shot from inzi

A Razzaq special would do very nicely today.

Nazir actually edged a good ball and Akmal slipped in the middle of the pitch- so bowlers actually only induced one wicket
Inzi gets another lovely lofted driven 4 - 7 from the over

inzi looks set now - set for a biggie - in teh context of thsi game

lol@rameez's point abt the commentators getting paid for teh last game

that MBA coiming to the fore
