I appreciate you are a new poster but you don't need to tell me about Saad Ali. Check my post history and you will see I have been mentioning him for a while.
Bottom line is he shouldn't be picked for the wrong format. Tests will be his strength.

Dear I'm a close follower of cricket ... Do you know the story of Muhammad Ramzan, Ali Naqvi, Saeed Bin Nasir, Faisal Athar & Asim Kamal ?? .... They all potentials were the victims of PCB. Mansoor Amjad was also once a very good all rounder but was too never picked, now his cricket is finished.
See ODI is not all about sloggin / hitting. ODI is a mature format, inclusion of Saad Ali will strengthen the bench strength, as well as " if " Babar or Malik will get injured, he can be used a replacement. I'm not advocating for Saad Ali in ODIs by dropping Babar Azam or Malik.. My point that Saad Ali must be the part of 15 / 16 member squad. So when Malik got retired / injured, he can be the best replacement. and Test tour is far away in May / June 2018. So till then he will gain experience / confidence by remaining in the squad as well as he will get familiar with the future colleagues whom he has to play (insha Allah) in England tour 2018.
Yes, but in tests, Saad Ali should be preffered over Babar Azam / Haris Sohail.. But I think Haris at least showed some better performances in the previous tests tours rather than Babar Azam, who got failed completely.
