Najam Sethi is no longer the PCB Chairman. In the short stints his been chairman, man has done the work of a hundred years. It is him doing the heavy lifting all the time, whilst the others step in and take all the credit.

I don't want to get into politics here, but PML-N has a track record of picking "the right man for the right job".

I believe this is the saddest day of Pakistan cricket seeing the man who bought international cricket back to Pakistan, kickstarted the PSL and bought the first multilateral event in Pakistan to be going out like this.

I hope his detractors are happy…

Watch us lose hosting rights to 25 CT aide to Ramiz Raja and Ehsan Mani and they will be making excuses Line there is no tomorrow!

Loser mentality everywhere!

Najam Sethi is a clown.

Banned Sharjeel and failed to provide any evidence of fixing, unless I’ve been living under a rock and missed it.

Chasing Mickey Arthur like an obsessed ex.

Creating unnecessary controversy on multiple occasions because the clown can’t keep quiet. A bit like trump on twitter. One example would be where he tweeted that Afridi wanted to replace Babar as captain, just before the start of the NZ series.

Failing to host the Asia Cup at home.

Sethi’s minions can’t counter this so they’ll just mention the previous chairmans of PCB.

We are now officially back to the stone ages. I can't imagine some of the decisions Zaka Ashraf will make over the coming months.

Surely there has been worse days in Pakistan Cricket

Ikr, there are so many to choose from on the field. eg: 2010

But perhaps the OP is referring to off the field, and in his view.

2010 spot fixing day.

2007 wc loss to Ireland

2009 attack on SL team

These days were much worse than this one.

If you keep your o leader my leader shtick aside, I would agree Zaka Ashraf is a big downgrade over both Sethi, Mani, Shehryar and Ramiz.

What an overreaction to a situation we've already seen before. This is not even in the top 30 saddest days of Pakistan cricket.

Does not make any difference. HE was okeysh maan for the job but a bit better than Zaka Ashraf. Nothing big. chill.

Exactly. This hero-worshipping of pseudoleaders in our country is so over the top and embarrassing.

Najam Sethi had those people lik shail shiekhs etc around. He was no one special. was serving Nawaz and co and they spaid him back/

Sharjeel was not banned by SEthi, he was presented in the court of law and found guilty. Sethi was not the judge

I greatly admire the work he did in his previous tenure, but he has been a complete disappointing this time around.

Shamelessly lobbying for a pathetic player like Masood to not only be the team but also to be entrusted with the vice-captaincy.

Appointing an awful coach like Mickey in this ridiculous online consultancy role when he made it clear that he wasn’t interested in becoming Pakistan’s coach.

Making bullish statements against BCCI and thumping his chest only to be shown his aukaat.

Plus he didn’t solve the Rizwan issue for me

Disappointed with Sethi. Over to you Zaka

It wasn't even something I noticed until I saw this thread lol. Even if you're Sethi's biggest fan, don't know see how it can be described as 'saddest day in Pakistan cricket' - disappointing maybe at a stretch.

I understand all of that, but he has helped break the ice and has brought us 4 matches of the Asia Cup.

BCCI wanted the whole tournament shifted out of Pakistan, it's only Sethi's negotiation skills which have yielded us 4 matches.

Any of the other PCB chairman's we've had would have managed to screw the possibility of hosting any matches.

Sethi deserves appreciation for this big achievement.

While you were at it, how come you forgot to blame Imran Khan for Sethi’s ouster?

I genuinely even today still believe that that was s publicity stunt, with the worlds eyes on Pakistan and PSL .

So why was Sethi removed, when he was brought by the current regime, sorry I am very much out of the loop here, but any info be appreciated.?

Think Mickey's tenure will come to an end before he properly coaches Pak in a series in the current tenure.

Well said

It has to be 2010 England tour last test match, where amir, asif and salman was caught red handed. It was probably Ramadan in Pakistan when this news broke in the night and all the hopes of watching these two beasts again in international cricket diminished that day.
