I know I know. We have packs of Akrams, Walsh, Malcolms, Holdings, and Lees in Pakistan domestic cricket. But, this guy has some outstanding First-class stats. He's a fast bowler to look after, he has a lot of potential. Just like Shaheen Afridi, I think we can pick him up for a debut in the coming series, but he's not getting much attention from the selectors. He is in the Peshawar Zalmi squad. Need some splendid performance from him in T20s, as much as winning Sammy another trophy. Well this is him in the fine format of the game alone. Let's hope he doesn't become another Sadaf Hussain, Mir Hamza, etc.

Sameen Gul.

Average of 15.66 after 17 matches at a SR of 31.5 with economy rating of 2.97.

I don't think he has a chance right now in the Pakistan team. There is already Amir, Junaid. Shinwari and Shaheen in contention. Don't think there is a spot for one more left arm pace bowler at the moment.

In the sense that he never gets a chance?

Whilst I'd take first-class stats with a bucket of salt, he can't be any worse than Wahab Riaz. From what I've seen, he has a huge inswinger. There seems to be a feeling on this board that someone who has played international cricket must be better than someone who hasn't as the former has had their action changed (ruined) or batting methodology altered (wrecked) and probably has a coach with a better laptop and has, therefore, fewer " technical issues", a phrase often used by those who have no understanding of it. What's the harm in playing these youngsters on rotation in ODIs and T20Is? They'll learn far more that way and we'll all know whether they have what it takes or not?

Well, management is obsessed with the word "experience". Yep even if that means running the same guy as your fast bowler until he's 40 and ignoring the sh- out of hundreds of other deserving bowlers. PCB is a complete disgrace when it comes to selection.

Agreed. I suspect the PCB have, in recent times, been selecting according to what is written on this forum as they have no idea what to do themselves. I'd be prepared to bet that a number of posters on here are past or present players, PCB officials or friends or family posting on behalf of these people. It appears this is now the lobbying board for selection.
