Sarfar Dost Mohammad Mazari was the Deputy Speaker of Punjab. He belonged to PTI and was elected on a PTI ticket for Punjab assembly, later on the same party would choose him as deputy speaker for Punjab.

PTI had expectations that Mazari would follow party line and ignore the constitution of Pakistan, yet each and every time Mazari followed the constitution even if it irked his party.

A vote of no confidence was just passed against him and was removed due to a PTI and PMLQ combined majority.

How will he be remembered? He played by the book, and only followed what the Constitution had mentioned or what the Court ordered.

Do you think, Mazari was made the scapegoat of Umar Bandial's misinterpretation of the constitution which he would try to correct during the Shujaat fiasco?

A fraud, corrupt, sell-out who would betray the country for cash.

Absolute vermin is what he is.

Supreme Court already ruled his ruling was illegal. He refused to appear in front of the Supreme Court to defend himself. He will rightfully be viewed as a disgraced lotta.

So what Mazari did was constitutional but what Qasim Suri did was unconstitutional that's by your own account. You really flip flop and have no moral standing do you? How can you with a straight face make this thread unless however you are trolling us.

His name reeks of everything that is wrong with Pakistan and will be for a long time. 'sardar' meaning he is an offspring of a wadera and some influential family. He will enjoy his luxurous life and his children will take the helm after him. Lol if anyone thinks these people care about legacy or constitution.

lol @ trying to make this lota sound like some honest loyal PTI guy who was just trying to uphold the constitution. He purposely withheld Shujaat Hussain's letter until the last moment so he could disqualify Q's 10 votes. During the voting for new Punjab speaker today he was surrounded by noon league raising his hand and chanting slogans. He will be remembered like the rest of the lotas - kicked out & forgotten with galiyan of the country on the way out.

The Awaam has already rejected all the lotas in the By election. Mazari is not going to win any seat again in his life in an honest election. Hopefully the ends met by these lotas will serve as a deterant to come.

no deputy speaker of pakistan has ever been needed to stand infront of supreme court, thus, there was no need for him to go. Lawyer represented him which was legal

before making allegations of me flip flopping or trolling its better to read a newspaper to understand the whole political scenario.

Qasim Suri is a traitor and thats a discussion for another thread.

When Supreme court decided to deseat 25 mpas that voted for Hamza Shebaz, the judge misinterpreted the constitution, a by-election than took place only because of one major mistake of the supreme court judge.

Zardari than took advantage of this and got the party head to issue a letter to the deputy speaker. Interestingly, the 18th amendment article 63A supports what Mazari said.

Umar Bandial made a mistake earlier and to correct that mistake he change the verdict for this and altering the constitution. If you read Umar Bandials full verdict, he has even mentioned that the court shouldn't be held responsible for earlier mistakes :)

This is why PDM wanted a full bench with Justice Isa being there as it was a constitutional crises and needed all the top judges of the supreme court to give their interpretation of the constitution.

Mazari's case and Qasim Suri case are way different than you think

he didnt withhold it. He contacted his lawyer confirmed it with Shujaat and his son. He just didnt place it in a file cover because of the staff known for meddling with the papers. He got the letter when he was in his office

Just so you know, he is from Baluchistan and has a whole tribe that backs him. Even if he doesnt win a seat from Punjab, he will always win a seat from Balochistan no matter what...

PA DEPUTY SPEAKER DOST MAZARI LOSES NO-TRUST VOTE

LAHORE: Punjab Assembly Deputy Speaker Dost Muhammad Mazari has lost the no-trust vote today, ARY News reported on Friday.

Voting began in the Punjab Assembly on a no-trust motion against the PA deputy speaker Dost Muhammad Mazari through secret ballot after PTI’s Sibtain Khan was elected as the new speaker of the House.

The PA lawmakers voted on the no-trust motion against the deputy speaker Dost Muhammad Mazari. The government lawmakers required 186 votes for the ouster of the PA deputy speaker Mazari.

PA lawmakers cast 186 votes in the favour of removing the deputy speaker Mazari from the position.

As voting began at the PA, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) lawmaker Dr Yasmin Rashid cast the first vote on the no-confidence motion, whereas, Iftikhar Gilani cast the second vote from the ruling party.

On July 28, the Punjab Assembly (PA) has passed a no-trust motion against Deputy Speaker Dost Muhammad Mazari following the chief minister’s (CM) election.

Parliamentary Leader in the Provincial Assembly Raja Bisharat had submitted no-confidence motion against Dost Muhammad Mazari, which was passed by the House’s majority.

Following this, Waseem Khan – a member Panel of Chair who was presiding over the session – adjourned it till tomorrow. The voting on the motion of no confidence against the Punjab Assembly Deputy Speaker had been scheduled to be held today.

PTI Chairman Imran Khan and other party leaders had criticised Dost Mazari for his ruling, which deprived Pervez Elahi of becoming the chief minister after he rejected 10 votes from the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q).

However, later the Supreme Court (SC) declared Mazari’s ruling null and void and instated the Imran Khan-backed candidate, Pervaiz Elahi, as the chief minister.
