You can always trust Major to turn a Sarfraz retirement thread into an opportunity for Misbah cheerleading. One of his many targeted campaigns.

Deep down his die hard fans are insecure, truth hurts him, low for him in a retirement thread as well

Sarfraz winning the CT is greater than anything Misbah achieved which Sarfraz was also responsible for, such as his great feat of drawing series in the UAE

Misbah whitewashed a red hot #1 England in the UAE and drew 1-1 against them in England.

Its always funny seeing people critisize misbahs test captaincy and give its credit to sarfraz aswell when sarfraz was the one who ended up ending pakistans winning streak in uae in test

He didn’t do anything special with his captaincy, even you would have known to exploit those conditions with prime Ajmal & Rehman who deserve the bulk of the credit really. With the 1-1 draw, Sarfraz had arguably his best series with the gloves & we only drew that largely thanks to the freakish knock of Younis Khan, if he hit form earlier, Pakistan could have won, but Misbah had Younis & rain during India/WI to thank for the no.1 ranking; thank you Misbah though for your special efforts.

great servant and great bloke. CT 2017 definitely a crowning moment for his. Got the best out of younger guys and built at gun T20I team. Should have been allowed to carry on till 2021 WC for T20Is a Captain.
In continuation.. even though we have lost 2 finals to him but he always brought out best of the Pakistan players. A true competitor.

So he didnt do anything special, yet when sarfraz became captain of the test team, he lost the test series in UAE and ended Pakistans undefeated record.

Misbah was undefeated, while Sarfraz lost in his first tour.

But hey, what Misbah did wasnt special...

He really should’ve been captain after misbah in 2015 WC. He was at the peak of his batting (classic waqar younis kept him out for a few matches in 2015 WC also) instead misbah preferred his precious azhar Ali.

This is where they these seniors again played favourites.

from 2015 to 2020 sarfaraz should’ve been grooming a second in command.

This isn’t the first time you’ve tried to misrepresent things on this forum. You have maintained that Misbah was better than Inzamam in ODIs and during the 2022 T20 World Cup you insisted that Babar and Rizwan were not only superior to Suryakumar Yadav in T20Is, but the best in the format simply because they were ranked No. 1 and No. 2 on what was clearly a flawed ICC list. All of this shows why your credibility is non-existent. Your entire cricketing contribution on PP revolves around pushing this Misbah-centric propaganda.

Misbah would have lost multiple series in UAE if he didn't have the chucking services of Saeed Ajmal (and Hafeez) and without Younis Khan, who was undoubtedly an ATG player of spin bowling. Also, Misbah had Abdul Rehman who was by the far the best left arm spinner in red ball cricket played in UAE.

If Misbah is so good and so much better than Sarfraz, please explain the stark contrast in fortune between these two tournaments:

2013 CT
Host
: England
With Misbah as captain
Outcome: Lost all matches including a game against India.

2017 CT
Host
: England
Without Misbah as captain
Outcome: Brought the CT home after beating India in the final by 180 runs
