Sarfraz Ahmed's inability to finish an innings

Completely ruined the tempo of the innings. What is the point of this guy coming in with 5 fielders outside the ring in the final power play. Sometimes looks awful when trying to hit pacers. Ive always maintained that he will mess up the innings when we are n a good position. Terrible knock today
 
its been quite poor, i have always though he was better at 4 but hard to displace malik now

overall lower middle order is still an isssue.

It would be unfair to drop rizwan, but its telling that imad was sent over him today
 
Just whacked Alzarri Joseph for a few boundaries. 60 off 47 balls.

Not bad for someone who "can't hit".

60 of 47 is fine yaar.


If he would have got out in 20's after consuming so many balls than it would have been a problem but he fought hard and finished well.


Although WI only had one decent bowler but still Job well done.
 
wont mind him opening and taking the attack with sharjeel. Azhar has to go and with Latif/Fakhar/Umar Amin a possibility, they can bat in the middle and they can hit big...
 
60 of 47 is bad. Lol. Some people are just blinded by so much hate for the guy.
 
How can the OP justify 60 off 47 as a "terrible knock"? I'd suggest taking the biased glasses off and stop reaching to prove a failed point.

You'd be surprised . . I am sure they will be out again the next time he is out there batting! The players that the world recognizes as something special are the players we bash time and time again . .
 
Awful knock. Less than a run a ball. Really needs to improve his power hitting.
 
That one bad over from Pollrd helped his strike rate last game too
 
Awful knock today. Should only be batting if 20 or more overs are remaining.
 
Was crap today. People who want him dropped though are being silly, we won't always have a dominant Babar and won't always be facing an awful WI.

Sarfraz has his uses but it's clear he needs to make adjustments in his technique for hitting and we need a another striker or two who we can rely on
 
He was horrible today. Worst part was that he did not show an intent either to accelerate the run rate. Having said that, no one did any better. We badly need a hard hitter in the middle/bottom part of our lineup. I would play Umer Akmal instead of Rizwan.
 
He is not a finisher neither is he a slogger. Do not expect him to play like Razzaq in the last 5 overs because he will disappoint you 9 out of 10 times.
 
Today it was looking like he internationally played slowly. Who knows may be running after captaincy. Also accelerated very late in the last match also even though he has shown in England that he is quite capable.

Really????

Sarfraz is anything but a schemer. How does it help his cause when Azhar scores a century and Sarfraz fails as a batsman?
 
Sarfaraz does not have big hitting abilities. He should only be batting in the middle overs and once he gets his eye in for 10-15 overs, only then he can bat efficiently at the death but don't expect him to blaze away at the death from ball one. This is a problem with most of the batsmen in our present squad. Not a single player who can go beserk from ball one and this will hurt us big time against major teams.
 
I know I'll be labelled a hater but I'm gonna bump this anyway. Very poor knock regardless of whether Quetta win or lose. Quetta made 132 in the first 11.2 overs but only made 30 runs off the next 5. 17 from 20 balls before getting out at the end of the 19th over. Criminal stuff. He wouldn't get into a good international side. He should play ODIs for us since we have no better alternatives and he is an excellent tactician but he shouldn't be in the T20 team. This was a belter where mediocre batsmen like shehzad were hitting sixes on the up
 
This isn't the first time he's done this. This has happened many times in international and domestic cricket but his fans brush these occurences under the carpet

Are you seeing this pitch ? Nearly every ball is stopping in the pitch - even explosive batters like Malan are struggling to time the ball.
 
Match losing knock today. This was a belter where every batsman was dispatching balls outof the ground. He's just not a good LOI batsman
 
Sarfraz is certainly match ka mujrim today. 17 off 20 on this flattest of flat roads is just a joke.
