Anyway coming back to the topic f babar. He doesn't have the game to reinvent himself as a batsman.

He is definitely a hand eye player like ponting which is why he always lunges and reaches for the ball and has next to no game square of the wicket on off. He reaches for the ball most time based on instinct and doesn't play the ball late on merit. This is the biggest hall mark of a hand eye player.

Not really. I just don’t think Viv had the appetite to go back to the well. He had nothing to prove.

Sachin had a very poor mid 2000s and went back to the well because for some reason he felt he had something to prove. Why he felt so unfulfilled you’ll have to ask him.

Every batsman is different. I think Sachin only knew cricket, probably the only constant in his life. I feel sorry for him as he was in the spotlight since he was a little boy.

Some of the other players probably just wanted to enjoy life.

Probably means he's lost his coordination when he was in the 20s.

He's lunging forward because his technique is defective. A better batsman would have stopped and played on backfoot
 
Hand eye coordination players play as late as possible. They dont make a definitive foot movement forward or backwards.

Kohli isn't a hand eye coordination player

He had a decline in the last two years. I remember watching his series against India where he got an hundred and it was pretty scratchy. Only against England he looked good but that was because England was practically his home for several years

Viv declined badly in the last 3 years of his career. I'm speaking of Tests. Even Imran Khan said Viv should have retired in 1988, rather than 1991.

Same issue with Babar... He is neither on back foot nor on front foot... He gets stuck
 
Kohli is a very un indian like player in terms of his batting style. Australian pitches suited him because there isn't too much spin/sideways movement of the ball. He can play on the length of the ball. That didn't suit him in Indian conditions too much because whenever there's a spinning ball , he doesn't pick the ball from the bowler's hands. He can't read spin bowling.

There's plenty of his cricket that can be admired but his batting ability is average at best.

This is the most Misbah fanboy thing to do.

Guy was blocking the only proper bowler they had to score runs against club level bowlers Asitha and Pramod.

These manz make it so easy to defile them when business resumes as normal for the fraud king.

Babar has been useless for 3 years until yesterday

Appreciate his good day, but don’t act like his critics have been thoroughly wrong about him! It’s not a court case where he was always not guilty and has finally been freed!

Babar is the most overrated player of all time. He peaked under Mickey Arthur up until the 2019 World Cup.

His career went south after Misbah took over as coach.

Babar’s fans are either the most deluded cricket fans on the planet or they are doing this as a second job. It would not surprise me if some of them fall under the latter.

Sri Lanka team didn’t feel comfortable playing yesterday’s game. This is not an excuse but a fact.

Babar has found his level. His fans should be relieved because it was getting to the point where we were all wondering whether a 7 match series against Nepal is what it was going to take for him to return to form.

He wasn’t the same after the 2019 WC. I gave up on him after his failings in the Asia Cup and WT20 in 2022.

Babar’s career was heading in the right direction under Mickey Arthur but Misbah and his greed for captaincy ruined him.

The only reason Shaheen got booted out is because Babar stabbed him in the back.

The prime reason why Bobby is unlikeable is because of how selfish he is but something like this was bound to happen since he was mentored by Misbah when he first became captain of the side.

Who cares when the last hundred was. He's past that hurdle and will be back to his best especially now that he can play pressure free from hating critics like you and your likes. You guys tried spreading your hate filled agenda but yeh awaam andhi nahi. Instead, you've only witnessed the love Babar gets once he comes to the crease. I don’t get it with Babar- has a great technique and balance, has all the shots and timing , has no real weaknesses- I mean 1-2 chinks every batsman has but no real glaring weakness, can play spin and fast fairly well, can play defense or attack. From temparament too doesn’t seem to be an outright choker.

Never seen a batsman who looks so complete yet so limited and timid.

He has major weaknesses against spin and express pace has troubled him too.

Also, in what world does he have all the shots? When have you seen him play a hook shot?

He times the ball decently well and can punish half volleys, especially through the off side. That’s his strength.

That hundred did him the world of good. So much so that he scored a scintillating quack against the team he’s supposed to stat pad against.

Saya corps need to invest in some hasbara training. I’m actually shocked how poor these arguments are. You’d think they’d have covered all eventualities by now

Yea so delusional. For your information the last two series were played in Pakistan. Those were Pakistani fans cheering at wickets dropping so that they can support Babar. Canada ho ya Pakistan fans all over the World support him. So again how come you can't see this. What is wrong with you?

Different formats my friend. He did play a scintillating series winning fifty against South Africa in the match before this.
