It's sad to see an entire country going the extremist way and working against their own self interest. What's happening in cricket is just a small sample of what's going to happen to their country.

This is what happens when people deny reality and vote and work based on their feelings like a kid.

Their choice was between choosing devlopment through india even if they hated india and choosing extremism through Pakistan and they chose the later.

The only ones benefiting from this arrangement is Pakistan because they have a free pawn to use against India and they don't care what actually happens to Bangladesh as a country as long as they can hurt India.



This choice is going to haunt the entire country for 100s of years.

Also love the theory about PCB using BCB as a pawn.

It's made me think that we underrated how good PCB is. We are angry they can't organise a FC competition.

But our neighbours seem to believe PCB engineered a couple in Bangladesh, made India harbour criminal Hasina, degraded Bangladesh Indian relations, forced GOI to kicked out Bangladeshi players for security reasons, made GOI hide behind Shah Ruh Khan.

All to be in a position to stop Bangladesh touring India

Let's be honest if that is true then PCB has been very active recently.

Come, if Bangladesh was genuinely concerned about safety they would have raised the issue a long time ago.

Just like Pakistan did and reached an agreement to play in Sri Lanka. No one is calling Pakistan extremists for this.

And both india and pakistan are also clear it's about politics more than security, they are not making stuff up like Bangladesh.

I think the entire world can see the difference between a board being genuinely concerned for players vs a board which is just butthurt, the biggest proof is ICC themselves said that the only proof Bangladesh had of security was Fizz being dropped from IPL.

Can you confirm at which point a person or country is allowed to feel insecure about travelling?

It is like saying if Fizz was an issue why did GOI allow him in auction and allow three franchises to bid on him? What happened after that to make kicking him out only feasible.

Seems like changing of sentiments/national security priortities is only flexible one way in the eyes of Indians. It is a shame to see an educated psychologist like yourself resort to such binary thinking.

The rise in hate speech against Bangladeshis led to the BCCI asking KKR to remove Fizur from the IPL . Do you think the BCB should have expressed security concerns before these events ?

Well it's not just me. The ICC assessed it as ok too. So for you it should be reasonable to accept that same ICC report that you think is unreliable for India is now unreliable for Bangladesh.

What's funny is they keep on dragging this thread thinking it would somehow make Bangladesh come to India. :yk

They better prepare for a prolonged meltdown as Bangladesh is unlikely to go to India and there can be a lengthy legal battle at the CAS depending on how things progress.

I think BCB have a genuine case. CAS is pretty independent and clearly have authority over ICC.

BCB should escalate further and look to cause maximum nuisance for BCCICC. :inti

Most Indians seem frustrated because Bangladesh isn’t bowing to pressure to play in India.

It feels like India’s losing that old “street power” influence, and countries like Pakistan and Bangladesh aren’t intimidated the way they used to be.

They can try to use money or political pressure to get other boards on their side, but that doesn’t automatically mean everyone has to fall in line.
 
The ICC on Friday evening had sent an email to BCB informing them that since they didnt get back to world body with their official decision within 24 hr deadline, they are being "replaced".

ICC has officially replaced Bangladesh with Scotland at the ICC men's T20 World Cup 2026

Scotland will be placed in Group C alongside Italy, Nepal, West Indies and England.

Not been able to keep a track of everything that has been going on but we should support the Bangladesh team and also boycott the World Cup.

We have finally found an ally who is willing to stand up against BCCICC along with ourselves. Let's not let this opportunity go.

You gotta give credit to Bangladesh for remaining steadfast thus far.

If unfortunate events of pahalgama and Mumbai had happened in Bangladesh they would never have crossed into other countries to play cricket.

A real lesson for India who regularly sell their public dreams but also get greedy for TV rights.

If Pakistan pulls out then that news is all but confirmed.

Anyone with a brain should be shaming this. Though I disagree with ICC in this matter (double standard B's), for the sake of cricket, BD should send their team. BD public is as stupid as their government. Ruining their cricket in the name of ego battle. The monetary loss in the upcoming years will be quite big. And what happens when iCC bans Bangladesh?

My goal accomplished: didn't want Bangladeshis entering India and they won't be.

And a big thank you to Pakistanis for coming to India and not cancelling the event to support Bangladesh 🙏

Had Pakistan forfieted, India would have been in trouble but they didnt which is wonderful.

Nobody cares about the Bangladeshi kitty kats, I am so satisfied now that I don't care if India loses the world cup as hosts. I hope Pakistan wins it for their true sportsmanship to India and not forfeiting the tournament.

I disagree there is double standards. There is a huge difference between raising concerns ahead of time like Pakistan did, letting people get arrangements in time vs throwing a last minute hissy fit because a player was dropped from a private league.

I see no double standards at all..

A player being dropped becomes the issue of national prestige for an entire nation, tells you how emotionally attached Banglus are to the league despite all the denial. IPL really is something else. 😍

Impact as life goes along copy pasting scorecards but not good for the cricket community of Bangladesh . Also sympathies to the sane cricket fans of Bangladesh however less the number is.

the western teams toured Pak for CT 2025 and the argument that Western Team's Concern with security is usually higher was rejected by Indians like you.

The refused to play in India and stuck to their stance. Even though its political but we must respect for sticking to it.

However, they have not boycotted World T20. Else they would not be demanding extra time, trying to negotiate with ICC, reaching out to its dispute team etc etc. They would have simply put out a presser stating they are boycotting the tournament. However that is not the case. The presser came from ICC that Bangladesh is removed and replaced with Scotland.

They Refused to play in India and Stood by it. Did nt care about trophy or Media Rights and did nt use this as excuse to play with dushman desh
