It was 22 years ago, when Pakistan led by Wasim Akram set up a target of improbable 369 for Australia to chase down.
At 121/5 the match was over. But Langer and Gilly created history. Langer was bit lucky he got rub of the green but Aussies won comfortably in the end.
This Pindi test is heading in that direction.

Why go that far? Unless of course there have been one or two controversial decisions but I doubt that.

Old Trafford 2020 may be a more recent comparison.

The total may have been smaller but ENG had been reduced to 5/6 down with 150 or something to chase.

Relax, Pakistan has plenty of runs in the bank and this SA batting is brittle.

Australia only won for two reasons.

Firstly, Waqar twisted his ankle late on Day 4.

Secondly, they worked Saqlain out and he never troubled them with a red ball ever again.

And Langer got “lucky”.

there was a plumb lbw off a saqlain doosra that was not given which was a norm for aussie umpiring during those days. warne especially got all the benefit of doubt when bowling while reverse was the case for opposition with main opposition batsman being in crosshairs.

And what would have Waqar done if he didn't twist his ankle? The guy has a laughable record against Australia.
