Shahid Afridi - 400 sixes in international cricket!

Scoring 3 fastest hundreds from all time top 7 fastest hundreds in ODI's maybe that's look like a small thing to you also. But in ODI some how Strike Rate really matters because its not a 5 day cricket.

If batting is all about averages thn Sehwaq is a one of the worst player even after scroing 219 because after playing 251 ODI's he still have an average of 35 is that mean Raina is a better player thn sehwag with an average of 37?

Scoring runs fast does not make you a great player. Moreover I am sure more than half of sixes will not be proper cricketing shots.

A couple of more IPL seasons and Gayle will overtake him.

Afridi is tied with Gayle currently with 476 sixes combined in all formats.

Sharma has 304*. He will end up close to these 2 by the time he retires.

Oh man I remember watching that match if only he scored a hundred that day, kept on batting, he could have easily chased down 100 more runs off 15 overs. But it was a pleasure to watch him bat that day, really had me thinking we had a chance chasing down 350!

Afridi defined modern ODI with his attacking batting.

Before Gayle, it was Afridi who was the king of sixes.

Misbah Ul Haq has 190 sixes. He was a very good player of spin actually. Would've been a better player with a bit more attacking intent.

Misbah? LOL.

Sanath Jayasuriya was the one who redefined ODI batting. He was a beast from the 96 worldcup onwards.

This thread is about sixes and attacking batting. Afridi has way more sixes than Sanath despite batting in lower order for many games. Sanath was an opener.

If you want to talk about batting redefining, Tendulkar and Inzamam are way ahead of Sanath.
