Devastating news if true!

News channels reporting that he received 12 stitches on his hand and is out of the final

Has it been confirmed?

there is nothing to confirm

Hand skin is very sensitive, once it rips open, it could only get better by stitches, and while in stitches you cant use that hand.

He will obviously not play in the final. His hand ripped open, it started to bleed right on the field

will he be in the dug out though? if yes then it probably would be enough for Zalmi to win the final :afridi

man if his team ends up winning, it would be like John Terry and Champions league win by Chelsea

Just the joy for millions of pakistani to see him walk on the Khadafi stadium, to field the ball, to ball some overs.

Then his entry with the bat and finally if he hits just one six...

I am really so sad :(

Saddening news because he was hitting them so well and I'm sure the crowd would have loved to see him one last time.

I think he might, but I was thinking more about the chances of PZ reaching the final.

It's going to be tough to do it again.

Thats true. However if the final is in Karachi next year he will be able to play in his home ground. If PZ do reach the final next year it maybe bigger for him than lets say Lahore don't you think?

I feel bad for Pakistani fans in Lahore.

They would be thrilled to see Afridi walk out on the field. Especially considering the lack of foreign players an Afridi in a match in Pakistan would have to be a must. Very sad!

Blame Pollard? haha!

True, that would be bigger.

Let's see what happens next year.

Yup this final goes to Wahab and his family. Its more about him than Afridi. So I am glad Wahab gets to fulfill his dad's wish by playing the final in his home ground.

Feel really bad for Afridi. Imagine him coming out to bat or him bowling, the noise from the crowd would have been unbelievable.

Oh man!! Gut wrenching!! You gotta feel for him . . .

Such an unfortunate news. PSL final in Lahore with Afridi would have been such a charm. But you can't control some things.

As one tweet in reply to Saj's tweet said "postpone the final by 10 days" :D

For someone who has very rarely been injured throughout his career its very sad that he wont be playing this game. This could well have been his last chance for playing in front of a big crowd at home.

Doesn't matter, Afridi can be the master of ceremonies

That´s really really sad! He´s been in good form this PSL and has been a joy to watch. :(

I agree, postpone the final even by a month of necessary. :D
