Sharing Finances/Expenses with spouse

For those of you are married how do you share your finances with your spouse? Do you share bank accounts, or have separate ones?

What about expenses, do you split all of them or does one person pay some bills and the other person pays the other ones?

For those of you who are not married you can just mention how you would like to split finances and expenses.

In case your spouse and you earn about equal, you can split your expenses 50:50. You can use apps such as splitwise to track major expenses and then pay off any dues to the partner at the end of the month.

huh? Sharing account info with wife is risky?

Even my ex gf had access to all my accounts. Since i haven't changed any passwords, she can still use it if she wants.

But she never did. It is about mutual respect and trust.

Did you have access to her accounts as well? I guess if both share account info than its fair. The problem that could happen with shared accounts imo is if their is a split than the other person might **** you over. Seems you and your ex had an amicable split. Most time relationships end they are not like that tho.
