Both Malik and Professor have feasted on weak opposition and minnows.

On potential you'd back Hafeez to score more against opposition with good bowling attacks, especially those bowling at above 137kph.

There's very little separating the two, I don't think Hafeez is far better, just slightly.

Both need to be booted out. It's the Malik brigade who portrays him as our batting savior and the premier bat that we have.

How can you talk of potential when it comes to players who have been around for close to 20 years ?

You can only go based on performance in recent years and that shows that both are minnow bathers but that Malik has been doing more, at a quicker rate. Even against England, his 77 was crucial in our won win there chasing 300. Professor to played a good knock in Australia, but at a slower rate and after being dropped.

Both overall are incredibly similar, but there is very little difference. Plus I am majorly put off but that disgrace Professor did in the 1st ODI. Whatever Malik's numerous faults, he has not been selfish since his comebacl

As I've said a dozen times, bring the World XI to asia with the top notch players and he'll bash them like minnows, everyone has his her weaknesses and he isn't good on the bouncy tracks outside asia that sit!

Hafeez at the other end was phenomenal in the T-20 WC against the top teams and way better against Australia and England? Just in your dreams bro!

Sorry but Malik has to stay. He was decent against Australia with scores of 42* 39 47 10* and now he's performing again.

He's performed well since 2015 to be fair to him, and yes I don't see him doing so well against the best attacks in the world but we lack anyone better in his position. He can anchor the innings well and rotate the strike often, he has found form in the last 2 years.

All we can do is hope he'll do better at the 2017 CT, and seeing as he had decent (not the best but decent) numbers against Australia away and did perform at Cardiff, surely he can't do worse. His attitude and effort to keep high levels of fitness show promise though, hopefully he can go the extra mile.

He has had a great career by most standards but I feel like he has underachieved a bit given his talent. His widerness years from 2009-15 dragged him down but atleast he has come by strongly towards the twilight end of his career.

At this point - he is still our best ODI batsman after Babar and understands the modern game like no one else in Pakistan. On top of that is an excellent leader and captain.

The numbers don't lie. Malik has been impressive and done well against all teams he has faced. Whether he is gonna step it up at big stages like Champions Trophy and World Cup remains to be seen but so far he is doing pretty well.

He might be only player to score century in every positions. Grooming the future means nothing if Pakistan is not playing in WC. Pakistan needs to win to qualify. Grooming should not compromise the priority of winning.
