Should Mohammad Rizwan still be in the squad after such performances?

5 of 21 today by this loser. Was also out on 0 but umpire didn't give the call

19 of 43 today while everyone else collapsed around him like a house of cards and he didn't even care to manage drs when he knew full well rain was coming?

Allah

Why do people vanish from this thread whenever rizzu fails? Or performs poorly.

You lot are proving to me why you're dishonest with yourself

Are you in senses, everyone else collapsed do what he should have done , come down the track to slog.

Saim Shafiq KG Agha that's four batsmen who failed miserably. What has Rizwan to do with this

Bro with all due respect leave it be.

We both know full well that rizwan plays every game in a similar manner. Unless he's facing C string or Sri lankan bowlers, Dude is clueless against even semi decent bowling.

He scored 44 of 72 while batting first against aus. Even today when only 2 wickets were down and he could have easily scored, He played 10 dots and took 20 balls to hit 3 runs.

Situation has nothing to do with anything. Same misbah level excuses over and over.

This is how Rizwan bats. Plain and simple.

Misbah was much better then Rizwan when it came to fooling people, but with Rizwan, people praise him because he has a nice personality, that’s literally what you say about a lady who only got one thing going for her, and in this case, what we saw was, Zimbabwe violate this nice personality. But here’s the thing, it doesn’t matter how many times Rizwan is violated, he’s still pretty.

If I’d just woken up in the afternoon and checked the scorecard, I’d probably think the same as you. The scorecard makes Rizwan look much better compared to everyone else.

But cricket isn’t just about numbers, there’s a lot more to it. Things like intent, pressure, momentum, and game awareness matter just as much.

When we lost two early wickets, Rizwan, being an experienced player, should’ve stepped up and put some pressure on the Zimbabwe bowlers. Even a boundary or two at that point could’ve shifted the momentum towards Pakistan and made them think twice.

Instead, he was just playing it too safe, poking around without any intent, and to top it off, he was even caught on 0, but Zimbabwe didn’t appeal.

Stuff like that doesn’t show upson the scorecard, but it makes a huge difference in how the game plays out.

And look, it’s understandable if this was against Australia or India, but for God’s sake, it was Zimbabwe.

This wasn’t the kind of bowling attack that should’ve kept someone like Rizwan quiet.

Sean Williams was looking to pump Pakistan as captain. He came and batted with positive intent! Then look at how he came to bowl with a mission! Relentless bowling!

I’m hoping for Sean Williams to absolutely school Rizwan in this series! Then his fanboys can blame Aqib Javed and not him

So you drop the captain based upon 1 or 2 bad series.

There’s a long stretch of poor performances with the bat and on top of that, serious evidence of meddling with Pakistan cricket affairs behind the scenes. Why do we want a non-performing captain, why should he be given special treatment ? Is he the second coming of Imran Khan with his leadership skills ?

Painful watching his knock against zim is 3rd ODI. Could not believe he's regressed so rapidly.

Earlier he used to take 15 balls to get going but now his innings just never attains any flow.

He's not an ODI number 4 clearly and would be unfair to the team if he continues playing at that spot

real test will be the sa tests.Hope he is expozsed by coetzee and jansen but the thing is we dont a wk who can replace him

Probably just his real age showing. 32 is very likely only on paper.

Probably when he is struggling to time the ball to this degree but he has always been a very limited batsman, he has just been worked out now by most good bowlers and can’t find a way to adjust.

Maybe another call with Misbah is long over due, previously he gave him the slog sweep, maybe he can give him his most prized asset, the same blade used by Maximus in the Coliseum; the forward defence :yk3

I wish to Ping my brothers @Rana @TheSultan and @shaz619 for this.

Rizwan's stats since he became captain

Australia odi

74 Avg 75 SR

Australia t20

8 Avg 56 SR

Zimbabwe Odi

56 avg and 62 SR

^^ The reason why I wish to highlight this, is that this is the primary reason as to why Rizwan's stats are heavily inflated. It's because he's going not out and usually coming in at the back end of an innings to score some measily runs at a snails pace.

In reality rizwan's scores look something like this

44 of 72
37 of 47

Similarly his 19 of 43 againat Zimbabwe in the first odi boosted his stats to 56 avg against Zimbabwe.

These are the numbers that are frequently inflated and what fans constantly use to justify rizwan's avg.

In reality he is not an all format 40avg batter.

Logically he only avg 23 with sr 62 againat Zimbabwe but because he went not out not caring for drs the number has been boosted to 56.

Show the evidence of Meddling with pakistan cricket affairs. So if a player performs with the bat and doesnt win games that's fine?

What are the replacements for Rizwan as captain?

- Using his consultancy to directly conspire with the Pakistani management set-up
- Widely reported to have accepted his role based on specific guarantees
- Orchestrated the dosti yari cult which has plagued the Pakistani dressing room
- Refuses to admit his inadequacies as as a cricketer and is unable to bat anywhere other then the top order, not to mention disturbing the entire batting line up

Saud Shakeel would be my Test captain
Fakhar Zaman to lead the ODI’s & T20’s

I would allow Rizwan to play the Tests on probation, but he wouldn’t be in my limited overs teams. He is on the wrong side of his 30’s and you should be grooming a new keeper regardless, so I would give an opportunity to any promising young keeper who is willing to bat anywhere in the line up and is committed to attack, I can’t lose with investing in the future can I….
