He doesn't have the best stats as a player but led West Indies to the T20 world cup twice and has considerable experience on the T20 circuit. Zalmi doesn't seem to have done too badly under his tenure so far aswell and if they end up winning the PSL then his CV will be further enhanced.
He seems to have a decent understanding of Pakistani cricket and will have done his analysis on the domestic T20 circuit as a captain and coach the past few years.
I feel that with the T20 round the corner the PCB should employ his services for a short term coaching contract as his experience in the dressing room will be invaluable.
