Should Pakistan have picked more openers in the middle order for the tour of South Africa?

After watching Shan Masood bat today I have come to the conclusion that we fail due to bad choices rather than lack of talent. The team management knew very well that SA pitches will be dynamite and you need guys who know how to play the bouncing fast ball. I know hindsight is a luxury but wouldn't it have been better if we had picked more openers in the team and had the option to play them in the middle order. For example we could have picked guys like Sami Aslam and bat him in the middle order? Hey even an Ahmed Shehzad would have done better than our fragile batsmen...

What do you guys think? Going forward should we have this approach when we tour places like SA, Australia and New Zealand?

You can do that to a point but then what is the point of other batsmen?
