Was thinking this idea 2 leg spinner will not be bad idea shadab should bowl minimum 2 overs in powerplay while usman qadir in middle order .I know it will be gamble but i think it will be better and attacking option rather than playing one .

Surely we should test usman against newzealand. Some of his deliveries against zim was very good .Both are different bowlers and will provide good variety in the attack

You would have to drop Imad, who is incredibly economical. I don’t think Qadir will get away with his one or two bad balls per over and long hops the way he did with Zimbabwe - he will probably end up with an average match score of 2-40 or 3-40 I feel, which is relatively expensive and we would want that closer to 2-30.

Let’s see how he develops though, not keen on overhyping players but also not keen on writing them off either.

The best solution is to give Qadir the T20 matches against New Zealand A. If he performs, he can play the proper matches later.

Should play 11. Another groundbreaking record we can claim along with the youngest bowler to take a test hattrick.

In all seriousness though, it's certainly an option to consider going forward in T20s, however I don't think it's a wise move in New Zealand. The grounds are tiny, and leg spinners already have an almost inherent tendency to go for runs. Shadab's bowling will be murdered in the powerplay with only 2 fielders outside the circle.

Qadir is awful and he will get smoked on New Zealand pitches. Taylor alone will slog sweep him into the stands 2-3 times every over.

However, if that is what it takes to get rid of him for good, so be it.

Our fans always get carried away when a mediocre player performs against a minnow side.

Zimbabwe is a rusty team with very little ability to play spin. You could have picked Yasir Shah and he would have demolished them, and we know his capability in LOI cricket.

Give Usman 10 matches against India, England, Australia, New Zealand etc. and you will see how ordinary he is.

Shadab is a poor spinner but he is world class compared to Usman “I want to play for Australia” Qadir.

Taylor in his home condition is beast he has destroy many attack at home .He can destroy any bowler in given day it doesn't matter if it is chahal, zampa(top t2oi bowlers) or newbie like usman

I think shadab has to bowl outside the powerplay he is a wicket taker but he will go for runs but maybe an option they can look for.but I dont think the management will drop imad hes very economical and can provide batting at the end

Leg spinners will see nightmares on those 55 metre grounds .... and leg spinners like Usman Qadir might not live further to dream... Imad is one of the top T20 players from PAK and he should always play - if they go for second spinner, it should be Shadab.

Didn’t I tell you that the worst part of that ZIM series is that it’ll create day dreams .... out come is such ideas.

Day dreams are:

Khushdil, Qadir etc etc. Will fail against top teams.

Only Abdullah was good enough.

Khusdil might do well in T20s in NZ, if he avoids batting with angled bat and cross swings. He has enormous power - his miscued edges can clear Kiwi grounds, as long as he is playing it reasonably straight.

Qadir’s odds are extremely high for him - wickets are absolute belters, smaller grounds and Kiwis have few lefties + their three right handers are Will, Ross & Guptil ....😩

What do you think about Abdullah?

Will he play, should he play?

Not sure if he'll play or not, but I won't have played him in T20s - he is not a T20 player and even if he is successful for short-term, it'll eventually cost him because PAK's batting culture will force him to play T20s .... then based on that, he'll be dropped from ODI or Test. It happened to Taufique Umar, Imran Nazir (Other way), Asim Kamal, Yasir Hamid, Umer Amin ..... only lucky guy probably Asad who played quite few ODI with his 25/65 stats and 70+ Tests non stop ......

It's hard now because the competition has been really increased. I rate Qadir and think his action will be quite tough for some opponents to handle. If he spends more time with Tahir then he'll really learn the art of legspin.

NZ is the last place where I would play Usman Qadir. Anywhere else, I would readily play him over Shadab. Shadab is massively overrated but in NZ, he will be a better choice.

Shouldn't abdullah haider ammad butt rohail nazir qadir talat play in the shaheens 4 day and the t20 shaheen games.

Best thing is for qadir to play In the shaheens for his development he wont be under more pressure same with abdullah haider and so on

His bowling style is for longer formats , not 20 20

Then, like I said, he should play first class. We need to stop giving Test debuts off of T20 performances (Fakhar, Shadab, Faheem) - that includes Qadir too.

If you do not try, you will never succeed. Qadir should definitely be tested so that we can atleast know where he stands.
Imad is a well established player, he do not need match practises. He definitely is a strong contender of the world cup squad, but lets try Qadir.

I would apply the same logic on Malik. I will never discard a player like Malik from the WC squad, but right now I would give chances to Khushdil and groom him until the WC so that we are in better position to decide to play Malik or Khushdil.

2 spinners on village cricket sized grounds is asking for trouble. Even mishits on these pathetic small sized boundaries go for 6.
