Should Pakistan replace Sarfraz Ahmed in ODI team? :sarf

Instead may be select a WK who is a better hitter like Bismillah Khan?
 
Childish thread.

One bad performance and replace a CT winning captain. At the least wait till the series is over.

Yes and then Rahat Ali should captain Pakistan in ODI and T20.
 
Should not be dropped, but needs to take more responsibility and bat at 4. At the moment he is focussing merely on captaincy.
 
He is batting too low in the order. He should be either opening or number 4.
 
It doesn't matter if he fails or not. His runs are a bonus. His worth as captain will always be enough to keep him in the team.

give him a break. Look how far we've come from the azhar ali captaincy days...give him time to settle down

And play whom? Akmal, Rizwan, etc who are even worse?

Sarfraz will score runs again. He has always performed when he's under pressure.

I refuse to believe that Sarfraz is among the top 5 limited overs current batsmen of Pakistan. Pakistan is not that bad talent wise. In domestic there must be at least 5+ batsmen who are easily better batsmen than Sarfraz and still have not debut yet for Pakistan national team.
 
Sarfraz needs to open. He is very good when the fielders are in.

Umar Akmal needs to replace Shehzad

I'd like to add that Amir will obviously come in for Rumman/Junaid when he is fit.
 
yes team is looking good now . should drop him and Make malik captain . UAkmal wil be keeper
 
Just as a common courtesy after winning the CT I would give sarfraz at least one year before thinking about any replacements.
 
I agree that Sarfraz being pathetic in bat but his captaincy is match winning.
Thus replace Imad Wasim with Harris Sohail demoting Sarfraz to #7
 
The guy scored a match winning 60+ in what was essentially the CT quarter final and a handful of odis later some people want him dropped lol? Prior to the CT he had a very good series vs the WIs both home and away and before that he performed well in England (century at Lords, match winning 90+ at Cardiff).
 
Yep replace him with kamran and replace fakhar with shan masood and babar azam with Useless khan or Asad technique

We have to look at his captaincy over all not just the fact he was the winning captain of the CT.

I remember watching him captain the Quetta Gladiators, he was average. I cant forget the moment KP threw the ball at him and he simply didn't break the stumps, missing a run out because he was mind was all over the place.

His tactics are not that great and he rants and raves at his players too much.

For me he is a short term fix and not a long term captain. He's lucky Pakistan have some very special LOI bowlers under his wing at the moment.
 
Who would you replace him with? This guy is a clutch batsman who performs under pressure. Can't watch this series as I don't have the time or the channels so I can't judge his captaincy against Sri Lanka but his spot in the team should be safe.
 
He should keep his spot.

Sarfraz is a good captain but they should be selecting a backup WK.
 
Yes and replace him with Adnan akmal and bring back all the akmals and play Shan masood and Salman butt as openers with imran farhat at 3.

Right now, I see two options. 1st is that we persist with Sarfaraz, who’s individual performance is a bit iffy, and win matches. The 2nd option is that we bring someone who is performing well, like Azhar Ali, and have a loosing streak similar to SL. 1st option is a logical option if we want to win matches.
 
bring back Rizwan instead and make him captain of the team OR umar as WK/batsman and make him captain as well
 
If you want to promote standards in the team then everyone has to pull their weight and it starts from the top. Sarfraz is a passenger in the team and is not deserving of his place in the team right now. He has complete control over where to bat but yet chooses to hide.

The team must bring in a back up keeper or start grooming one atleast.
 
Easily one of the best captains to have ever play for Pakistan, it seems to me that you only just started watching cricket.

He may not be the best no. 4, but he is better at 4 than at 6. Doesn't have the big shots.

Hafeez is a more dynamic player and can play a role as a finisher.

Also possibly Haris Sohail should come in for Imad Wasim?
 
He is batting way too low down the order. I remember him struggling low down the order in the previous series too, and then a promotion up the order got him performing again. Hafeez is basically hogging a spot at 4. Batting order should really be:

1.)Fakhar
2.)Hafeez
3.)Babar
4.)Sarfraz+*
5.)Haris
6.)Malik (used as a float)
 
He is batting too low... Hafeez is hogging a place.....

Oh wait, who is the captain, it's Sarfraz. He could do what he likes, but he chooses not to bat up the order and take responsibility.....

Why is Sarfraz hiding himself?
