India have beaten Pakistan in 2015,2019,2016, Asia cup twice and once in CT 2017. Can you show me such cringe statements especially ridiculing religion, culture or even treating this as a war and chest thumping from any of the people in power?

I picked that time line because 2014 is when the so called “jingoistic/nationalistic” government came into power.

You don’t have to draw equivalence just for the sake of it. The cream of the crop in Indian society tends to maintain a decorum on such things.

I can understand Pakistani public hysteria after this win. Totally get it. I have néw found respect for a lot of Pakistani posters here as well who handled it gracefully. Even some rough banter or getting carried away a little as a fan is absolutely fine.

Apparently according to insiders at PTV Sports, Shoaib had been demanding more money i.e. Rs 1.5 million per month and a bonus of Rs 20 million for appearing on PTV Sports because PTV Sports demanded he commentate and be their expert on each and every match of the T-20 WC and he tried to justify his demands claiming this is how much he was being offered by the Indian Channels, other broadcasters like Geo, ARY to give interviews to them.

PTV Sports was not accepting his demands and he in turn said that i will balance my committments at PTV Sports with my other commitments and will only come to the Studio for the main games and the Pakistani matches.

Something definately was going on in the background for this to boil over live on TV. Maybe Nauman Niaz wanted to brutally humiliate Shoaib live on tv to teach him a lesson and hurt his ego.

I mean less than $10,000 a month isn't that much money considering the media traction that Shoaib Akhtar can bring.

A Sports is their major competitor in my mind, I haven't ever watched a Pakistani Sports Channel give more professionalism.

You can compare the dynamic:

PTV Sports tried to get too many chefs to stir the pot, literally 10 "experts" present. There is no time for anyone to talk enough, and moreover, you have Dr. Nauman talking more than some professionals.

A Sports has a completely different vibe, Fakhar-e-Alam is there to keep the conversation running, asking fan questions, but never speaking more than the ex-cricketers there. Everyone has fun to lighten the mood, and they have a good understanding. After an initial moment of tension between Waqar and Wahab, everything else has been smooth sailing.

To be honest, if Shoaib Akhtar was making such money through Indian broadcasters and interviews, why bother joining PTV Sports?

That is when Dr Nauman snapped at him live on air. After the break Shoaib and Nauman say live that it was all in good jest . But at the end of the show Shoaib says it was not in jest and he is quitting because of how he has been treated. Then Shoaib posts a video to his millions of followers after which the public goes after Dr Nauman Niaz for snapping at Shoaib akhtar live on air

You should read up on the history of the doc and how he has used his connections to stay on PTV Sports despite being removed terminated many times. He has also had documented issues with Aamir Sohail, Bazid Khan, Wasim Akram, Mohd Wasim in the past. He comes from an influential military family, it looks like his luck has finally run out.

Shoaib did not behave any differently on that episode as he did in the past. Even the doc himself indulged in similar banter with his guests in the past and the likes of Rashid Latif, Mohd Wasim have indulged in similar street banter, leg pulling with him on the show. He can't be okay with it for 5-10 years on the show and just magically one day take offense to it.

The likes of Jonty Rhodes have on air polity told him that the way he was conducting the show was extremely unprofessional.

The host is responsible ie Dr Nauman Niaz is responsible for creating a pleasant atmosphere on the show no matter how tough a guest is, you can't humiliate them live on air. According to Shoaib, his existing contract and practice with PTV Sports was open ended where he was allowed to work for them and give interviews to other channels.

When PTV demanded he give them full exclusive services and not go on any competing channels, they had to compensate him for the opportunity cost ie lost earnings and he demanded his monthly remuneration be increased from Rs 1.1 million to Rs 2.5 million along with a payment of Rs 20 million for the T20 WC which I think for a player of his fan following, broadcast demand is pretty fair. This is what was being negotiated and neither party had signed any new agreement yet

Inspite of what is being alleged ie Shoaibs superstar attitude, tantrums, contract violations behind the scenes, it did not justify the host ie Dr Nauman Niaz outburst live on TV. He could have easily refused to allow Shoaib to sit in the panel or be a part of PTV Sports all these years. The episode apart from these two has ended up humiliating Pakistan's image internationally

According to a sports reporter on Hum News, according to his sources at PTV Sports during that 30 minute break after the Doc called we are taking a break when Shoaib was like "No, No, No, Excuse me, Excuse Me", at the same time if you listen carefully it was Sir Viv also saying "No, No, No, No".

Shoaib gave Dr Noman a piece of his mind and immediately stormed off the PTV Sports studio and had gone all the way to his car. None of the Pakistani players or the PTV Sports staff intervened or did anything out of fear of facing the wrath of Dr Noman who has the power to hire and fire anyone without anyone questioning him. It was Sir Viv who got up and went after Shoaib and followed him all the way to his car and urged him not to walk away from the show and bought him back to the studio.

Sir Viv urged both Noman and Shoaib to hug each other and both agreed to play down the episode as a stunt and that both will apologize to each other on air.

Noman did not follow through on his promise despite many reminders and hints from Shoaib to do so or he is going to walk. Shoaib definately saw the tweets and got some messages from his friends about the public response and reaction and realized that he will look really weak if he completed the show without getting an apology from Noman and decided that the best way to really respond and damage Noman and get him into trouble is to resign and walk off the show live in protest so that it will get maximum reaction from the stakeholders.

Dr Nauman comes from a powerful military family and is a nooni patwari. He keeps coming back on PTV Sports after being fired numerous times and has been part of the PTV mafia.

And let's be clear about Dr Nauman, a few female employees at PTV Sports have gone to the Supreme Court claiming sexual harassment at his hands. He has very well documented issues in the past with fellow cricketers he worked with in PTV Sports and he had ousted because of insecurity ie Aamir Sohail, Bazid Khan, Mohd Wasim. Wasim Akram told him to improve the quality of the studio, cameras and overall professional ambiance of the show and was sent packing in 2017.

I would suggest you watch even and every Game On Hai featuring Dr Nauman Niaz, Shoaib Akhtar, Rashid Latif, Mohd Wasim and Co from 2016 to now and you will see that this sort of banter, style of talking, responding to a question with a question, jest, leg pulling, juggats was very common. Heck the Doctor indulged in these acts himself for the most part.

Whenever other hosts Shahzeb Khan or Altamash Jiva have hosted Game On Hai with these same guests, the show has been run a lot more professionally and the panel has mostly discussed cricket and other related topics with a lot more maturity, some laughter but mostly minus the banter, drawing room jokes, juggats that Dr Nauman Niaz encouraged

Dr Nauman cannot magically decide one fine day to take major offence to the same atmosphere and style of talking he had encouraged all his life with the same guest. Even Shoaib when he was told to leave was stunned and perplexed for 5 seconds before he responded with "No, No, No, Excuse me, Excuse Me"

In any case the PTV management out of which two people who are very close to Dr Nauman Niaz himself reviewed both the on air and off air footages of the day found Dr Nauman Niaz clearly guilty of misconduct and recommended he be taken off air immediately. Dr Nauman Niaz then threatened to prevent the show from being hosted without him because of which the pre match segment of Game on Hai was not held. Dr Nauman finally agreed to get off air under the condition that the PTV management also include Shoaibs name in the press release as well that he will go off air as well.

In any case Dr Nauman has been found guilty by his handpicked people and he is clearly guilty as sin in the court of public opinion

You don’t have to draw equivalence just for the sake of it. The cream of the crop in Indian society tends to maintain a decorum on such things.
