South Africa (106/6) defeat Netherlands (103/9) by 4 wickets to register their second win of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024

Bowled! Miller still at the crease. 16 needed off 13. One over has to be bowled by a spinner or a non regular medium pacer.

Single denied. Miller wants to do this on his own. 16 needed off the last 2 overs. All main pacers of Netherlands bowled out. South Africa favorites as Miller is there

Excellent innings by Miller to rescue South Africa.

Netherlands have already beaten their Afrikaner cousins in the last World Cup and gave them a very close chase today.

Similar rivalry as Pakistan-Afghanistan even though Afghanistan is clearly heads and shoulders above Pakistan these days.

Miller redeeming himself after failing to take SAF home in 2022.

Well done SAF.

That was another close finish but Miller's experience made the different at the end.

South Africa still have to face Mustafizur and co. on this pitch. This uneven bounce surface bridges the gap between sides a lot.

They should scrape out another win here somehow.

They'll get better pitches after that.

Bangladesh fielding is nowhere close to Netherlands fielding. Also tactically BD is not exactly the best side.

Miller steers South Africa to victory despite scare from Netherlands in crucial Group D T20 World Cup fixture

Aiden Markram opted to put Netherlands in to bat in New York in the Group D game.

After ten overs, South Africa had staggered to 32-4 as Tristan Stubbs and Miller attempted to steady the ship.

But Stubbs fell in the 17th over for 33, caught by Van Beek from a De Leede delivery, with 27 more runs still required from the final 22 balls.

Jansen was the next man in and wanted to finish with a flourish, but found himself bowled by an angled delivery from Van Beek as he looked to hit out.

It was left to Miller to get the job done, with two sixes and a four in the 19th over to take South Africa over the line.
