Simple equation

7 wickets in hand, 228 to get to salvage pride in this Test series.

Only problem is that Pakistan have had a horrible recent record of batting in 2nd innings so can this all, magically, change today?

We hope and pray!

Day 3: Stumps - Pakistan need 228 runs

Very tough situation... Almost impossible.....
Please show some fighting attitude..... :inzi

At best they will pass 300 ..
Asad will again hit cute 70,80 babar will hit the same sarfraz with 30,40

Bazid thinks Azhar's knee injury from a few years ago might be the reason Azhar hasn't been able to duck under the short ball. Either psychologically or physically.

I remember an ex-player (I think it was Biff) said something to the effect of, "if you want to know how strong your position is, add two wickets to the score".

Two quick wickets here would be devastating, methinks. Good luck though, Pakistan. You guys need this chase.

This match will be finish by lunch. This match will do more harm in future. Shafiq has already sealed the place and Azhar's poor performances will be covered by innings total.
Looks like both these useless seniors will torment us for another 3-5 years.

Asad will play 100 tests like this , he didn't score a single run in the first innings when it really mattered. But when even a 80 won't do any impact he is here with a meaningless innings.

Can we support the batters today and discuss post mortems of careers later!!
That shot by Babar was horrid

Asad is the luckiest guy to play so many matches for a team like Pakistan when better batsmen like Fawad is available.

This match will be over in the first session now.
Great delivery though.

Blimey, any half decent batsman will end Olivier's career. He does not have any conventional skills at all.

Pakistani batsmen just cannot play any sort of short ball.

As per usual one decent partnership, a new session starts and wickets start to fall. tempremant of our players is shocking.

Expect a losing 100 here from shafiq.

I think that first ball really messed him up because he decided after that not to take the short ball on.
Previously he was pulling and hooking

Pathetic end of tour for SA, please resign as captain or get rid of this useless player.

Our batsmen don't have any ability to play fast bowlers. Hope Shafiq will fail soon. Otherwise these idiots will torment us in future.

The short stuff will only work in SA against the Asian teams.
Not just Asians, only Pakistani. India and Sri Lanka have good batsmen to tackle this constant barrage of short balls. If someone can have a stat of the number of short balls he bowls, that would be an eye opener.

Bowls a full length floater, and gets driven for four :))

Pakistan have opened their 3-0 franchise in South Africa following the bumper success in Australia.

:))

Olivier has been sensational in this series. He would've troubled any batting lineup on these tracks let alone Pakistan.

Looks like Sarfraz will have hard time this tour. We will be whitewashed in test, ODI and T20 as well. We will be lucky to win a single match from 11. Our T20 winning series will be end here.

Philander getting injured in the 1st Test turned out to be Pakistan's biggest misfortune.

Just like we lost to NZ in the test series, yet dominated them in the LOI series last month?

What a profoundly prophetic statement!

Oh please his just a poor mans Liam Plunkett azhar asad sarfraz should be no benchmark to judge a bowler as they get bounced out like a number 11 would!!

Everyone was getting excited when Philander and Ndini were missing the first game

Little did they know that Oliver was going to absolutely destroy pak over the 3 games
