South Africa end Day 3 at 27/3 in their second innings, needing 148 to win the first Test against Pakistan

Babar's last 50 was 2 years ago in Test Cricket
26th December 2022 - he scored 161 vs. New Zealand

fingers crossed he can do it, and get over his rut

Getting tired of this Tapal Danedar ad

In sha Allah.

We need something special today.

No low clouds hanging overhead threatening to precipitate today. The threat is behind us alongwith exaggerated help for Saffers.

Bobzy and Saud showing their mettle it's going to be hard rest of the day for Proteas

Bavuma is another rohit ,one of the worst captain, this guy supposedly start with jansen who took 2 wickets instead continues with rabada who is leaking runs

Babar on 49*. Hopefully that was Rabada's last over in this spell.

Well played Zimbabar. But he should continue and get that 100 hopefully.

Really questionable captaincy not to bring Jansen on. Considering the amount of variable bounce he would be the most dangerous bowler on this wicket

19 innings and 2 years later...

If Bobzy comes back to his best it will be best news for Pak cricket in 2024 alongside Saim's rise

Anything less than a ten wicket loss is a good result for Pakistan.

Be a miracle to reach 350

Good from babar.

But he must not be satisfied with this and aim for a century.

Pitch has no pace. Shakeel has awful lot of time to paly his shots.
That's also a good point. Usually when Pakistani batsmen plays freely you would think the pitch has eased out. But time will tell.

Babar and saud in that danger part of inns, where they are set but have habit of throwing it away.

This is where big hundreds are needed

Rauf has played 45 ODIs, providing a meaningful sample size. It’s definitely still early days for Naseem. Even Pakistan's backups performed better than South Africa's. Abrar's backup, Sufiyan, and Rauf’s backup, Hasnain, both had decent outings.

It was a humiliation for South Africa, as even in the third ODI, Pakistan experimented with three bench players and still managed to beat them.
So now bilateral win in odi matter?

Oh Yaar, yeh kya bakwaas hai. Didn't you see the fielder for this shot there?

Survived all the jaffas and give his wicket away like that. Very disappointing

My days should have been a six or four...clearly you need to see if a fielder was there or not

Because if he's off he won't be allowed to bowl straightaway after taking the field. He'll have to spend equal amount of time on field first
Commentators confirmed its not an injury issue. Just really poor captaincy from Bavuma

Someone needs to take the game to them. Go for it. Gonna lose wickets anyway.

Saud unsettled them and gone back in to shell

This pitch has become so slow. Typically these shots on a fast pitch would go slightly behind the fielder that took the catch
