What's new

South Africa v Australia | 1st Test | Brisbane | Nov 9-13, 2012 |

Kallis has slowed down considerably. He was flying yesterday.

Not sure about Lyons domestic form but he is clearly our best spinning option. There is nobody in domestic contending in any way really. He has bowled well this session actually.

He did get some turn in the first session. SA will miss Duminy I feel on this pitch on day 5. Looking at the saffers rr, I think this match may well end in a draw, save for a steyn/ Morkel assualt.

Only 2 days left after this. Almost certainly a draw, especially if Kallis keeps going. Zzzzz..

Patto finally gets Kallis for 147, reward for some good bowling today from him.

Now we are in the box seat!

This match is going to be a draw.. SA tried to do the right thing by accelerating but unfortunately they lost wickets. If they would have reached 600 then they had a chance of winning otherwise it was always going to be a draw given a whole day was lost.

Completely agree. Hasn't looked the same since.

Love watching Steyn bowl. Rare sight these days.

Gone! Quiney gone and Morne take his first wicket!

In comes Ponting, the first batsman in this line up!

Damn rain killed this match. Could have ended being a cracker.

I don't get it...why do such quality batsmen go fishing outside off ???? :yk

either commit fully OR DON'T commit at ALL!! or suffer being caught behind

i know some deliveries are too good to leave....but that one was WAY outside off and Ponting just had to fish at it

Our bowlers must feel like throttling our batters right now, they worked like dogs to restrict the Saffers and grind out some wickets and the rest go out and hand over their wickets.
