Rudolph's finger injury seems to be bothering him a lot, playing very defensively.

Sri Lanka looking down the barrel here, do not see them picking wickets at all, unless SA muake a mistake.
 
16 overs to go, I think SA can add another 40 here that would mean they would be 120 runs at stumps , so around 60 runs trail
 
it's not an easy wicket, the Lankan bowlers have not looked that bad at all, just been some solid Test match batting.
 
If Sri Lanka do not pick a couple of wickets by stumps , they are up for a really long grind tomorrow.
 
Welegedhara continues here........ He needs to lift his game here. He has already played 15 Test matches.
 
I feel so bad for Srilanka, has always been my second favourite team... They dont even look the same team.. Eventhough their batting line up is pretty much the same from last year, but it seems as if they have no confidence.. Either its DILSHAN's captaincy OR not being paid since feburary..

Sri Lanka need one inspirational spell here from someone, they need to do something. The match is heading towards one conclusion - A BIG SA WIN
 
Ah crap they sent Steyn instead of Amla. Disappointing from SA. Why would you send the best bowler in the world as a night watchman and expose him to this bouncy pitch? Would be terrible if he got injured.

S.A will be looking to build a very strong lead tomorrow. SL`s bowling once again has looked toothless and until that changes best they can hope for is drawn test matches or competative defeats.
 
This is getting sad some one needs to help SL. Cant afford too many poor nations in cricket we already got plenty !
 
Pierera & Matthews are similar kind of players, should not be playing in the same team, together\.
 
Sri Lanka have bowled well here today, they need a few more here of those..... before lunch.

It is really foolish to play both Matthews and Pierera in the same team, they bring nothing new with them, I think Ajanta Mendis should be given a go in test matches.

I think If Sri Lanka can restrict the lead to under 75 or say 80, they would have done agood job
 
For all their great bowling attack BOI the SA batsmen are below avg barring Kallis..

Perera averages 38 in domestic with the ball. It's laughable they expect him to hack it in tests when he averages a part timer record in domestic first class. He's more of a batsman than bowler in that format.

Really stupid inclusion I agree with you.
 
Not surprised by this. SA have prepared a great pitch for bowlers. So much that even Sri Lankan bowling standards look decent and can get batsmen out.

If SA had prepared a bit of a better batting pitch, they'd have done much better. Sa bowlers would have had the quality to bowl well and get something out of less bowling friendly pitches, and Sri Lankan bowlers would struggle (and their batsmen still collapse). Got to get the balance right really.

SA will win this, but they sure made it harder for them than it actually needed to be. It's never too difficult to take 20 wickets in SA, so no need to go overboard in favouring the bowling.
 
This match will not last the distance, a lead of over 150 plus would mean that Sri Lanka would collapse
