Its an ideal opportunity for Jamshed and Shehzad to build a 100 runs partnership, and set up a platform for others to capitalize. Pakistan will have a very good chance to win this match, if they could set a target of 250ish.

Playing to not lose the wicket. It would be worse if they lose the wicket. Very defensive approach so far. Let's hope it works.

Philander is getting some swings. But, the pitch is not doing much. Seems like a batting pitch so far.

Slow and steady start for Pakistan.

Not much intent out there.

if these lot want to play at this rate, then they have to make sure they don't loose their wickets

These batsmen are not rotating at all. Putting too much pressure on themselves.

18 without loss after 7 overs can only be considered good for a side lacking in confidence.

Where are the good old singles?

As the subject says, singles help batsmen settle and bowlers unsettle but unfortunately these batsmen are very poor in taking singles...tuk tuk effect I guess...someone needs to help these youngstas, high time I guess.

Sky sports 3 red button has the india match as does ss3 main channel. Wth are they doing? Am I the only one having this problem?

Philander to Nasir Jamshed, 3 runs, lovely shot, he's been rather good with that shot this morning and excellent running makes sure they get three.

I could fly to Pakistan, get married, and have a kid by the time these jokers take a single.

Does anyone know if this match is being broadcast live on any UK channel?

kick misbah
bring a real captain who can mentor them on how not to play tuk tuk
thats it

I had that. Go to the tv guide and search through sports -> cricket and scroll down till you find this game and it takes you directly to the red button channel.

decent start if we don't lose wickets in the next 5-10 overs... but we always lose wickets!

Shehzad and Jamshed opening combo has yielded an average run rate of 3.56 in 11 innings together

:91:

Blame the Indians, they took all our singles. It was a ploy from India to invite us over there and they sucked out any run-making ability our batsmen could ever make. The Devils.

Where is back and across movement?

It requires precise timing, which our batsmen don't have. They either do it to early or too late. That is why most coaches at our clubs encourage batsmen to stand still.

We have to accept that this is an absolute minefield and they are doing well at 3 an over. Just because the wicket is flat doesn`t make it a minefield for these guys.

such poor poor batting techniques on display. no back and across hence no chance maneuver the strike for a single.

Which tv guide? I tried the guide button on the remote and it came up with all the channels. No option for cricket

This is a 270-280 pitch. The way these two open, it makes it a very uphill task for the middle-lower order to post a substantial score.

Umar and Hafeez will have to play blinders again and Misbah will have to get out of his comfort zone.

PTV can't wait to get on the commercial break. Such a huge difference watching the game on Sky vs PTV

Watching Shehzad bat, reminds me of how Imrul Kayes used to bat, it was so painful as he used to block and waste thirty to forty balls and score ten to twenty runs and then our middle order used to hit out and get out.

50 in 17 overs and two down....thats what i think will happen

What's worse is both the batsmen are playing defensively. Someone needs to be aggressive
