Req. run rate over 7 now. A couple of quick wickets here will help further.

Of course. This partnership as well as whoever bats with ABDV is going to be crucial. Kallis does not have the ability to take away the game from the opposition with a big RRR (touchwood) and Duminy and Miller are very hot-and-cold. These two are making the RRR seem easy though and keeping it in control, making sure it doesn't go over 8 before the last 20.

Kallis plays for his average, rarely does he come off in a run chase with a big ReqRR.

As I type, Afridi strikes.

AFRIDI STRIKES! Brilliant stuff. Huuge, huge huge wicket. Afridi the partnership breaker as always.

Big wicket from Lala, good catch from Misbah. This is the moment, c'mon boys !!

Afridi continues to pick up key wickets at crucial junctures of a game. Great stuff.

Afridi comes through! This is why he deserves to be in the team. learn something Hafeez

Was bringing in Kallis a really good idea? ABDV needed for this situation asap.

Probably a good move for SA to send Kallis now really, these two bat well together and can set a good foundation for AB.

This game has all the makings of a classic methinks. This one will go down to the wire, SA not to get rolled over easily at all. Gonna be some last-few-overs stuff I reckon..

So Kallis will make 40 odd at a strike rate of 60-70 and get out making it difficult for others to achieve the target :-)"

162 off 132 with the likes of ABDV, Duminy, Miller and McLaren (presuming they all click) is not tough whatsoever, with short boundaries, batting PP, and Anwar Ali to bowl his cross-seamed jaffas...

Trolls coming out of their caves on Cricinfo.

"Vivaswan: "No doubt that SA gonna win this match and series, but what about SA vs IND, that's gonna be a close call, but to be a bit more practical i guess SA are the favorites just because of their bowling"

Really top class control from Afridi, even with all variations - not seen this in a long time.

Afridi bowling extremely well.

Absolutely. Now I can't remember whether in the earlier tour of SA this year if he was just bowling absolute tripe or if the batsmen knew he was low on confidence and targeted him. Remember him going for over 60 in most of the games he bowled in, ABDV was hitting him away for 4s and 6s with ease lol.

Sensible knock by Amla, though a 50 by QDK would've been a lot more handy.

A 50 with a S/R of 63.3 would make sense if QDK was still there hitting 4s and 6s but he's gone now and Amla needs to accelerate

Again, SA doing an awesome job to keep the runs-to-balls gap at 30, which is very manageable.

Afridi bowling with all the control, Ajmal spraying it both sides.

Misbah needs to see the plan by SA atm - go crazy in the last 20 overs. Save Ajmal for then, he's not doing too well now anyway. Bowl out the likes of Afridi and Anwar who CAN be smacked for boundaries if the batsmen are willing to do so.
