Really hope the middle order and death bowling get tested in these last 2 odis.... but looking at the west indies bowling, doesn't look very likely.

I LOVE watching cricket from Port Elizabeth. More than anywhere else in the world.

That band is just awesome, it's simply beautiful.

I've got to go there one day.....

The moment everyone was waiting for, ABDV is in and that too with SA under immense pressure, 32/3.

Guess what, Amla isn't playing!

Finally a pitch with assistance for the bowlers. Ball deviating nicely off the pitch

I see the crowd packing up now.

Well I'm hearing the non-white members of the crowd singing Die Stem in the middle of the current national anthem, which is astonishing. What a country, where the people are so magnanimous that they sing the words of the people who enslaved them!

And we actually have a game on here. And a chance for South Africa to practise digging themselves out of a hole.

this is why I do not rate this S African side highly for the wc, They are too reliant on ABD and Amla

Amla sits out and ABD has one bad day and they all are looking like jokers out there

ABD and Amla at times do almost all the job in batting, At the very least SA needs one of there firing

Faf is still not completely settled in ODI's, De Kock is still yound, Everyone else is a bit hit and miss

A part of Die Stem is still in the national anthem. They just sang the normal anthem.

Yes, I know, which is amazing.

I went on enough rallies and marches in the 1980s against Apartheid (in England) that I could never sing those words. Yet they do.

It's inspirational really.

Heh, if you say so. The legacy of Nelson Mandela I suppose. Don't really want to commend much on the current race relations in South Africa, it gets depressing quite quick.

Uhm ... The ball is seaming around everywhere. Most of them have got out to really good deliveries. They're batting at a decent rate.

What has de Kock's age got to with it? He fails a third of the time and scores well most of the time. He scores a lot better then any other Protea did at that age.

Did Ntini just say his favourite to win the WC is Pakistan? Missed half of his sentence.

Gibbs and Ntini are quite decent commentators. Gibbs is quite full of himself at times, but Ntini is full of jokes as usual.

I think 250 can be defended with our main bowlers. With these? I dunno, hey. 280 maybe.

I am starting to gain more faith in Phangiso. Good test for him. After that Abbott and that T20, this will be interesting. With some key WI wickets it will be good.

Abbott can certainly get a couple with the new ball on this pitch. Morkel has been depressing of late.

True, Phangiso is quite good and we will most definitely need him in the WC. You know when Tahir does his thing of sucking. Lol, with Phangiso's smile he should be on TV.

Behardien with a nothing shot. Sigh. Got no choice but to support the guy cause he's in the world cup squad but he really makes it difficult.

Just get us to 250. I'm confident we can bowl them out. Unless Gayle feasts on the 2nd string bowling attack.

Miller gets his maiden ODI century. Job not done yet. I think he can be a very reliable number 5. Duminy is good at 6.

De Kock
Amla
Du. Plessis
De Villiers
Miller
Duminy

That's a great top 6.
