Sri Lanka (174/4) beat India (173/8) by 6 wickets in Match 3 of the Super 4s - Asia Cup 2022

SL has to choke big time to lose from this but the thing is they are capable of choking lol

They need Bumrah and Shami back ASAP regardless of what happens in this tournament.

98 off 70

That’s a cakewalk in Dubai even with 6 wickets in hand

Great start from SL. But you have to say this is a terriffic batting pitch.

Lankans chasing this better than they did against Bangladesh and Afganis

No need to take these risky singles

Feel sorry for Arshdeep, probably the end of his international career if India loses here

No such thing. A bowler will not be evaluated on dropping a catch. Even Hasan Ali was dropped because his bowling was rubbish. Not because he dropped a big catch. Arshdeep was one of the better bowlers in the match.

I agree with you, he is basing it on what he has seen in last few games. Nothing wrong with his comment but I think this pitch is not easy to hit. It is pretty slow and not coming well on bat.

One can expect comments like this from someone who calls an inning of 17 runs a cameo. :facepalm :inti

He has not been the worst bowler today but he does look very limited so far

looks like there wont be another india pakistan fixture. Was kind of hoping for another electric encounter.

I meant the Pakistan match. His overall contribution was good, so it makes no sense that the management would be placing him on notice for dropping a catch, when his primary job is bowling.

I can't recall anyone who was dropped from any side just because of a single dropped catch if they are doing ok in their primary skill.

India historically have had a weak bowling attack. Over the last decade this improved but it seems back to normal now.

Kumar is the only decent one.

Pandya, Singh are not faster than Afridis topsinners. :afridi

India deserves to loose and they would loose this match.

Had said this before the start of the match and i stand by it. I couldn't believe my eyes when i saw the betting odds before the match, giving India 70% chances of winning. A team which plays Ashwin, Kohli, Rahul, Bhuvi in its ranks and which celebrates a first round victory against Pakistan as it's some world cup victory, only deserves to loose the rest of the matches.

Mamoon we are missing the no. 1 Indian fan

Ofcourse he should not be dropped for the catch but I cant see how he is better than Siraj, Bumrah or Shami?

Sri Lanka batting cleverly and hitting to their strong areas.

Could this be another 10-wicket loss for India in a T20I.

This pitch has flattened out and seems much better for batting than Sundays pitch

It's all about creating pressure upfront. If they had a couple of wickets upfront, they would never be playing so free right now.
That's why new ball is crucial in t20.

Mendis watches the ball right onto the bat

Good player

Certainly no one in India is better than Bumrah, but Shami has always been expensive at the death. Arshdeep is a superb death bowler and very rarely gets smashed, and almost never at the death. India's first choice pace attack is Bumrah, Bhuvi and then Arshdeep/Harshal Patel who are very different kinds of bowlers but both very good.

I find modern day Indian team overconfident/complacent.

Indian team before used to have a killer instinct. That is missing currently.

This mauling only proves how overrated IPL is as a T20 competition. We haven't won a single WT20 in last 15 years and by look of things, this is not going to change for another 2 years at least.

Whoever isn't playing is very good 🙂

He was just too bored out there

Wanted to slog the last ball too

Chahal gets one fluke wicket on a halwa delivery which Nissanka could have put anywhere but he chose Rohit at mid wicket.

Chahal showing the rest of the Indian bowlers how to pick up wickets. If only he could bowl 8 overs. :bumrah

Gunathilika is the big wicket if they get him

He is a match winner

We have not played well but if teams chasing win all games in UAE what's the point of playing here?

Arshdeep rarely gets smashed? The guy has played for 2 seasons in IPL, in the most recent one he took 10 wickets in 14 matches. Do you guys ever look at the record of players or just go by what Sanjay and Ravi say on TV? He hardly has any track record to use the terms "superb" and "rarely" for him.
