If Aus and Pak gets eliminated, I am going to run out of teams to support. Maybe WI? They have a monster team on paper. Romario Shepard at #8, Matthew Forde #9.

Addition of Vikram Rathore & R Sridhar in support staff have had positive effect of Sri Lankan outfit even after losing Hasaranga & Pathirana.

Pathum Nissanka is next Sangakarra.
 
SL always produces these big games where it gives the impression that SL of old is back. However, immediately next they follow it up with stinker by either losing badly or against a minnow. Hopefully they will be consistent this time

Not yet completely. If Zim lose to Ire and SL by decent margins and if Aus wallops Oman and boosts their NRR , then Aus still has a chance.

Australia always gives their best and goes. Most of the time other teams makes errors either on the field and off the field self-destruct hands the win to Aussies. That is what i expected today. Didn't happen. Most famous one was West Indies in 1996 semi final. AUSTRALIA WAS 15/4 at one point. They scratched around and made 207. Then while chasing WI was 165/2 and bowled out for 202 lol losing 8 for 37. Warne was masterful.

They dropped Renshaw today . Not sure why.

Also that bowling attack, without Hazlewood can be taken apart and is too reliant on Zampa

And thats been the thing with thier team. They never give it easy. You need a special knock or game to kncok them out.. One less "Head"ache for Ind though !:)

That would be bhargav Rama aka parshuram,Ravana with his deeds of taking advantage of Rambha wife of nal kubera and madan manjiri cancels that,m , parshuram on the other hand fought for justice not to forget his warrior skills were unparallel and offcourse he was a genius teacher and had greatest teacher ever to teach him aka Mahadev, people just don't understand how great parshuram was,we have better brahmins than Ravana.

Australia takes every game seriously in a world cup. It is a theory to justify their flops spun out mainly by some Asian fans. They are nto that good in this format in spinning conditions.
 
I remember the good ol days of 2007-2011. SRL were easily second best team at that ERA with all their legends.
 
Anyways coming to match this was exceptional performance from lanka and hats off to their commitment also their fielding has been exceptional easily the best fielding side in Asia,i think they are in group Y

They were a good team from 1996 till 2015.

They won the 2014 World T20.

Their decline started after Sanga, Mahela, Dilshan etc. retired.

Bro And this wasn't even spinning conditions this australia side is well below england some asian fans just overrate australia when in reality they are just ordinary team not long ago got blanked by pakistan 3 nil.

I am taling about guys who put forward theories like "They become beasts in ICC events". They fail in a lot of tournaments as well. But our fans give some excuses "They don't take it seirously" . That is a total BS theory.

Parshuram ji washing the title of Bhagwan as he was an avatar of Bhawan Vishnu himself.

Raavan, was a mere mortal Brahmin who achieved the greatest knowledge of all the 4 vedas and the six shastras besides besides being the greatest music composer of all time, as he composed the Shiva taandav strotam.

I’m not saying he’s greater than a Bhawaan. But the greatest mortal Brahmin to ever live. There’s no debate actually as per Vedic knowledge

West Indies will be swatted aside by India. Only South Africa and New Zealand look half decent right now, otherwise this is India’s World Cup to lose as we thought before.

Their WC team is much different. They lost to teams like Nepal too. I think WI is the only team that can challenge IND, especially if they face them in Mumbai stadium. They are unstoppable there.

Where did you get this theory? India vs Australia in knock outs in ICC LOI events

India 5 Australia 1

They won in 2 finals That's it

But whenever Austrlaia meets India with Pandya they always lose . So far 5 ICC events played with pandya against Australia. India won all 5 of them. If there is one team that can beat Australia that is also India in ICC events.

Aus went in Champions Trophy and this Wc without their premier fast bowlers. this is where " non serious " theories are born. it seems they get serious about Ashes or BGT only. May be ODI wc too

West Indies' bowling is a big liability. But the batting line-up is one of the best in the tournament. If their bowlers do just enough batters can make up for the rest

They had all their players last time. Still lost to Afghanistan and failed to make the semis.

Cummins skipped 2 or 3 Ashes test, Also Hazlewood also missed test.. Bumrah did not play CT for India. Fast bowlers do have to manage their workload as they play in lucrative franchisee leagues

I only remember two events in the last decade: One in 2015 ODI WC Knockout and 2023 ODI WC Final.

Bumrah played 2 WTC finals , one CWC final and 2019 Semi. Did nt make much difference. He did have impact in 2024 final. thats the only tournament i can think of whete Bumrah's presence was consequential
 
Australians will be in big trouble when Starc, Hazelwood, Cummins and Bolland retire. So far their back up pacers have not looked impressive at all.

Yeah, their T20 WC form has been poor. And going forward with the 3 great pacers at the end of their careers - Starc Hazlewood Cummins - they will not find it easy in the upcoming WCs. But folks saying Aus doesnt take T20Wcs seriously is total BS as you said.. They take every WC seriously , its just that they havent been good at T20 WCs and thats the reality !

They take it less seriously than test and ODI WC for sure.
