Arshad Iqbal is definitely a very good future prospect for Pakistan. He was good against Ind in the WC SF too earlier this year. On the other hand, Rohail Nazir, tipped by some posters on this forum to play for Pak Seniors, seems to be over-rated at this stage. The kids have time to improve though.

Who would've thought four teams qualify for the semifinals in an Asian tournament and Pakistan is not one of them. As they say everything happens for the first time!

After a bad tournament, when most grudge goes against selectors, then I can only say that fans are living in delusion. There are lot more that Basit Ali, if chasing 200, two of top 3 gets out in 20s after spending enough time in middle. Also, PAK’s national captain for 3 formats is a WK, playing solely on Captaincy merit - therefore this Nazir kid should not the cursed.

Any way, any U19 tournament hardly matters - it’s just a tool of finding one, may be two players max. Previously, PAK used to pick 1-2 players for National/A Teams from U19 immediately after the tournament, now that’s not required because of PSL emerging quota

BCCI under 19 should count themselves lucky that Pakistan are not in their way. On the flip side, they now face Bangladesh. They should be ready to get their sites hacked by BD hackers if they beat Bangladesh in the semi final.
