Abid and Fawad are pakistan's best spin players. Better than babar.

Not talking about just here, but in subcontinent you need to score quick. Shafique for eg. went at 30 sr even on those flat tracks.

They all bat around 30/40 SR.
Azhar Ali being the so called best bat, leads the way. The norm for him is 3 runs of 40 balls. I mean, he did his job for sure, but is in the team way too long now. Should have been dropped years ago.

Abid does not bat around 30-40. He is always over 50 sr in subcontinent. Fawad too has better strike rate than Azhar and looks to score vs spin.

Its not only this innings, i mean overall. The top 4 or top 6 to say bats with 0 intent. There is only 1 gear and thats to block everything. Test cricket is not easy. This lot is way too soft. Let them play T20 cricket, thats what they like and feel comfortable in.

Fawad needs to retire, but fact a useless player in Agha was picked means fawad will be back.

Saud shakeel or kamran ghulam should be in the team now.

Pakistan's approach as always costing them once again. Had all of them looked to be proactive at the crease the score could've been 200 by now.

Everyone knew the wicket will be turning sharply for the SL spinners from even day 1 so this timid dead bat approach of going at 1-2 runs an over will never save you a test.
 
To be honest this isnt spitting like bangladesh pitches we must be very poor ..team selection playing six bowlers was stupid. Their batting is much stronger. Mark my words they wont GIFT their wickets in second innings

Pakistan has no chance, even a 50 runs lead won’t be sufficient for this cowardly team to survive.

Jayasuriya will take another 5-fer in the second innings. Congratulations to Sri Lanka for winning the match and possibly the series as well.

Pakistan is a clown team. You can’t win when you play like cowards and persist with players who were finished years ago.
 
What was the point of playing Agha Salman if he wasn't going to bowl and came to make 5 in 20.

Would have made sense of playing a proper batter either giving a debut to Saud or just sticking with Fawad instead.

It had started to ease out now. Decidedly became easier to bat. A partnership could have been built here.

They'll most probably take a 50-60 lead already and would need to make 100 more even if they crumble that is still they'll be infront.

The fact they let SL put 90 for last 2 wickets was poor and will cost them here. Pathetic batting as well has made issue even bigger.
 
Hassan Ali is the most selfish tailender I have seen. He just wants to bat for his personal ego, tries to dispatch every ball out of the stadium but he obviously does not have the talent and skill to be an effective slogger.

what is babar doing, why is he batting time, pak will be batting last batting time literally makes anything tough even harder for pakistan. hit some boundaries and hope man. pakistan are so timid its bordering on illogical.

Pakistan have not been a great side in Asia since 1995. Against top 8 sides in Asian conditions, they have only won 44 and lost 34, SL have won 51 and lost 45.
India have won 75 and lost 25.

India are a very tough side to beat in Asian conditions but its interesting how Pakistani fans always fancy their chances of beating India anywhere in Asia.

Pakistan and Babar need to learn a thing or two from Chandimal and the innings he played against Australia in the recently completed series.

Sri Lanka added 49 runs for the last wicket where the No.11 played 9 balls.

Naseem has already played 12 balls.
 
Is it just me, or has Kumar Dharmasena become one of the straight-up worst umpires in world? I know he used to be good. But since the last series he has made a number of howlers. The Naseem review was another egregious decision since there was daylight between bat and ball.
 
This is where no Pakistani batsman has been able to match the Quality of Inzi. My man would smash bowlers to all parts with the tailenders on the other end and manage to keep them on the other end for many many overs. Babar is a long long way away from that kind of cricket and it's a shame to see him bat this way to keep his average boosted.
